The Drained Swamp
Here is how President trump drained the swamp as he promised.
He appointed several Goldman Sachs people to serve on his cabinet. He appointed a couple of Wall Streeters to also be in his cabinet. He appointed the CEO of the largest oil company in the world to be his Secretary of State. His Secretary of Education was a huge Trump donor. Most of his Ambassador appointments have gone to major donors to the Trump fund. He now has Bannon, Ivanka and his son in law as his primary advisors. He did a great job draining the swamp, didn't he ?????? |
Guess that depends on what draining the swamp means. It really sounds like he has just moved the swamp. I do have a problem with unelected people advising policies in the WH
This presidency has gone pretty far out there. |

Then again, Republicans seem to like this 'out there' stuff (ie: Bannon) given that Nancy Reagan...had an astrologer on standby. :1rotfl: |
Is this an ALL GIRLS club or can anyone join in the little conversation?
Draining the swamp? Did you expect that Trump would bring in garbage collectors, hamburger flippers and telephone solicitors for the jobs? He brought in outside experts in most cases and military experts for some high positions. Is that not draining the swamp. Of course, many ambassador positions are payback for donors and major supporters. That's the way it works. You girls really need to get a life, if you can't find something political to talk about. Trump has accomplished a lot in 90 days and you don't even discuss any of it. You would rather talk about his skin tone, tax return, daughter, wife, son, golf or what he eats. You sound like you only source of information is Entertainment magazine. I realize that you eyes bleed every time you read something that shows he is doing his job. I also realize that many of you hear something positive about Trump and your heads explode. You only have to worry about your little girly tiffs for four years. Then you can actually go back to your tearing down America again and re-shaping it in your image of European Socialism. I still don't understand why you don't simply move to Europe where the job is already done. Ok girls, back to your little gossip. Facebook misses you. Please feel free to move your girl talk over there with the rest of the teens. |

Have you told your associate female right-wing extremist posters...that their opinion is irrelevant and not wanted? While I've known that your feeble attempts at defending Graceless have been predicated solely on shared politics, you really need to try harder at hiding the fact that you are much more aligned with Klan Breath (GG term)...than her. ;) Then again, I doubt she is intelligent enough to figure that out...so carry on. :D Deepest Sincere Wishes:  |

But, he has also kept enough politicians in positions in order to help him navigate the politics of Washington. As far as I can see it's a perfect blend of real problem solvers and necessary evils. |

92 days in office and not a single piece of meaningful legislation passed.
What happened to the "On Day 1, I will ..."? Tax reform has not been brought forward. Health Care Reform gasped and died. And now, the Federal Government may be shut down on Friday. Yeah, the Swamp is still there. |

Parade of Trump cabinet picks is heavy on Washington outsiders, light on experience - The Boston Globe
Kind of like Trump getting an actual barber to do his hair rather than whoever actually does it now. Unless he just wants to be a topic of conversation with that doo. Most of his cabinet picks work against common sense in each of the areas that have been put. Generates talk but probably very bad policies. |

Well, Trumpeteers, where are the major pieces of reform legislation that Trumpf promised he would do on Day 1?
Just more hot air? Oh, the Federal Government may be shut down on TRUMPANZEE's 100th day in office! A new president with a 40% approval rating during the "honeymoon" period is not impressive!! Comments from the peanut gallery? |

"The first 100 days of a presidency is a rather artificial milestone, but one by which all presidents have been measured since Franklin D. Roosevelt’s whirlwind of action when he took office in the midst of the Great Depression. President Donald Trump appears especially conscious of this marker. During the presidential campaign, he even issued a list of 60 promises that he said he would fulfill in his first 100 days. We’ve been tracking Trump’s promises, and so far he has not even taken action on 60 percent of the promises – and he’s broken five of them, such as his promise to label China as a currency manipulator. Fact Check: Donald Trump claims most successful administration through 90 days |
""If President Trump is really committed to the promise of draining the swamp, he needs to start paying attention to his 2016 campaign associates.
Last week, a former Trump appointee and transition official, Robert Wasinger, bailed on the White House to go work as a lobbyist. Now we're reading about a handful of former campaign associates who are looking to turn their connections to the president into lucrative lobbying deals with foreign interests. Former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, for example, is actively courting foreign governments and looking to strike it rich doing consulting work on overseas elections, Politico reported this week. Drain the swamp indeed. Swamp draining time is going really well I forgot to get permission...are we still allowed to post opinion pices or did I see that was thought to be unsavory, it depends in the opinion. |

What you tot ally lack in knowledge, you seem to make up with wise ass remarks OR the standard defense for a Trump screw up...Clinton OR Obama OR Clinton and Obama. Forgiving the President of the United States (not a candidate, but President) of lying, embarrassing the country etc, but chanting Clinton or Obama to defend Trump is the biggest insult, but insult of yourselves and lack of knowledge. You livE in the past...you claim people won't come to grips...got news for you, it is as someone referred to you as Trumpanzees p...you are the ones that can't get by the election. Time to govern folks..time to truthtell...time to grow up. |

You are aware that the election is over, the campaign is over. And you are condoning lying by the President from the Oval Office based on who he ran against. Your theory is our President can lie or do what he wants because of his opponent. Good logic. That is simply STUPID. You cannot get over the election. It is time to govern, the campaign or maybe you hadn't heard is over. |

Has anyone ever heard of an assistant to the President having a Chief of Staff ?
Serious question....never heard of such a thing "Ivanka Trump is quietly staffing up, and she’s filling out her team in the West Wing with former officials from President George W. Bush’s administration. In addition to her close adviser Dina Powell, who served as assistant to the president for personnel in the Bush White House, the first daughter — who now serves as a special assistant to the president — has hired a chief of staff who worked under Bush’s education secretary, Margaret Spellings." Ivanka Trump adds a chief of staff - POLITICO |
Quote:
As such, has her own little fiefdom and therefore is doing what most First Lady's have done. In this case though, the position is...'Chief of Staff to the Second Lady.' :ohdear: |
