Did you have a point or even a link that you might have forgotten to add to the thread?

Let's see what the investigation shows.

Trump is not above the law. At least, not yet.

While Lewis certainly has a valid point, without any specific/scientific way to determine how much actual damage Russia's interference did to Hillary's campaign...Trump is sadly the 'legitimate' POTUS under our electoral system.

I want to go on record to prove that not all conservatives are insensitive to your grief. And I want to applaud your gracious acceptance of Donald Trump as your "legitimate" president.

And I am sure that when the left released Trump's illegally obtained tax return and the illegally obtained recording from over a decade ago, that there is no " specific/scientific way to determine how much actual damage" was done to Trump's campaign.

I guess it will have to suffice to say that we have had an unusual election cycle this time.

It's certainly not my personal "grief," it is this great country's loss...that Trump is POTUS.

But hey, talking to someone who hated Hillary more than they love this country and actually makes excuses for a Russian dictator...is pretty much useless anyway.

Truth be told, I'm actually looking forward to the next couple of years watching you and your ilk...try to spin Trump's man-child Tweets and actions. :D

Ah, so I was wrong to presume that you could have a civil discussion without insulting. I have answers to your comment but it is obvious that you are more intent on TROLLING than discussing issues. Have a great day, regardless of your "grief" and misery.

Lewis sounds just like the golfers who insist on playing from the back tees, but can barely get it past the front tees, because then it is "real golf".

Trump tweets so that the biased media in any direction can't tell us "stupid public" what he said. The media is nothing these days but one big gossip wheel. Reminds me of when we used to play a game called Gossip. Someone would start by whispering something in someone's ear, and that person would repeat it whispering to another, and so on around the circle until it reached the last person. It was never the same as what the original was.

Bull.

ALL of his press conferences are recorded/televised so what you're suggesting in that news outlets would change what he actually said, is impossible...and you know it.

The real reason Trump tweets, is so that he doesn't have to answer questions...on his constant lying and embellishments.

No different than a chicken$hit sucker-puncher...that hits and then runs off and hides.

I'm sure sorry for your discomfort, but heck life doesn't always go the way you want it to.
Perhaps you might try a little harder to get over it.
If things don't go the way you want, you don't have to like it,
but just accept it, if you desire personal peace.

LOL...Au contraire. :D

As I've said numerous times, I'm actually looking forward to Chump and his cultists twisting in the wind, trying to explain and spin the man-child's many lies, embellishments, disgusting actions and behavior...that are inevitably to come.

Nice try though.

You know as well as I that everyone enjoys deviating from the context of the statements made by politicians. Isn't it the left that always complains when someone quotes obama saying "you didn't build it, someone else did it." Not an exact quote but you know what I am saying. It happens all the time. And we all know that Hillary said "what difference does it make." Tell me that this quote does not instigate a heated argument.

Trump spent five years trying to delegitimize our current president, sending his detectives to Hawaii and saying they were finding amazing things. There were no detectives.

Guess what Donald, you've got five more years of being called illegitimate, then we'll be even.

janmcn 01-14-2017 02:24 PM

In 1965 when Rep John Lewis was just about killed while crossing the Pettis bridge fighting for voting rights, Trump was in NYC applying for another deferment because of bone spurs in his foot.

Trump tweeted something like Lewis' district was crime-ridden, while just the opposite is true. Lewis represents the Buckhead section of Atlanta, one of the most exclusive sections with very up-scale shopping.

Could this be interpreted as a racist remark by the president-elect? Lewis is black, Atlanta is a predominately black city, so therefore there must be tons of crime.

There sure are a lot of "The View"fans on Political Talk. You can tell who they are by their economy of words when presented their in depth political analysis. analysis like "your a racist" "Trump lost we won" "Trumps four years are a failure" ..but but he hasn't even been sworn in yet. "Well that's just a technicality Whoopie said so."

We are so far past Trump fighting with Rosie on The View. As of Friday, this man will be walking around with the nuclear codes is his pocket. Hopefully he won't get them mixed up with his Twitter-twitchie finger.

Trump needs to step back and take a deep breath. If he had tweeted that 'I'm sorry Rep Lewis feels that way, and I'm looking forward to the senate's investigation into this matter and clearing it up once and for all' it would have been a one day story.

But Trump had to attack the messenger not the message (as usual) denigrating John Lewis, the civil rights icon and 30 year congressman, and his district and his constituents, on MLK week-end, with info that demonstrated he had no idea what he was talking about.

As a result, more and more congress people are lining up to announce they also will not attend Trump's inauguration. Trump is an embarrassment to civilized societies here and around the world.

Trump called John Lewis' GA district a 'hell-hole'. This 'hell hole' contains four colleges and universities, including GA Tech and Emory University.

Points to Ponder

Do the Democrats, especially those who make remarks like Lewis's understand what impact this behavior has on our image around the world? Does that not make us look like hypocrites? We try to tell them that this country's citizens electing our leaders is what freedom is all about, and that they should embrace the same for themselves.

Put your money where your mouth is. Don't do what you accuse Trump and others of doing: Saying one thing and doing another.

Like it or not, Trump won the election. Now, how about giving him a chance to either prove or disprove himself. Obama got two chances. He, too, was ELECTED. I didn't vote for him, but I didn't crawl off into a corner and suck my thumb, either. We, who didn't, have all had to make the best of it and hope for better days in the future.

I have voted since I was old enough and don't care whether you like my choices or not. They have all been mine. I have voted for Democrats, Republicans, and others. Have my choices always been good? No. Have they always been bad? No. I do the best I can based on what I see, not what I have heard from media know-it-alls, and not on what someone tells me that I have seen. Contrary to popular belief among some Democrats, I am educated.

Will Trump ever learn that he's supposed to be setting an example, not entering into Twitter fights...with every single person that criticizes him?

He is the most thin-skinned person I have ever seen and for someone wielding the worlds largest army and nuclear capability...EVERYONE should be concerned.

Had Obama done even 1/10th of lashing out publicly on Twitter that Chump has done before he's even POTUS, he would have been excoriated worse than he was...for simply being black.

Grow up Trump, you're supposed to be a leader...not a 7th grade bully lashing out on the playground.

On the flip side, you sure are giving your cultists plenty of need...to try and constantly defend you. :D

So at least you're adding to the world's entertainment...albeit, in a sad and nationally embarrassing way. :ohdear:

Lewis is being TYPICAL. He backed a loser for some idiotic reason that no one would be able to figure out. And that loser lost the election. Congressional Democrats HATED Hillary when she was a senator. Now, they suddenly back her, knowing she is a felon? Talk about being a radical and partisan biased. Lewis should just keep his mouth shut and try being dignified. He is a racist and his age is slowing down his thinking process. Listening to him was almost painful, waiting for the next word to tumble from his mouth. He may have been well respected in the past, but I am sure he has lost a lot of that respect in the past few years.

Could it be at all possible that you just don't "get it"? After all, he did win using some of these same strategies. Maybe keeping an open mind and listening more, instead of ranting and bullying others, would provide you with a better opportunity to assess a situation rather than just reacting to every detail.

Rep Lewis actually complained that Trump "attacked" him. I am not making this up. Of course, he also used this in his fund raising email. Unbelievable! Can I say that's a pot calling the kettle BLACK or is that considered RACIST? Never mind, because if someone is offended by that, then they grew up coddled.
