In my opinion, Don is mentally disturbed. That said, I also believe that if you can't ignore him, then you have the option of logging out. He does not reflect the general views of The Villages residents. It is up to the moderators to censure him if they wish. If it was up to me, I would tell anyone that does not agree with or like what he says, to ignore him. On the other hand, how is he to wake up and realize that he is alone in his view, if he is shut out from the conversation?

On television, if I do not like something I just turn the channel to another network. Hint, hint..........

Yes, a movement to "ban" a poster, no matter how disagreeable, has a certain fascist aromatic to it. The founders gave us free speech so use it to argue and refute. There should be no safe spaces on Political Talk ... we already have the "guest" feature to spare certain people undefined trauma etc.

In sum, grow up and deal with it openly.

So far, from what I've read, Don has made multiple points in multiple posts, yet Jim, Chi and ST have not actually refuted any of his points in a coherent, reasoned manner. They simply shout, yell, threaten banishment and otherwise get "offended."

Thus, since the purpose of this board is political talk, I think it's time for Jim to make a reasoned refutation of Don's points if he can.
