Would that be akin to the Bill Cosby "but I am blind" defense? |
There are going to be a lot of people eating crow and a good number of them are Republicans. If Trump is smart he will focus on positive results

Ok Obama can pardon anyone before being indited or charged with crime.
But in so doing he is admitting their guilt??????? But it may be considered an abuse of power in this case He is extremely concerned about his legacy, spoke about his legacy several times stumping for the Crook. Lynch will be fired day one Giuliani will be appointed. Comey worked for him many years ago, he will find why he did what he did, if he pursues the crimes he stays. If not Trump will fire him. I think there will be dozens implicated including Hilly house keeper printing classified info . |
Obama can't pardon someone until there are charges against them. He has until Jan 20 to finish up his pardons. I wonder if he will NOW pressure the FBI into charging Hillary so that he can hurry and pardon her. If he can avoid having her trial, he may be able to keep himself out of the story. After all, she was working for him and how much does he expect us to believe that he did not know?

But if you research that a bit, I think you'll see he can. It was also discussed on cable News. "President Obama has the power to pardon Clinton on the simple prospect she could be charged with a crime or handed an indictment by the FBI. Because the FBI announced in July that they were not going to indict Clinton, there was no need for a pardon to be on the table. That has since changed. Which brings us to the question: Will President Obama pardon Hillary Clinton before he leaves office? As my colleague Ed Morrissey points out, President Gerald Ford pardoned President Richard Nixon after he resigned from the Oval Office and before he was ever officially charged with a crime. At the time of the pardon, nearly everyone knew and admitted Nixon was guilty. Ford was criticized for clearing him. " |
