Trump orders immigration changes
Trump moves to build border wall, cut sanctuary city funds
"WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump moved aggressively to tighten the nation's immigration controls Wednesday, signing executive actions to jumpstart construction of a U.S.-Mexico border wall and block federal grants from immigrant-protecting "sanctuary cities." "Later in the week, Trump is expected to sign orders restricting the flow of refugees into the United States. His current proposal includes at least a four-month halt on all refugee admissions, as well as a temporary ban on people coming from some Muslim-majority countries, according to a source from a public policy organization that monitors refugee issues. The person was briefed on the details of that proposed action by a government official and outlined the plan to The Associated Press." |
If he doesn't send the ones already here back...it won't matter. They're 1/3 the population.
|
:bigbow: he's doing what he promised.
|
All he actually did was to sign an order dictating that current laws be enforced.

In My View
This nation's border policy and accounting of the whereabouts and control of immigrants has been so lax for so long that no one actually can provide a reasonable estimate of numbers.
let's face it were in a mess. What we can say truthfully at this point is that Trump has given us a start. Where it goes depends on what the authorities discover as they move along. Clearly we want it all to be a successful undertaking. And, we certainly do not want to throw the baby out with the bath water. However an honest person cannot deny that we must regain control of our borders and we must expel criminals. A sidebar: a cartoon depicts a Canadian mounted police and the caption reads: "On the lookout for illegal Americans (Hollywood celebs crossing the border) :) Personal Best Regards: |

It's probably impossible to amend the constitution or repeal and amendment in these days so I would like to see someone bring a cast to the court for proper interpretation. That would go a long way to solving the problem of illegal immigration. I've never seen anything to dispute the 11 million number and counting US born citizens as illegals and saying that they are a majority of people under age seven is still a long way from 110 million people. The number was 11.1 million in 2014. So if you have something that shows a different numb er, I'd like to see it. Additionally, a large percentage of those illegal immigrants are people that came here on a legal ten year visa and simply have not filed the paperwork to renew their stay. The problem with many of them is that the government does not notify them when their visa expires so many just forget. The other issue is that some of them have moved and we don't know where to find them. This really shouldn't be a problem as they almost all have a social security number and file tax returns. What we need is for federal agencies to work together. ICE should be able to give a list of SSNs to the SS administration of people who have over stayed their visa. When SSA receives the tax returns of these people they should be able to report their whereabouts to ICE. That way, ICE can track them down and deal with them appropriately. The federal government is a giant mess and too many regulations prevent agencies from doing their jobs properly. Homeland Security was supposed to solve that problem, but evidently it's not working. Hopefully, with this new administration things will be better. |

I think even the never Trumpers believe that! |

I thought and believed that the ACA would be a disaster, but I hopes that I was wrong. I think that when it comes to the bottom line, most of us want the same things. We often disagree vehemently on how to get them, but we are hoping for the same basic things. |

Plus the anchor babies... "About 295,000 babies were born to unauthorized-immigrant parents in 2013, making up 8% of the 3.9 million U.S. births that year, according to a new, preliminary Pew Research Center estimate based on the latest available federal government data. This was a decline from a peak of 370,000 in 2007." NOW minorities make up MOST of the babies born. They are the majority below age 7. EVERYBODY admits that. MANY Hispanics are classified as white. Anchor babies...are having babies. There ARE 100 million of "them" here now. According to the Census, whites in the under-5 age group will tip to a minority in 2013 or 2014 and within five years, minorities will become the majority of children under the age of 18. Shortly after that, the total U.S. white population will decline in absolute numbers as baby boomers continue to age. America’s Minorities Becoming A Majority << CBS Miami |

If your numbers are correct, there's not much we can do about legal citizens procreating. If we're becoming more of a Hispanic or African American society it's just as much due to the fact that white people, especially well off white people are choosing to have fewer children. And just like we can't stop blacks and Hispanics from having children, we can't force wealthy white folks to have more children. As I said in my comment about anchor babies, it's time that we have the 14th amendment properly defined and stop the practice of birthright citizenship. There's nothing we can do now about those anchor babies that are having babies. They are US citizens and have the same rights as you and me. There's nothing that can be done about the past. In the future we need to stop the practice of birthright citizenship. I don't care if people are black, white, yellow or red, if at least one of their parents is a US citizen, they are US citizens. If neither parent is a citizen then they should not be citizens regardless of where they are born. |

A good start. I know, you have already heard that one before, but it is good enough to repeat. Speaking of gov, it appears that Trump is asking for a border tax to pay for the wall. If that passes through congress, I wonder how the left will spin that, in regards to Mexico NOT paying for the wall. |
Trump should sieze thier assets to cover the expense of deportation. Including fraudulent ss accounts (so Jan's medicare can keep coming). They came here to steal our jobs, got caught and thrown out with nothing to show for it. That will discourage other illegal immigrants.

What does bias have to do with it being "fake news" as you call it? Being bias does not make something wrong. Enough said |
