Atlas Dog Park will be closed all of next week (Monday thru Friday).

No complaints it definitely needed fixing. Glad they are doing it. Jake will just have to go elsewhere for the week.

This time of year after 5 there is shade on the west side benches ( large dog park ) by way of the climbing whatever on the chain link fencing.

I constantly shake my head regarding what was their thinking when they refused to install trees in the dog park.

There is no excuse for not doing that!

Atlas dog park, off Moyer Loop, is still closed.
Now scheduled to re-open Wednesday, April 19.

Dog Parks ALWAYS Have Trees & Shade!

Yes, residents and dogs alike are guaranteed to go there and sweat bullets the entire time because of the lack of trees or any kind of shade.

Too bad the powers that be don't read these columns to know what residents really think about things -- not that anything would change, however . . . .

You do have the option of 2 other dog parks located in the villages that do have shade. I for one just enjoy watching my dog have fun. I put on a hat & bring plenty of water for him. It's not so bad.

The dog park on Huey Street gets my vote. Plenty of shade, a few benches and the city will be putting in water for the dogs.

As soon as you make your right turn onto Huey from Powell Road south it is immediately on your left. You usually will see the cars in the parking lot.
