Trump accomplishments thus far
 

Only executive orders..

1. To say he will "seek repeal and replace". This is the extent of his first EO. Political obviously

2. To say how he may expedite environmental reviews of "high priority" infrastructure projects. ??

3. Strips federal money from Sanctuary Cities. Hiring of 10000 mor immigration officers and publish a list of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants. Needs congressional approval.

4. Building a wall on southern border. Needs congress approval for funding. Asks for 5000 more border patrol. Needs congressional approval.

5. This is the order on immigration which is held up by the court and which it appears Admin will do it again with the correct words and presentation.

6. Stops all executive branch folks from lobbying for five years after leaving office

7. When a new regulation is disseminated, at least two existing regulations should be removed

8. This is an order directing the Treasury to review and report back on whether we meet the core principals he outlined and see if they are legal.

9. Create a task force to propose new regulation to reduce crime, etc.

10. Proposes that congress pass new legislation to protect law enforcement and enact stricter punishment for crimes against.

11. Asks for progress reports on being stricter with drug cartels and gangs

12. Designates the order of succession in the Dept of Justice.

I did this in a general way but I think captured the essence of each order.

This is the sum total of what Trump has done, and I offer it not for criticism because I cant, but only to those who come on here and say he is fulfilling his promise.

Most of these are words. Congress will decide. They all sound good as he reads them but they are not accomplishing anything as of this writing.

I am not honestly criticizing him for anything, but no President could do all he promised and the posters on here who insist he is doing all this stuff are just wrong and misinformed. Again, I am not criticizing anything, but tired of hearing how he has done so much in a short time.

Let's not be so optimistic.

I am not even close to optimistic. This is all simply chatter and i dont blame him for this.

Posters on here who are always saying what he is doing should just read a bit and understand how this works.

So how does his list compare to Obama? 'W' Bush? for the same time frame.

Without comparisons all we have are subjective, biased opinions based mostly on media and partisan rhetoric hence not much validity other than partisan/media agenda.

The election is over...you continually talk about the doggone election which is over.

I explained that I simply have grown tired of posters saying he has fulfilled his promises. He may get some done..who knows, but he hasn't accomplished anything yet.

Many of them I wish him success, but revisiting the election is really not a good use of time. Trump and his supporters are obsessed about talking about his campaign.

Care or not, asking for comparison is a reasonable request....having said nothing about the election.

Immediately after OB was sworn in he stepped into the Capital Building and under the Dome he sat at a table and signed his very first Executive Order .

It was a special moment . It called for the closure of Gitmo . Eight long years and many Executive Orders later Ob is history and Gitmo is still open .
Pretty much sums up his entire Administration . He will go down in history somewhere behind Jimmie Carter .

I thing our justice system, continually ravaged by President Trump stopped that.

Was that Trump that disparaged the Supreme Court in the 2010 State of the Union address?

Polls can't be trusted. Even if true...does popularity automatically make a good president? Most people DON'T like the ones making them do what they should but don't want to do. Did you "like" your parents when they made you act like a mature person and not always get your way?

That's our countries problem now...a bunch of squabbling minorities all wanting to get their way.

If you are talking approval ratings at the end of a Presidential term, Jimmy Carter ranks way above GW Bush. Bush had a 22% approval rating and Carter was 37%. Obama was at 55%.

However, back to the topic of what Trump has so far accomplished. He has made himself a laughing stock for the entire world. His "alternative facts" (lies) are laughable and shows he is dilutional.

Evan leaders of countries that were our allies are laughing at trump as he stumbles along. The guy is a basket case.

There is a new C-span ranking of Presidents by historians.

It has Lincoln as 1, JFK at 8, Reagan at 9, Obama at 12, George HW Bush at 20, and George W Bush at 33.

Yes, Carter beat Weasel Bush in the rankings - again.
