He could have just been winging this. That phrase probably is in his head a lot no matter if he saw SNL or not. Was he not on some of those SNL shows?

Al Franken stole his entire political career from a SNL skit. The one where this Franken declared the 70's "Me Decade" to be over, named the 80's after himself, asked people to only think about his welfare, and to send money to him so he could a limo for himself. After getting the boot from SNL he did his damnedest to kill the show because he didn't get his way.
You know... a lot of democrats have tried to embrace those qualities.

Recall the old saw "Lead , follow or get the heck out of the way".

Well for the last 8 years the progressives could not lead and the nation suffered.

They are now the minority party and they can or won't follow

Worse yet they won't get the heck out of the way and do so by playing trivia pursuit.

Its a waste of time to try and discuss issues with progressives because you can present them with stats, fact checked sources, etc and the only reply you will
