Publix covering Enquirer with Trump on cover
I was in Publix last night and noticed the Enquirers were covered. So I looked at the front page and noticed Trump was on the cover. Today I saw on Facebook that Publix ordered all their stores to cover the Enquirers with any Trump stories on the cover.
I know many Villagers supported Trump and would not like this. I was so mad. I think Publix should be boycotted in The Villages. Hope this news gets around. |

Read about it last night, and this is HIS newspaper of choice. |

The very cozy relationship between Donald Trump and the National Enquirer - The Washington Post “Our readers have a great affection and fondness for Donald Trump,” editor-in-chief Dylan Howard said in a recent interview. “It’s a readership that is disenfranchised. They do not like the political establishment. They see Donald Trump as someone who will champion their cause, just like the National Enquirer has championed their cause for many decades.” That affection for Trump from a readership that has long accepted the Enquirer’s blurring of truth and fiction—and never tired of its stories of get-rich-quick schemes—is a mutual one. " The National Enquirer and Donald Trump: A Tabloid Love Affair Donald J Trump speaking of National Enquirer "This was a magazine that, in many respects, is respected. They got OJ [Simpson], they got [John] Edwards, they got this. If that was The New York Times, they would have gotten Pultizers for their reporting. I’ve always said, ‘Why didn’t the National Enquirer get the Pulitzer surprise for Edwards? And OJ Simpson? And all of these things?”" Lots more out there..just running late. Up until right befor the election...one single newspaper endorsed him...guess who. |

Poor RubiTheCon is having a bad day. :D First he makes a fool of himself in thinking that Florida's 'Move Over' law has anything to do with 'Staying Right Except to Pass'...and now this. As I said in another post, he tries so hard to stand on his soapbox and sound like he knows what he's talking about, but then those who actually have facts and link to those facts....results in showing everyone how ignorant he really is. :ohdear: :boom: |
Big deal.

I bought a copy of The Enquirer with Trump's picture. I was running low on toilet paper. :1rotfl: :MOJE_whot: :clap2:

There might be a shot at being accepted but you have to stop wearing those white slip on shoes. Rubicon is a successful man, with a wonderful family and excellent life record and dresses conservatively and in good taste. He is bright and articulate and has a moral compass. Very hard to beat. |

Then again, given your own massive character defects...no wonder you look up to him. |

Publix realizes that there are many " Snowflakes " visiting their Na-Na`s this time of year and they understand that these Snowflakes have already been stressed out enough by the results of the election .

Either he ha moved extreme right or I screwed up, but he is so alt right extreme, that moral compass has escaped because that is what extremism is all about. When you use knowingly fake news...when you plagarize..when you express displeasure with a President because of his skin color...when your political discussion (and I can recall wanting to read his posts years ago) is so absolute narrow as to be 100% predictable to be hate speak about either Obama, Clinton, or anyone even nearing the left, then you know you are lost. I don't think he really believes in Trump. I DO believe he has personal values, and that is why he cannot support such an liar if epic proportions. |

Publix is not a gov run business (yet) so what they do, sell or display is totally up to them. If one does not wish to do business with them, there are other places to shop. If liberals wish to be petulant about being losers, that is their right as American citizens or illegal aliens, which ever applies.

Your comment is rediculous

I would expect TRUMP with so many news sources, has people to highlight things he might be interested in. If, nothing else, the enquirer is a more reliable news source then say-your posts. |

No problem.. While I was waiting in line, I just moved them all to the front of the cover and even placed a few in front of the other magazines. Problem solved. I'm sure that others on here will do the same. I find it pretty funny that anyone actually complained about their President being on the front page of a paper/magazine, etc. Childish display of petulance, not uncommon since Obama has been in a position of influence.

“The National Enquirer receives the most customer complaints about front page content, so they were added to the list of magazines required to be covered, just last week.” Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk |

2. Facts-my wife was just at the PUBLIX at Traverse Center-Brownwood and there are no copies of the Enquirer on the racks. I DO NOT KNOW-perhaps this thread has caused people to buy it. Perhaps, either PRO or ANTI TRUMPS decided to buy them all. OR, perhaps since it is so late in the month they simply have all sold out. |
