Was it a random occurrence or did the homeowners have something like illegal drugs that were the reason?

Doesn't really make sense that a 19 year old would be waiting for intruders with an AR-15.

I am sure the sheriff will be asking questions.

3 guys dressed in black wearing gloves and masks...armed with knives and brass knuckles...sounds like bad guys.

The 23 year old son of the homeowner shot the 3 bad guys with the AR-15.

The sheriff is asking questions, those have resulted in the arrest of the get away driver.

Yes you are correct but in this same 24 hour period how many good or innocent guys are room temperature because a bad guy was able to secure a gun so easily?

WHO??? Some minority in the inner city? THAT is where the gun violence happens...all day...every day.

Inner city minorities get guns easier than regular white people.

Well we can't make a silk purse out of a cows ear...what do you propose? More paperwork? Banning anything that sounds dangerous? Maybe taking guns away from all the good guys (the ones that legally own them - because the ones that don't are not going to turn their's in)?

If you don't have the answer maybe the Chicago, Detroit, or Philadelphia mayor can advise you.

I believe bad people will always exist. If more good people owned firearms and knew how to use them...there would be more bad guys with guns shot wounds!

If they were smart they would double the punishment for anyone that uses a stolen firearm in the commission of a crime, any crime!

Yes they will...especially if we keep encouraging them. The "bad people" who use guns to kill the most are the inner city minorities.

If you want to cut back on gun violence...ALL violence...you MUST cut back on the number of minorities...THEY are responsible for 80% of violence now...as their numbers increase so does their percentage of violent commissions.

If we were smart, we'd be looking for ways to DECREASE their numbers...not paying for them AND their healthcare.

I wish those damn magicians had never conjured up all those guns...

All you have to do to get a gun is walk up behind a cop and hit him on the head and you have his. Would passing another law stop this?

Seeing you asked, unlike the NRA and it's rabid supporters I don't believe being able to maintain a body temperature of 98 degrees should qualify anyone to purchase or carry a concealed firearm. I would give law enforcement very broad power to execute stop and frisk regardless of race, sex, or age. I would register all guns, even the ones that the good guys have with strict enforcement. Maybe figure out how to get gun industry and NRA to help fund emergency room gun shot treatments for uninsured victims.

The "gun problem" is a problem with minorities having guns. THEY do 80% of the shootings. Get rid of the minorities and you cut crime by 80%. They are NOT civilized like us.

If those "good or innocent guys" were carrying, they would probably be alive. Bad guys are bad guys because they do not recognize the law. You will not change the bad guy by making restrictive laws for the good guy.

They just don't get it...a crazy white guy shooting the place up happens less than 1% of the time. MOST gun deaths...h3ll...most killings period are committed by minorities...80% at the least. MOST inner city crime and even many murders are never reported. Criminals when robbed/beat don't usually report it. When gang members are killed, it's not always reported. The body is dumped.

Without a very strong stop and frisk and severe penalties for carrying without a license not much. You would also have to make concealed carry a little more difficult to license. You would still want to give "qualifies and vetted" citizens to ability to conceal carry but it is much to easy. There are thousands of felons out there who have not been convicted yet that can purchase and carry a firearm, you see them shooting at each other at stop lights. The second amendment has been twisted so much it is not recognizable. WE need to do something besides make more guns for good guys.

If you went into the inner cities and stopped and frisk, every other minority you stopped would be arrested...how will you explain locking up 1/2 the minorities in the city? WHERE will you put them?

Stop and frisk? That has been deemed racially biased. Cops, even African American and Hispanic Latino cops, would seldom stop and frisk a Caucasian American. This is due to the fact that the minorities are statistically shown as the most likely offender. So that is something Jesse Jackass and Al Shrapnel would be vocally against. They would say they don't want those people targeted. I feel they don't want those people vindicated and improve their position in the social status. (if they were frisked and were not breaking laws the majority of the time, that would prove the bias was unwarranted, that would end Jesse and Al's crusade. They would rather keep everyone where they are in the social ladder, so they can continue to extort)...

Much too easy? Why do we need to make it harder for good guys to get concealed carry? Illinois requires 16 hours of classroom instruction and a shooting proficiency test from 3 distances (believe they need 85% or better to pass). Florida requires an 8 hour safety class. The concealed carry group is not committing crimes, the bad guys are certainly not taking any safety courses and the bad guys are not getting concealed carry...

Those thousands of felons have to lie on the firearm registration if they tried to purchase a firearm...there is a wait period between purchase and possession...that time is supposed to allow state police to do background check on the purchaser. That felon should have been exposed in the process, either the police made an error (the people you want to be doing the stop and frisk) or the felon did not aquire the firearm legally...

Quite exaggerated. My guess would be 1/50 would be armed with a firearm. More would have mace or some other defensive tool.

Thanks for sharing your guess...and attempting to minimize (or discount) the weapons as "defensive tool"...

There are more guns in America than people...over 300 million.

The majority of the guns are found in the inner cities. Just about EVERYONE from men to women, all races...carry when they live in the "bad parts" of town.

WHY?
