any chance that r and d can meet in the middle
And be Americans FIRST!
|
In my view the right has not moved but the left has moved so far left that the middle is no longer palatable to most Americans. And we know despite the recent elections the left isn't going to look inward to their mistakes and correct them . Look at who continues to head their party. You speak of America First but the left desires globalization meaning a new world order, ergo open borders and their social justice agenda, push for neutral gender, anti-cop anti-religion, anti-capitalism, etc
I opine others can decide Personal Best Regards: |

Trump is in the Middle, so yes the "R's" can move. Now, it will be up to the libtards that used to be called Democrats to move from the far left toward the middle. But, that is a long journey and not very likely.
|
We do it in our every day lives.
TV lifestyle. In church. Playing golf/other games. House parties. Concerts. Major sporting events. Et al. What do all these have in common? There is no requirement to need, choose, discuss whether one is an R or a D. Somehow or other, when the big R or D is flashing some folks have the insatiable need to change who they are. They become pushy, shoving, nasty, disrespectful, antagonistical, etc., my way or the highway, non-thinking party only puppets/parrots. The two party system has become a social pi$$ing contest of destructive proportion. The human-ness and American-ness has all but gone out of the system. |

What does the right represented today? Hatred, bigotry, racism, homophobic and lack of tolerance. How can their be a middle ground.

You made a post a few days ago about how you are so noble, yet you try to ascribe every negative trait to those to the left of you. You have become a laughingstock to anyone with intelligence...and a desire to seek the truth. |

One only has to look at the usual suspects posting here, to quickly glean that they loathe anyone..."who isn't white and on the far right." :ohdear: |

Of course some of us will and others, like this poster will never bend. He, unfortunately believe the nasty rhetoric that is commonly thrown about these days. My only hope is that once Trump's programs are put into place the things begin getting better in this country that some of those on the left will begin to understand. |

Amazing how almost every thread very quickly resolves, evolves, devolves into a partisan/personal pi$$ing contest having nothing to do with the subject of the thread.
Hence no discussion but more the school yard gutter banter and always with a partisan scheme/rant! |

I desire opposing input because I do not need to be right but I do seek truth and if someone has an opposing view that invalidates mine I'll include it in my assessment. However you never seem to offer positive contributions but only baseless accusations I would never mock or laugh at any one, and may I offer a bit of advice of why? Some of the most influential and inventive and creative people were mocked and became laughingstocks such as Seward folly (ie the purchase of Alaska) Fred Smith ( Federal Express) Wright Brothers (well you know) and who would honestly buy a $.15 hamburg (Mc Donalds) or pay for bottle water....should I go on Personal Best Regards: |
Opposing views are fine.
Unfortunately there are many who view any disagreement with their position automatically unacceptable. They tend to mitigate their credibility as it seems the only way they are capable of communicating is being disrespectful, using course language, demeaning ANY opposition and the usual......rarely on the subject of any discussion that does not fit their purpose. What this forum needs is to have all the regular TOTV identities and the ignore button. |

To get back to the subject, it is possible for the D and the R parties to agree. The problem is that there is no longer a Democrat party. It has been overrun by liberals and socialists, that make it very hard to meet on common ground. And yes, the Republican party has become a party of mostly RINOs that use the word conservative incorrectly to describe themselves. Most of the division between the parties could be attributed to Obama being a very weak party leader, thus having A...holes like Reid and Pelosi running amok. |

Other than maybe Rockyrd, I provide more links to legitimate sites to back up my statements...than any single one of you on the right. You do nothing but bloviate your opinions or plagiarize from other sources (without linking the citation)...for the sole purpose of trying to convince others you know what you're talking about. I'm not sure what kind of self-hypnosis you've performed, but you have this wildly inflated, and unearned, ego whereby you've falsely convinced yourself that you always "take the high road"...which is what you stated in a recent post. And then I've seen it all, when you try to compare yourself to actual people who have accomplished something...and didn't need to take credit from someone else. :ohdear: But hey, at least you're not totally useless...as you've given me quite the belly laugh. :D Thanks for that. |
To answer the original post, yes r and d will meet in the middle. Unfortunately they will agree to continue spending our children's futures so no tough decisions have to be made. All these replies are just smoke so real issues don't need to be discussed. We are an exceptional people, are we not?

I only used this post as an example. There is a post from the someone on the right about how the left is all women and minorities that want everything done for them. That needs to stop as well. We need to stop using the word libtards and and calling each other racists etc and start realizing that we all want the same things and simply disagree on the best methods of attaining them. |
Here's a speech given in congress the day after the Dallas police ambush. We should all read this and heed what it says.

No...we DON'T all want the same things. Women and minorities want to be "kept", to be taken care of. Look at welfare...just about all women. Go to the welfare office...all women...women of color mostly...or crazy white girls mixed up with blacks/hispanics. They want SOMEONE ELSE to "take care of everything". How else can you explain the D party and it's liberal/socialist ways? Everything goes in a big pot to be shared equally...BUT...white men are to be the designated "providers" of what goes into the big pot. There are almost more of you than us, the providers...what will you do where there is no more? You've bred us out and now there are no more "providers" to provide for you? Quote:
Go to a "minority neighborhood", Hispanic, black, Asian, it doesn't matter...you'll be treated like sh!t, no matter your race. Asian in a black neighborhood, Hispanic, white, it doesn't matter...you WON'T feel safe and secure. Whites, Asians, blacks, going into a Hispanic neighborhood will again NOT feel safe and secure. But ANY race can feel safe and secure in the white part of town. Any "harassment" will come from security wondering what you're doing there if you LOOK out of place...and skin color won't do that. How you dress, how you walk, how you act...THAT will get you noticed. WHY? Why is it so different in "white places" compared to Black/Hispanic places? Hint: It's them. They really ARE different than us. It's not just a COMPLETELY different physical appearance. We're different inside too. |
Sadly this crap is the problem

I for one have given up much hope. People in the villages are wiser, more prosperous and I almost said more mature BUT IT DOES NOT REPLY TO MANY OF THE POSTERS ON THIS THREAD. Not only have the democrats moved to the far left but the republicans have moved to the far right. I voted for TRUMP. I simply could not vote for Hillary. I did not vote for OBAMA but I WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD TO ADMIT I WAS WRONG AND THAT OBAMA BEING OUR FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT BROUGHT OUR COUNTRY TOGETHER. Sadly, While I took the time to READ before casting my vote, OBAMA clearly was FAR WORSE than even I realized. Obama hitched his wagon to the WORST of America. Obama fanned ashes of racism into forest fires. Obama wiped his shoes on my life view-you work hard your work smart and what you earn is yours. I've been poor. I am now well off or at least I have far more than I ever dreamed of having. I HOPE THAT TRUMP OUR NEW PRESIDENT WHETHER YOU VOTED FOR HIM OR NOT, WILL CAUSE THOSE WHO CHOSE NOT TO VOTE FOR HIM TO SAY HEY YOU KNOW I WAS WRONG NOT TO VOTE REPUBLICAN-THAT WILL BE GREAT FOR AMERICA. I HOPE I WILL NOT REGRET MY CHOICE. In reply to TRUMP moving toward the MIDDLE. REMINDER TRUMP HAS NOT YET ENTERED OFFICE so all we have is TALK. Trump has come out in support of FORCING insurance to cover people with pre-existing conditions. Trump has come out in support of people with kids. Trump has come out in support of charter schools. If, you are not aware the school in the villages is a charter school. My main criticism of TRUMP is that he has come out in support of the second amendment the right to bear arms, which I agree with BUT, the republican party has not even mentioned THE FIRST AMENDMENT which prevents a NATIONAL RELIGION. TRANSLATION FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DO NOT UNDERSTAND you have no right to ram your religion down the throat of others. I believe in PRO CHOICE. It is the right to chose NOT FORCED ABORTION. |
Your posts are always the same trash

It is a shocking and yet amusing look at what YOU STAND FOR. Another book you SHOULD but will not read is Nelson Mandella, "A long Road to Freedom." RE: Different inside DEAR BIGGOT BAD NEWS FOR YOU-if you have had any medical procedure likely some JEW is either working on you or developed what saved your WORTHLESS LIFE. Oh and if you have received BLOOD you are likely already part black, Hispanic perhaps a bit Oriental. Oh and should you or one of your loved ones IF YOU HAVE ANY, need an organ transplant be sure to insist WHITE ONLY. |

How do you compromise when one side (reps) wants to end Medicare, privatize social security and the VA and the other side (dems) want to keep these programs as is? Republicans have been trying to roll back FDR's New Deal for 80 years, in the case of Social Security, and now they see their chance with Trump in the White House. Where is the common ground? |

Mandela? He literally DESTROYED S Africa. What do you think S Africa is like today? It's a cesspool, a murder capital, they "hunt" whites for fun, pass laws against and harass them. It's a sh!thole...just like all the other "black run" places. Haiti, Somalia, Jamaica...all BLACK run crap. They can't run ANYWHERE successfully. Get a clue... https://www.google.com/search?q=what...utf-8&oe=utf-8 A few things I found: "But still, unemployment, poverty, AIDS, murder, corruption and crime all have surged, and South Africa now regularly tops the charts worldwide in terms of rape and murder as average life expectancy has plummeted. Also troubling to broad swaths of the public, as well as many analysts and economists, is the direction government and society itself are heading." "Officially, about 25 percent of South Africans are out of work, double that from 1994. If one counts “discouraged workers,” the real rate is closer to 40 percent." "However, there is little doubt that the nation has a massive and chronic unemployment problem affecting all races, and especially blacks, despite intensifying “black economic empowerment” schemes." “Average incomes of South African men and women fell by about 40 percent between 1995 and 2000, and … there has been little improvement since then,” concluded the NBER study, released in 2005. “The brunt of the income decline appears to have been shouldered by the young and the non-white.” “South Africans are worse off than they were before the end of apartheid, at least as measured by real incomes,” the researchers argued at the time, noting the poor were hit hardest." "Meanwhile, statistics cited by other experts suggest that by 2006, the number of people in South Africa living on less than $1 per day had doubled over the 1994 rate." "And in 2008, the United Nations reported that a quarter of South Africans were still living on less than $1.25 a day, with more than 40 percent living on less than $2 per day." "Ironically, perhaps, considering the oversized influence of communism on the political scene, South Africa now has among the most unequal distributions of wealth in the world." "The U.N. Human Development Index, or HDI, reveals a bleak picture in terms of where South Africa has gone over the last two decades. Prior to 1994, despite apartheid, South Africa’s HDI ranking was steadily climbing upward, and the nation was ranked well above most of Asia and the Arab world, and far ahead the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa. It was also higher than the world average." "Part of the spectacular decline is attributed to the fact that South Africa in 2013 suffers from among the worst rates of AIDS on earth, too; often being dubbed the “AIDS capital of the world.”" "One of the worst plagues to wreak havoc in 2013 South Africa is violent crime, with the nation now widely lambasted as the rape and murder capital of the world." "“The police are inefficient, they are corrupt, they run the roadblocks that are kind of the modern version of highway robbery – collecting what I call ‘formal’ and ‘informal’ fines,” he added. Official estimates suggest that between 15,000 and 20,000 people are murdered each year in South Africa, about 50 murders per day, or around 31 per 100,000 individuals over the year. In reality, international organizations such as Interpol have argued that the real murder rates are likely twice as high as South African authorities admit." "A study conducted by the Medical Research Council, for example, found that more than one in four South African men – 27.5 percent – admitted to having raped at least one woman or girl. Almost half of those said they had raped multiple victims." "While blacks suffered under official racism during apartheid, the reverse is now true, many experts and Afrikaners say, with whites and mixed-race individuals being targeted by race-based so-called “black empowerment” legislation in everything from employment and business to welfare and charity. Think “affirmative action” for the majority – on steroids. Some 90 percent or more of government workers are black, well above their ratio in the population, and virtually all of the welfare and housing grants go to blacks as well, critics point out. So, the racial quotas go only in one direction." Coming to America... |
