The Keystone XL oil pipeline
"The Keystone XL oil pipeline does not need to be made from U.S. steel, despite an executive order by President Donald Trump days after he took office requiring domestic steel in new pipelines, the White House said on Friday."
trumpster's, are you going to hold donny's feet to the fire? He has conned you again, he doesn't hold the cards, congress does. |

where'd you comefrom?

OK, the president issued and executive order and you say that it doesn't have to be followed and that congress has the ultimate authority to make that decision.
We have no way of knowing whether that is true or not, but let's assume that it is. We'll find out who in congress supports US jobs and who is interested in using materials made in foreign countries. Many of these people will be up for re-election. Do you think that this could become and issue at that time? My guess is that close to 100% of the republicans will vote in favor of the president's order and those democrats that up for re-election and are interested in keeping their jobs will do the same. If the president did nothing else, he is forcing congress to reveal themselves. |
In two years many of those Democrats will be out of a job!

I've repeatedly said this is not a sporting event-a high school basketball game. PEOPLE have an opinion. Often they have no idea what they are talking about. They want to tell the coach how to do his job. RE: Running for office. I for one, have no interest in running. I would not put up with people wanting to not only look up my butt but drooling to find anything I have done wrong. Unlike Clinton-I DID INHALE. Unlike Susan Molanari who admitted that she did inhale-I KNEW HER DRUG SOURCE ON STATEN ISLAND AND SHE BOUGHT MARIJUANA BY THE KILOGRAM. There goes my political non-aspirations. |
When one is going to parrot an article from the news how about using the whole story and not just the parts that make your case/agenda sound better.
The pipe not made in America is already purchased and has been sitting around waiting while Obama circle jerked the delays.....and playing it dem wise....the steel was purchased while Obama was president. A partisan BS driven thread. |

Oh, btm knows his "secret identity" has been found out and that his real identity might become known to a wide range of people that do not share his beliefs.
Guess we have seen the last of "btm" on political issues. Hmmm? |

"The way that executive order is written," Sanders said. "It’s specific to new pipelines or those that are being repaired. Since this one is already currently under construction, the steel is already literally sitting there; it would be hard to go back." Keystone Pipeline - Wikipedia In March 2012, Obama endorsed the building of the southern segment (Gulf Coast Extension or Phase III) that begins in Cushing, Oklahoma. The President said in Cushing, Oklahoma, on March 22, "Today, I'm directing my administration to cut through the red tape, break through the bureaucratic hurdles, and make this project a priority, to go ahead and get it done."[55] The pipeline came to a greater prominence of attention when a planned fourth phase, Keystone XL, attracting growing environmental protest, became a symbol of the battle over climate change and fossil fuels, and in 2015 was rejected by then President Barack Obama. So you don't believe Obamma signed off on the 2012 bill, without specifying US steel would be used, and you don't believe Obamma put a halt to the project in 2015... |

Simply answer the question and quit trying to state things...that weren't said by me.. Prove where, as YOU stated, "Trump obviously did not know dip$hit Obamma bought and paid for import steel." As everyone can see, you just got caught lying again...and are simply trying to obfuscate. :boom: Nice try though. ;) Deepest Sincere Wishes:  |

I'm all for the Keystone pipeline. Who would you rather buy oil from? Canada or a middle east country?

That's right...no one knows. ;) So, if you knew it was all being put on ships to foreign countries...would you still be so strongly for it? Deepest Sincere Wishes:  |

The US has the "most" oil...only if you count oil locked up in shale...VERY expensive to get out. As for easy to get, free flowing oil...it's still SA, Venezuela, the ME countries, Russia... |

I am curious if you would characterize your post in the "Bronze Zoo" thread (which you claimed to have made a $100 dollar donation to charity) as a blatant lie? You did not generalize any information about your act, you just purposely lied... |

Maybe your hero Obamma would spend a little of the 12.4 million he has amassed (as a 400K a year politician) to send it back??? |

OPEC controls the price of oil and they control their competition. Saudi's oil is more expensive because it is horizontally mined from sand, so they only lower the price long enough to drive the competition out of business and then they raise prices to make the sand mining financially feasible again. What would you say if I told you a conglomerate formed by US oil companies used to own all the rights to Saudi's oil?? |
