Heiny Place, really?
Seen in new area in Pine Ridge.
They must be running out of names! |
A lot of interest focused on that area it seems.
|
You could join us in Osceola Hills and live on Vertigo or Coward court, or live in Pine Ridge on Manly street.
|
I wanna live on Heiny. Then I could tell folks to park their heinies. One if my faves is still the intersection of Baldwin and Bassinger. Think someone has some fun with the names once in awhile.

Street names
Many of the streets in Pine Ridge tea are named after long time employees of The Villages.
|
Heiny
I live on a street with a weird name as well and have wondered if there is a process for getting a street name changed.
Years ago, in Columbia, Md., people living on "Coon Court" were successful in getting the named changed, but I never heard what process they followed. |
Running out of names?
How about, "Tuchas Court". :D |
Then was this:
Operator: 911. What is your emergency? Man: My wife had a heart attack. Hurry! Operator: Where are you, Sir? Man: On the corner or Sassafras and Eucalyptus. Hurry, damn it! Operator: Would you spell the street names? Man: Hang on. I am dragging her over to Oak and Elm. |
Y'all remember Hiney Wine? Here is a commercial.
|
Years ago I worked in Muncie IN and according to the commercials on the radio, Heiny wine was only sold in cans. They could not afford delivery trucks. As a result, the distributors used bikes to pedal their Heiny's all over town.

Here is a great list of funny street names....Dumb.com - Funny Street Names
One of my favorites is Psycho Path...... |
For what it's worth: The street you live on can actually affect the marketing of your house so a realtor told me a few years ago. If there is any validity in this, a funny or strange name of your street might not be so funny when and if you go to sell. Of course, this was just the opinion of a well known Realtor. Interesting---but just a thought.

I like seeing this humor on here much better than the griping or complaining or knowing
all the answers to everything- well done on the street names. |
reminds me of when I was on a fantasy football team. our team name was... wisenheinies
|
I hope the developers are reading this thread and change it quickly. I think a previous poster was right in saying that the street name can affect sale and re-sale of the homes.
Butt Place would almost be better! |
The nickname Heinie to a German is much like the nickname Tony to an Italian.
Heinie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I think that using the word Heinie for your backside is not an awful thing. I can think of far worse. And everyone does have one. |
Several street names are named after people/families who live and work around here. I'm sure this was an honor for someone. Sad to see it made fun of.
|
OK.
We live on Gullberry Place. Looked it up. No such word in the dictionary. I always wonder if it just means Sea Gull Poop. Someone was really creative with this one. |

Never thought about resale value because of a street name. Never thought about buying a home on a street I could spell easily. We are all different.
Names are names. youtube, john jacob dingleheimer smith - Bing video |
The streets in Pine Ridge have been named for top salespeople and employees. Heiny is a sales person's surname.
|
Kudos to a successful Salesperson. MR. Heinie.
Where does he sit? Anywhere he wants to. |
I hope this is the "end" of this thread! :D

Something doesn't smell right.

I just wouldn't want my street to be the butt of jokes.
|
I would not pick up any paper blowing around.
