Yeah...used to be a Fox junkie, but in recent years hers was the only show on there to watch.

Fox is NOT where you go for "balance" at all, but I think she tried to present both sides, which Fox has put to a complete stop.

PS..I posted this about 45 minutes ago, and feel compelled to add that my comments relative to the "balance" of Fox. My comments are not aimed at NEWS SHOWS, but the commentary shows. While some delight in attacking all MSM, I do not share that view. News is news. We share a responsibity to enrich our understanding in a way we choose. I do not believe news broadcasts have any responsibility except to report honestly, I think they all do. Fox News is great, as are the others. My comments did not refer to broadcast of news.

Those who simply carp on MSM do themselves and people who hear them a disservice, and with such a generalization actually sell themselves short.

None of my business here since the question was asked of CHI, but also asking Chi to comment on the link below, and specifically ask if the "redlining" still actually exists..obviously not openly.

MK began the Election cycle pounding on HRC night after night . However as it became contract renewal negotiating time she began to pander to the Left in search of a new deal in the $20MM range .

For those Accounting and Finance experts on this site . One single " M " is the accepted nomenclature for thousands and " MM " means 6 zeros hence $20MM means $20 Million . In the popular press and print media " M" means Millions .

Now for those insightful Trump income tax lessons from our fellow Posters / experts on this site .

To answer you and GG......I wish I had the answer. I grew up in
Chicago, attended a parochial school, and enjoyed the benefits of living in a big city. Of course, there were certain neighborhoods that were taboo....drugs, crime, violence, etc. just like today. But that wasn't headline news back then. And the weapons were cruder and less deadly. The police turned their backs on gang crime. And just like today it was a safe and clean city with the aforementioned exceptions.

Redlinig was common but less so today. As I look back on what I just wrote it disturbs me that so many of the conditions back then still exist today. I wish there were an answer.

I agree. Never did like her. But, every network needs its token liberal. She had a lot in common with obie. They both like to star at their mirror reflection.

I have the answer...well the reason...minorities.

You went to a "white" private school...and yet you tout the benefits of diversity? You have NO IDEA what it's like to go to a school with a large minority population. How girls are taunted if they won't "hook up" with a black guy. They're called racist, harassed, picked on, ganged up on. The black girls like it when a white girl gets abused by the "brotha's". It's their way of "getting even" with whites.

And WHO lived in those "forbidden" neighborhoods then..and now? "Those neighborhoods" are growing, they're expanding, more and more is unsafe. Those neighborhoods are violent and dangerous BECAUSE they're filled with black people...plain and simple...lots of black people = violent and dangerous...always.

Redlining is illegal today...Clinton signed the law. So now the banks MUST loan money in neighborhoods where the real property value is $0. Property on MLK Blvd isn't worth $0.02. But the banks MUST make the loan even though it'll never get paid.

Of course the conditions still exhist today...THEY still exist today. It's THEM...THEY are the problem. You want to make a place better? Get rid of the minorities. There is your answer. You make Chicago better by removing the minorities and moving in white people. Why is this so difficult for you?

No minorities = a wonderful place to live.

Lots of minorities = a sh!tty place to live.

Those simple formulas work EVERY time. Disprove it if you don't believe me.

THAT is your answer.

jimbo2012 01-04-2017 07:22 AM

I watch more Fox than others, but I flip thru all of them bias or not.

But Twitter too.

She will now speak her mind on Trump I'm sure, nice part is she'll be on daytime, I'm not watching then.

Also she said, it's to spend more time with her kids.

Really then why work daytime?

It's $$ or she was fired

MDLNB 01-04-2017 07:49 AM

No loss to FOX. I never watched her because she had a typical liberal snarkiness about her.

Can't argue with that, other than it being a generalized opinion.

Buffalo Jim 01-04-2017 09:46 AM

MK became quite full of herself . It was easy to see how she was working the election along with her pending contract renewal to enable her to cash in once again .

Prediction is that she goes far Left on NBC but eventually her ratings cause her to lose her impact .

I hope that she takes her favorite " opposition " pundits with her such as the 12 year old Jonathan Flowers and the shrill voiced
overly excited nasal voiced young woman . So painful to listen to i would always turn the channel or mute the sound .

MDLNB 01-04-2017 09:59 AM

Mk will fail at NBC and then claim that she wants to spend more time with her family and disappear. She couldn't hack it at FOX. She lost her pi$$ing contest with Trump and got upset when her boss backed Trump instead of her.

Yes. Just like there are hardly any Democrats left. Liberals are socialists and just recently started admitting it, with the fake campaign of Bernie.

This is great. Tucker Carlson is the replacement for Megan Kelly.

She`s going head to head with 60 Minutes . Good luck with that . Also an afternoon spot on NBC --- biggie .

rubicon 01-05-2017 07:51 PM

Megan Kelly lost my respect when she launched her attack on Donald Trump with her first question to him at fox's first primary. I am not interested in arguing one way or another about the content. My objection was that she used that approach to try and show she was a tough journalist............... I would rather she had taken the high road and asked Trump something more relevant to policy and how as president he would tackle the situation.

It was clear from that first question that she was more interested in becoming national news diva than being a truth teller.

I strongly suspected when the feud between Trump and Kelly erupted that she was going to leave Fox and I also suspected it would be NBC.

Tucker Carlson is a good choice, a very savvy guy.

As to news itself print, digital video its all so partisan, so tabloid, so shallow that most times I turn to National Geographic or History

So why are they paying her some $20 Million per year ?

Well it is my understanding that she is getting less than $20 million a year. However, the real issue is what do they have in mind for her. Also, they need to slot her in so as not to upset the other insecure divas at NBC. And to determine how the public takes to this move as 1) carrying Fox viewers to NBC 2) attracting new viewership.

Megan Kelly is indeed stunning and her stint as an attorney has prepared her well for a career in journalism, etc. But then there are so many beautiful people on news channels.

I do not much care for the alphabet stations and seldom watched Kelly on Fox so her move is a non factor for me. I do wish her well

The truth of the matter is, Kelly is a very intelligent person who is willing to look around, view what's really happening... and think on her own.

Which is anathema to Faux News...and most of its viewers.

She was able to break the bonds of the black hole Faux has created with hate and lies...and now most of the brainwashed Faux watchers are trying to say she was 'no big deal.'

These of course, are the same majority of those who were the ones touting how 'beautiful and smart' she was...not so long ago.

Yeah, the average neanderthal male Faux News viewer has to always throw in their opinion of the looks/appearance of the people they like/dislike...because they really are that ignorant, sexist and shallow.

If they weren't...they wouldn't worship Faux News in the first place.

Once again proving the studies, showing that exclusive Faux News watchers are more ignorant and less informed of the truth...than those who don't even watch news.

And yet FOX is still the number one cable news network, thanks to the viewership of the left. Half the viewership is of Democrats and Independents. FOX thanks you for making them number one.

You are the prime example of the ignorant Faux News viewer...as you keep lying about this.

Those supposedly 'independent' viewers are 90% right-wing...they just like to think of themselves as 'independent.'

Go look again at the actual numbers of those identifying as Democrats who watch Faux (what 6%-7%?).

Yeah, you're caught lying again.

Sure Can't No Mo, keep telling yourself that. Should I get your blanky and stuffed animal for you? You just can't admit that you are part of the needy losers on the left that continue to make excuses for failure. FOX has been successful and the left can't understand it. Just like Trump won and the left that supported the scumbag loser, Hillary cannot accept it, and keep making excuses and casting blame elsewhere. Keep standing in front of the mirror, even if you have to sneak up on it, and tell your reflection that you are not a loser.
