I just heard Eric Bowling from Fox news, whom I consider one of the bigger blowhards on cable news, cheering on a trillion dollar infrastructure spending bill now that Trump is President elect. After crucifying Obama everyday for 8 years for deficiet spending, I cannot remember such a hypocrite. To those of you who stood in line to buy his book recently I'm worried for you. There are riots in some of our cities while stock market is on a tear because of the antisipated government spending frenzy. Only in America

LitespeedRider 11-11-2016 12:52 PM

You really have no grasp on reality do you? But, if you are in the markets I suggest taking stock in companies than make personal arms - and caskets.

The Market is on a 'tear' as you put it, because of the perception that Trump will eliminate ObamaCare and the onerous regulations place on businesses by the Obama administration.

The stock market was booming yesterday. I haven't checked it today. Yesterday was a record. I haven't had the news on today. Been working outside

janmcn 11-11-2016 05:44 PM

The stock market is on a tear, the bond market has lost one trillion dollars since Trump got elected.

The bond market has suffered losses because of the perceived strength and growth of the economy under a Trump administration. Interest rates rise in a strong economy and bond prices fall. That's the way it's ALWAYS been.

So 1 trillion in extra government spending will not have impact on stock market? Sorry I don't care if you teach economics government spending has been driving stock market for 8 years and will continue to until rest of world wakes up.

Why don't you enlighten the rest of us with limited intellect and share with us your current stock positions and other investment holdings, so that we might benefit from your vast market knowledge that takes advantage of the trillions of dollars in government spending?

No I'm not a very shrewd investor , I use target date funds. I do know the difference between earned and unearned income though and unearned income has been booming because of deficiet spending and government lending money at near zero percent for 8 plus years. You apparently don't agree with that, and that is ok. We just disagree.

Anticipated. It is spelled anticipated. AND I don't want to be "brought together" with your kind of America. I am a smart blue collar person who has worked hard all my life. I like Fox News. I don't think you are worried for me, or us. I think you are a bitter loser. You cannot underestimate how "you people" underestimated us.

Maybe 8 years if he turns it around

then Don Jr for 8

Demographics indicate the country and our culture are gone in 30 years...maybe less...unless we do something about the Hispanic invasion and their "illegal" anchor babies.

He plays fast and loose with the rules, like all developers. He'll push the limits if the repubs let him, then he'll go too far. I don't think he'll last his term. I do hope his agenda with the illegals and EPA pass muster but cutting taxes hoping for trickle down just ain't gonna work. As far as social security, the repubs ultimate agenda is elimination. Do you want that ?

You are just full of B.S. aren't you? Please supply us with some quotes from all those Repubicans that wish to "eliminate" Social Security. Should I allow you a few days, weeks, months to research to see if you can find a hint of a quote?

Trump will have experts advising him. You all just can't seem to get it, he won the Primaries and he won the General. You said he couldn't do it. You should be going to church to praise God for delivering us from evil (Hillary). No one said Trump was perfect, but compared to what the left has had to offer in the last 40 years, he looks pretty good. Maybe you should take a lesson from him. He was a Democrat and is now a Republican. He learned something, so maybe you should also.

Not BS
First they want to cut benefits, raise the retirement age but the ultimate goal is to eliminate it altogether as a federally run program.
Trump has changed political affiliation 5 times simply to benefit his wallet. He's a republican in name only.

Well, for one thing, Ryan is pushing to eliminate Medicare and replace it with private insurance. I have heard him say that AFTER the election.

No, you said that they want to eliminate SS. Get it correct or don't make false statements.

No one said Trump has always been a Republican. Who cares? If he is a RINO then liberals should support him. What's their excuse for preferring a criminal traitor over Trump?

I am for changing SS to a Thrift Savings Plan like the gov offers it's employees and the military. Not only has it proven to work very well, but it would also boost the market, making it more stable. Not that I know anything of the market. I made pretty good money from it, but that was not due to my expertise.

I'm completely against privatizing any part of SS. It has to be one for all and all for one otherwise a lot of people will get screwed which in turn will screw us. People today can barely scrape by let alone save for retirement. It needs to be a taxed based system exclusively with no cap on taxed earnings. If a guy making 40K per year gets SS taken out for the entire year then a guy making 200K shouldn't get a reprieve either. There also needs to be an elimination of SS payments to any individual qualified to receive them with more then 200,000 in gross income. This will benefit all of us.

Amazing. It appears that the only America you want or like is YOUR AMERICA. Anyone who disagrees is a what....?

I might add that the post mentioned Fox only to point out a single person in that network.

While I opposed Trump, I posted here I hope he succeeds.

It appears that many are so "full of themselves" with this election, they throw facts, history away, and appear to think compassion is a weakness.

The only smug posts on here appear to come from those who supported Trump, not from the liberals. They continue to post concern, and frankly......what has really honestly knocked me off my game is high schools where kids are marking water coolers BLACKS or WHITES only. The attacks on folks of color OR just the appearance of being Muslim which began November 9, and are openly being tied to this election. If you are so naive a source to think there would not be violence in the street had Trump lost. You truely are not paying attention.

We better suck it up....get together....it will not matter if it is YOUR AMERICA, which you feel is superior or not, the divides of hate will eat up and destroy ALL of America, and guess what....America has more than one color, more than one religion.

I hope Trump succeeds with the economy, terrorism, trade, etc., but reading you folks on here...well, those issues do not seem to matter. What does matter to you, is to insure that YOU are in charges and everyone not like you in any way knows it.

I am not a fan of pigeon holing people, shutting people down because they are not like me...you people really seem to think that you, your ilk have all the answers.

I am a conservative Republican, so spare me the cute labels for liberals. I just happen to believe in America before the GOP, and do not look down on anyone because of how the look or what religion, etc.

The smug superiority on this forum is ambarassing
