Now you will know what it' like to not have enough time in the day to do all that you need to get done. Ask anyone.

Enjoy every minute of it:pepper2::pepper2::pepper2::pepper2::pepper2:

You are exactly right, after 3 years of retirement I am finding myself so busy that I do not know how I found the time to work for 48 years!!

My friend has a retirement countdown clock in his office. He can retire the day before I can. Whenever I visit his office he points to the clock and says " Add 1 day to that clock and that's how many days you have left".

Hey, LT, Congratulations!!! You will love retirement. After 48 years of working straight, I never regretted the day I retired. Although you will feel a great deal of relief, you will never be busier. Enjoy and I hope to see you again soon in TV..... Good luck!!

Retired

These days, a lot of us are in the position of not knowing when we are retiring. With layoffs all around my office and our industry in turmoil, I know I could be shown the door when I get back to work Monday.

On the other hand, I'm ready financially, though at a reduced level from what was planned. And, knowing the work it will take to put my house in shape to sell, my timeline for turning from wannabe to TV resident is anywhere from 6 months to the 3 years I'd like to have left.

Oh, well, life is full of surprises. Why should my career be different?

bestmickey 05-02-2009 02:34 PM

CONGRATS LT! :pepper2: Hope you are able to get to TV quickly.

JeanneBeannie 05-02-2009 02:45 PM

Congratulations!!! Thirty days will fly by so fast!!! :crap2:
