Fact-checking the Trumpian spin on ‘surveillance of Trump’
|
Notice that nothing from the mainstream libtard media about RICE and the proof that the White House WAS surveilling Trump. Kind of makes this thread moot, since the WP is also in denial.

What is your opinion of the Washington Post as compared to ..........The New York Times, Reuters, The Guardian, U.S.A. Today, Newsweek, The La Times, The Orlando Sentinel, etc. etc. etc. It is very hard to find the truth. |

This seems to be a fairly objective site. I am sure it also has a few problems. They do seem to dig though. |

Look..let's get real. First, the House of Representatives, and the Senate, in a bipartisan way empowered an investigation to look into the potential hacking into systems to influence a US election. That was it when it began..non partisan While that investigation was on going, President Trump accused President Obama of wiretapping him and asked that to also be investigated. They did that investigation, and announce publicly that Russia, under Putin direct orders, did in fact hack and did in fact attempt to influence our 2016. They found that the attempt was to help Trump win. They found no evidence of gots being changed or actually directly influenced. They said thisUNAMINIOUSLY. At the time the congress held an open session on this, they announced that there was, in addition and based on information garnered from the Russian investigation a new criminal investigation by the FBI relative to the Trump campaign. At that time, they said they had no evidence relative to President Trumps claim of wiretapping. Since the, the President has been publicly claiming a number of things, ALL of which come under the perfume of existing investigations. The most current charge by the President comes as all others have, including the charge of British involvement....Fox News cites ANONYMOUS SOURCES, mostly on the morning show, which then leads to public charges by Trump of proof he was wiretapped. He also will speak to leaks, EXCEPT those leaked to him by Fox. Current charge is about Susan Rice. Rice was National Security Advisor in the White House and her job was to review intelligence reports each and every day. This is the job assigned to that position, and has been part of that title. In that job, when a report requires context, which I assure you is often, she REQUESTS THAT A PERSON BE UNMASKED IN WRITING TO ONE OF APPROX 19 people. They decide whether to allow that unmasking. Those people do not work for any administration and are just well trained people. Once, and if, that permission is granted, she will get he name by [B]phone[/ B] from the agency involved. These requests are in writing and have a record. This is the information that is then given to The President in his morning briefing. So, all you people making crazy claims and or assumptions are flat out crazy. Stories in the press are just that. There was a critical call in one thread for investigative reporting. Folks... THERE IS AN ON GOING INVESTIGATION BY THE HOUSE AND SENATE AND WHEN IT CONCLUDES WE WILL KNOW WHO LIED AND WHO DID NOT, BUT IN THE MEANTIME THROWING STONES IS STUPID BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW. As to the acinine comment about the media, that is so stupid. THAT claim came DIRECTLY from Fox, and I assure you this story, and every other accusation made by the President is extremely well covered. PS..By the way, despite the stupid claims about "libtards", Democrats or liberals making charges...frankly the single ONLY PERSON MAKING CHARGES IS THE PRESIDENT. I am not offering opinion...it is simple fact. |

Like I said, nothing from the liberal media. Just like the liberal media attempted to protect the felon Hillary, and so far she has gotten away with her lies and felony violations. Say what you wish in defense, but this is more news than golfing trips, White House portraits and Pepsi commercials. |

Great Americans listen only to Townhall or other types. Having two sides of any story is extremely unamerican to some. |

He is doing what I thought he would do...bumble around like a brain surgeon trying to sell balloons to make a living. All the lifers on Capital Hill know the inside stuff and how to maneuver around it, but most of all the lifers are very good TALKERS. He has a new staff and doesn't have a clue who he can count on or trust. He isn't good at this job yet, but he does have the work ethic. I don't know if I can stand the tension of this for four years, but somehow I think he can do it. This is my female assessment and it does have quite a bit of living behind it and some solid reading and a lot of personal experience and interest in how people work. P.S. Tal...Politifact is indeed owned by the same company as the Tampa Bay Times and are lefties. |

I feel sorry for Ivanka Trump and her husband. They look like good people in a very bad situation of dealing with a man whose ambitions could not match his abilities. If he got some really talented people in his Cabinet he might be able to pull it around but it looks like they will be eventually enough evidence for even the Republicans to get in on the impeachment. And Mike Pence would probably also have to go putting in someone that the Republican Establishment would really be able to back. Shades of Watergate and what happened with Nixon and Agnew.
