Everyone OK?
That was a pretty intense storm that went through this morning. Here in Poinciana it lasted about 1 hr. Lost Comcast TV for about 5 minutes, although I think that was actually the system rebooting. Comcast internet not affected. Electricity OK. One palm frond down.
Everyone else OK? |
Country Club Hills present and accounted for. There is a high price tag on the beautiful weather we experience most of the time. These storms are amazing.
|
What a great storm. Rolling thunder and light show was amazing.
|
The ducks were having a good time swimming on the fairways of Evans Prairie, but the water is already receding.
|
Had to comfort Beau through all of it. Other than that everything seems OK in Lynnhaven.
|
Mira Mesa & Chula Vista seem to have survived also.
|
2.5" rain the first storm and 1" this morning Village of Charlotte
|
I didn't even know it rained until I took the dog out this morning. I was really surprised when I looked at the rain gage, 1 1/2".

My Aunt up in Cape Cod used to have a St. Bernard that would also sometimes require the same kind of treatment. |
About 4:15 this morning that thunder was intense. Woke us up. All is good.

Here in Mallory, I thought the Tuesday thunder was more intense. Some really close ones ... lightening sizzle BOOM with no separation. All is good though
PS. Tal, you seems to be a good man, but all the things you did for your dog are just the opposite of what he/she needs... It is a hard issue, but lots of help online... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...oPYvfcmsjFZwFQ and many many more... the issue needs to be worked on when there is not a storm, not easy, lots of practice, but fun IMO |

And with some of the storms he seems OK. |

My rain gauge said 1 1/2 inches in Buttonwood. I thought we got more?

Santiago got 2-1/2" on Tuesday and 2" last night. Cart path on golf course under water this morning. Probably need another 10" to fill some of the ponds. Some palm fronds down but that's it.

Probably more cow pies there now. |

Cat took the high ground (top of bookcase in one fell swoop) at the booming thunder around 4:30 am. Other one slept right through it beside me. That was the extent of the excitement here in Hemingway.
|
That was a good drenching the last two storms as the retention pond on El Camino was bone dry. Went riding past the pond today and it looked half full.
Heard the thunder this morning at 4 AM but it didn't faze me too much as I rolled over and went back to sleep. |
The thunder woke me shortly after 4 this AM. LIghtning was intense. Looked like someone had a strobe light on outside our bedroom windows. Got up to check the weather on tv. Cable shut off, internet lost. Modem needed to be reset and now have two cable boxes that went belly up and one of those HD DTA boxes, too, has given up the ghost. Couple of circuit breakers tripped. Tv on the lanai has also gone to the dark side. Not sure where the heck there was a strike, but there was a loud pop outside before all went haywire. Wasn't loud enough for a direct lightning strike, have had one close by years ago....they are deafening! Comcast will be out to check the boxes and the DTA., but it seems replacement is needed. Main DVR and one other box are okay.
