Who would support Trump

The real disappointment in all this comedy of an election year is who in their right mind would support Donald Trump. What is happening to our society.... racism, hate, bullying, and down right greed.

Who would support Trump ME

Guest 09-26-2016 08:57 AM

What is incredible to me is how Trump supporters consistently think he will help them with his policies.

I know they do not care to hear OR EVEN LISTEN to this, but with what they are complaining about you would think this might be important,,,

"As Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic rival Hillary Clinton seek to sway voters with their economic plans, another group is also voicing their opinions: economists.

From almost every corner of the U.S., they’ve been crunching the numbers and running models, trying to understand how the candidates’ plans for everything from monetary policy to immigration will affect the nation’s economy. Both candidates have proposed policies that, according to Morgan Stanley, would “alter the underpinnings of the U.S. economic outlook.”

Trump’s supporters are hoping he can revive manufacturing and bring back jobs to many struggling areas of the country. Clinton’s supporters hope she’ll tackle student debt and help working families get ahead. Unlike the electorate, however, economists -- regardless of political outlook -- are more likely to be in agreement: many view Clinton’s plans as neutral for the economy, while warning that Trump’s plans would result in an economic malaise.

Trump’s policies could lead to a recession, prove “disastrous” by interfering with free trade and include a budget that simply “doesn’t add up.” Those are assessments from groups ranging from the nonpartisan credit ratings agency Moody’s to the conservative think tank American Enterprise Institute.

“Large tax cuts without even larger spending reductions mean explosive deficits and debt,” wrote Jeffrey Miron, the director of economic studies at the libertarian Cato Institute. “Massive interference with free trade means a far less productive economy.”

Business economists, too, aren’t thrilled with Trump’s plans. Only 14 percent of more than 400 members of the National Association for Business Economics said they believe Trump would be better than the other candidates at managing the economy. Fifty-five percent said they believed Clinton would prove the better president when it comes to economic management."

You need to keep the message simple like "Lock her up" for it to have a chance being adopted. How about "We'll Go Broke."

OK....based on what ?

Economically there is sufficient info to show he will be a disaster for US, BOTH with taxes, debt and trade policy.

Terrorism, he is the favorite of ISIS, has ties to terrorism through his business interest in Iran and Turkey.

Foreign relations, he seems to be hell bent on destroying our alliances in concert with Russia's wishes, and has even hinted at arming more countries with nukes.

He is the worst possible candidate in centuries to bring people together.

I really hope for a response because I have been waiting how he will be good for the people, BASED ON HIS PROPOSALS FROM HIS LIPS AND CAMPAIGN.

First point CBS leans LEFT-translation they will support them democrats.

Secondly, I will bet you voted for OBAMA.

Third-look at the FACTS. Trump has spent far less than the CLINTON GANG on presidential campaign. Last number i saw was two weeks ago and the Clintons had spent 13x what Trump has. EVEN AS A CLINTON SUPPORTER, you can see the polls are tie. Is it not clear to you who gets more VALUE for every dollar spent.

OBAMA-who as I said your surely voted for will leave a 10 TRILLION DOLLAR UNPAID BILL FOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT.
Whoever wins the election will need to deal with THE OBAMA DEBT. Do you have any comprehension of what TEN TRILLION DOLLARS IS?????????
YOU and the other Democrats parrot the TAX THE RICH LINE. They WITH NO THOUGHT scream tax the rich. The top 1% and they say I'm not in the top 1% so someone else will pay MY BILL. THE FACTS are if you simply take everything the top 1% have it will not pay the OBAMA OVERDRAFT. The poor are not as mobile as the rich are.
MEXICO will gladly accept our rich and they will send back as many poor as we will accept. WHAT IS THE EXCHANGE RATE? Ten to one? A hundred to one?

First of all that is the reply when a LIBERAL has nothing of value to say. The charge is as fair as asking do you still beat your wife any short response and you are found guilty.

THE FACTS-
Obama received 56% of the total vote. Blacks are 13% of the population and 98% of blacks voted for Obama. HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT AS RACIST?????

Had the non-black vote been as RACIST, Obama would have received roughly 28% of the vote-THE WORST DEFEAT IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

As stated above Obama got 56% of the total vote. To do that Obama received 42% of the non-black vote.

Obama was granted a unique opportunity to bring AMERICANS together. LOOK AT WHAT HE WILL LEAVE FOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT TO DEAL WITH.

It's ALREADY a disaster. What do you call it when you owe $10 trillion and you borrow another $10 trillion to pay expenses? O made us TWICE as poor as we were before. Instead of being $10,000,000,000,000 in debt, he made us $20,000,000,000,000 in debt.

"Terrorism" is just the latest boogeyman used to keep us all frightened and dependent on the "government" for our safety.

It's ALL lies my friend. How old are you? Have they EVER done what they said they would do? O is the only one who did...he "transformed" the country all right. A MAJORITY minority from age 6 down, that's quite an accomplishment, he presided of the destruction of this nation. 3rd world, "equal" to the rest in 30 years or less.

We are in a war that must be fought but simply can't be won. We are fighting the muslim-what ever you choose to call them, who intend to take over the world. There is no country to defeat. There is no leader to surrender and these people live among us. The infiltration of muslims is actually more along the way in Europe then in the United States.
The solution? Perhaps, like what happened in Ireland one day the terrorist leadership wondered what they were killing and dying for. IT TOOK 300 YEARS AND THAT WAS A SMALLER NUMBER AND A FAR SMALLER LAND MASS.
Sadat made an effort at peace. Sadat publicly recognized Israels right to exist AND HE WAS MURDERED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE.

First, the news reporting site is CBS but the economists are not left leaning so enjoy reading what Fox says.. Well should not say they "say" it. As CBS, despite your claims did not "say", they are sharing with you what world and national economists are saying of his plans. I also if you really care....just google Trumps economic plans and have a read.

"Economists say Trump's economic plan is an impossible blend"

Economists say Trump's economic plan is an impossible blend | Fox Business

PLEASE read it...if you are going to be conned, you might as well do it with eyes wide open.

Next....I most assuredly did not vote for OBAMA. I have opposed him in so many ways and on most issues so your assumption is just flat out incorrect. I prefer to deal with facts and not fiction or made up stuff.

The spending on his campaign means LESS THAN NOTHING.
TRUMP can PROPOSE a budget, but even high school civics class can allow you to learn that the Congress is the one responsible for the budget. I might add that watching Trump negotiate with congress may be something since most of them are opposed to him in the first place, but THEY are the ones who approve budgets.

Trumps ONLY experience is with PRIVATE COMPANY budgets...nothing ever anything but.

Let me also remind you that NOT ONE economist disagrees that his proposals will INCREASE OUR NATIONAL DEBT SUBSTANTIALLY.

A deal would be great but you folks are all over Obama for doing exactly that with Iran.

Trump is different....his OWN PERSONAL fortune is tied up...NOT THE NATIONAL INTEREST IN HIS DEALS....

A few quotes from a recently printed and well reported article in Newsweek...

"A close examination by Newsweek of the Trump Organization, including confidential interviews with business executives and some of its international partners, reveals an enterprise with deep ties to global financiers, foreign politicians and even criminals, although there is no evidence the Trump Organization has engaged in any illegal activities. It also reveals a web of contractual entanglements that could not be just canceled. If Trump moves into the White House and his family continues to receive any benefit from the company, during or even after his presidency, almost every foreign policy decision he makes will raise serious conflicts of interest and ethical quagmires."

"The Trump Organization is not like the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, the charitable enterprise that has been the subject of intense scrutiny about possible conflicts for the Democratic presidential nominee. There are allegations that Hillary Clinton bestowed benefits on contributors to the foundation in some sort of “pay to play” scandal when she was secretary of state, but that makes no sense because there was no “pay.” Money contributed to the foundation was publicly disclosed and went to charitable efforts, such as fighting neglected tropical diseases that infect as many as a billion people. The financials audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the global independent accounting company, and the foundation’s tax filings show that about 90 percent of the money it raised went to its charitable programs. (Trump surrogates have falsely claimed that it was only 10 percent and that the rest was used as a Clinton “slush fund.”) No member of the Clinton family received any cash from the foundation, nor did it finance any political campaigns. In fact, like the Clintons, almost the entire board of directors works for free.

"On the other hand, the Trump family rakes in untold millions of dollars from the Trump Organization every year. Much of that comes from deals with international financiers and developers, many of whom have been tied to controversial and even illegal activities. None of Trump’s overseas contractual business relationships examined by Newsweek were revealed in his campaign’s financial filings with the Federal Election Commission, nor was the amount paid to him by his foreign partners. (The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for the names of all foreign entities in partnership or contractually tied to the Trump Organization.) Trump’s financial filings also indicate he is a shareholder or beneficiary of several overseas entities, including Excel Venture LLC in the French West Indies and Caribusiness Investments SRL, based in the Dominican Republic, one of the world’s tax havens.

"Trump’s business conflicts with America’s national security interests cannot be resolved so long as he or any member of his family maintains a financial interest in the Trump Organization during a Trump administration, or even if they leave open the possibility of returning to the company later. The Trump Organization cannot be placed into a blind trust, an arrangement used by many politicians to prevent them from knowing their financial interests; the Trump family is already aware of who their overseas partners are and could easily learn about any new ones. Many foreign governments retain close ties to and even control of companies in their country, including several that already are partnered with the Trump Organization. Any government wanting to seek future influence with President Trump could do so by arranging for a partnership with the Trump Organization, feeding money directly to the family or simply stashing it away inside the company for their use once Trump is out of the White House. This is why, without a permanent departure of the entire Trump family from their company, the prospect of legal bribery by overseas powers seeking to influence American foreign policy, either through existing or future partnerships, will remain a reality throughout a Trump presidency."

"This relationship puts Trump’s foreign policies in conflict with his financial interests. Earlier this year, he said South Korea should plan to shoulder its own military defense rather than relying on the United States, including the development of nuclear weapons. (He later denied making that statement, which was video-recorded.) One of the primary South Korean companies involved in nuclear energy, a key component in weapons development, is Trump’s partner—Daewoo Engineering and Construction. It would potentially get an economic windfall if the United States adopted policies advocated by Trump."[/COLOR

How the Trump Organization's Foreign Business Ties Could Upend U.S. National Security

I do not consider NEWSWEEK, known for its investigative journalism a "left wing rag",

I further ask you to read this...it goes in to detail on Turkey, Iran and Pakistan and how he can make money if you is able to change US policy and in some cases it will only help terrorism and lessen world peace.

It is up to you...it is all part of an elaborate con job

OK, electing O proved we TRIED...it didn't work out, it ISN'T working out...so lets go back to the days that DID work...the 40s and 50s.

1. RE: NATIONAL DEBT
Our government has been very effective at controlling the information WE have. I think many living here in SENIOR DISNEYLAND will be shocked to discover that SOCIAL SECURITY holds 42% of the National Debt. In plain english you had no choice but to trust government with your forced TAX they call social security AND THEY SPENT YOUR MONEY. They did not ask you. Perhaps, more frustrating they did not tell you.
2. RE: TERRORISM
It is quite clear that KUMBAYAH has not and will not work.
The alternative would be a police state where the police can do random paperwork checks. We lived in NY when all sorts of crime was in the streets. Guliani came to power and they had stop and frisk. Crime of all kinds went way down. It has been proposed again AND AGAIN THE CHARGE IS RACIAL PROFILING. Are we prepared to fight terrorism? Are we prepared to fight illegal immigration?
The price is a loss of freedom or perhaps, privacy it a better term. It is worth it till YOU get stopped.
3. As to go back to the 40's or 50's
I was born in 1950. As to the 1940's, my father was a forward observer in the Philippines-essentially a spy. My father was one of eighteen in his battalion to survive WWII. RE: 1950's The US was never attacked bombed etc. So we can and did overpower the rest of the world with our intact manufacturing ability. The rest of the world rebuilt with MODERN MACHINERY and we were held back by old UNION contracts drafted when we did not have world competition. Today, Toyota and GM duel for who is the largest automobile producer. In the 1950's GM produced 80% of the cars in the world.

DON'T LOOK BACK-YOU ARE NOT GOING THAT WAY.

Guest 09-26-2016 12:53 PM

By he way, you wonder why Trump backed off a bit on his ban Muslim thing ? Read that posted Newsweek article....pressure on his Mid East business interests made him bac off.

You have to trust Trump will do the right thing and not be influenced by outsiders. His promise from day 1 was that he is worth 10 billion dollars and cannot be bought.

Read his life story. Just read and listen to this campaign.

His life and campaign has been and is one big lie.

Trust Trump.....that is a huge mistake.

9 out of 10 residents of The Villages support Trump. Enough to void any democrat vote in this district.

Will not balance out, but I assure you that only those who are party only people will vote as you say.

The disgust over Trump crosses party lines

That doesn't seem to coincide with the ratio of Republicans to Democrats. Not including Independents. But whatever makes you feel good.

You say so, but you didn't give the corrected ratio. I am just going by the amount of registered voters. No, I did not count the Independents. However, the majority of Independents are supporting Trump according to the polls. Of course, there lies the kicker. Polls can change. But, the ratio of Democrats to Republican voters in the Villages is slightly more than one in ten, but not much more. Any way you look at it, Republicans overwhelm Democrats here in voting power.

Don't worry Chi, you can vote once here and mail in your vote to Chicago since there is no voter ID requirement. At least you will be in the majority in Chi-Town,,,,ha,ha.

OK here's my source: Either way Democrats are definitely in the minority but regional imbalances are common. No big deal. Never thought about it in Chicago.

Makeup of voters in The Villages, which encompasses parts of Lake, Sumter and Marion counties.

•Republicans: 56%

•Democrats: 23%

•No party affiliation: 17%

•Other: 4%

Good job.

Will not be much response.

Ever notice, when you post facts. Links, validation D you hear nothing.

If there is not a daily cartoon if Clinton or a video of someone making fun, these people are lost.

You start with facts and issues, they are silent

So, I guess you got your figures from a different website. I have no way of determining which is more accurate. I find it interesting that you had to run out and find a different number, even though it is still lower than wale sh... for democrat registration.

Guest 09-27-2016 03:45 AM

The Villages Democrat Club claims that there is 30% Dem voter registration, ha, ha. Wishful thinking.
