The Missing Aircraft Carrier
 

For days we were told by Trump, his two defense Generals and Spicer that they had an aircraft carrier and destroyers headed to North Korea. Yesterday, we found that this was totally untrue, the aircraft carrier was actually in the Indian Ocean and headed in the opposite direction. Again, our leaders look like complete fools. Did they not believe the truth would eventually come forth ?? I GROW SO WEARY OF TRUMP AND NOW HIS CABINET LEADERS LYING CONSTANTLY.

Back when I was a kid they didn't tell us how they were running the war.

For your information, since you have no military expertise at all, as to military power what really maters is what you do not see.

You folks who will defend this administration in the strangest manner. You accept lying....DIRECT lying...from the White House.

This was supposed to be a show of force. It has no analogy to "loose lips sink ships"....IT WAS A SHOW OF FORCE, but THEY NEVER SHOWED UP.

This was not a planned attack of some kind. The idea as proffered by the President was to show force and strength. IT was not a secret mission of some sort.

You folks really need to get your facts straight before talking as if we are at war.

PERHAPS there was a good reason for what happened, but they mislead or allowed a bunch of bad information to fester.

As much as I use words to condemn the President and his big mouth, you folks condemn the OP immediately with words like...

in this case, neither of those apply in any way....it was supposed to be a show of force, readily and loudly proclaimed well in advance of the weekend. The Vinson is on its way there now. You cannot hide an aircraft carrier.

I supported his action but he didn't complete the action and thus questions. Legitimate I might add based on other confusing things done by this White House.

Obviously, you have never served in the armed forces or even in the federal gov.

Leaders in our gov should NEVER give out troop movement to the public. In the past, that was considered classified information. If you liberals want to know everything the gov is doing, enlist or join the military or gov. Wow, I thought that liberals considered themselves so learned. They may have some liberal book learning but it sure did not do much for their common sense.

When a troop movement is for the express and sole purpose of a "show of strength" or iintimidation, AND is publicly and loudly announced by the President of the United States, in what world is that a secret.

It is tiresome and I can simply say that when the truth matters to the American people, how can we be assured it is actually the truth.

Whatever he says is news because it is either a lie, twisted or an accusation based on a false reality.

He wonders why he gets bad news coverage.....the media is simply reporting what he says and does....it all starts with him. Talking about NEWS now, not commentary.

IN time of real emergency, being lied to is not going to work and he has shown that if the truth makes him look bad IN ANY WAY, he WILL LIE

He has, as we have seen, already affected our allies and our foreign policy relative to credibility
