Colbert is losing it

I suspected that Colbert was losing it when he testified in congress a while back. After seeing a piece of his monologue about Trump, I am sure he has lost it. He appears frantic, desperate and unhinged. I guess I am not the only one that sees it that way.

Stephen Colbert's Trump Sex Joke Provokes #FireColbert Twitter Storm Fueled by Offended Trump Supporters

He offended much more that Trump supporters when he crossed that line the other night. He offended anyone with a shred of decency on BOTH sides of the aisle and they have let him know it. I only hope that the FCC lets CBS know it, too. The guy needs to go back to Comedy 101 if he actually thinks stuff like that is funny. I don't watch him or the others, anyway, but late night shows used to be entertaining. Not anymore.

Stephen Colbert under fire for 'homophobic' Trump sex joke on 'The Late Show' | syracuse.com

Looks like an over-reaction from some conservatives. The joke is foul but there are some far worse IMHO on the irritate wackadoodle thread by trying to be more popular than the library 224 613 Project thread.

I don't believe that the negative reaction was restricted to just conservatives. But, I may be giving too much credit to there being decent Democrats. You were upset over a lesser vulgarity made by Trump in PRIVATE, but you think that his vulgar comment on public TV is an over reaction.

Aww, the REGRESSIVES are upset that their Ape-in-Chief was compared to a sign language gorilla with a head injury?

As for the Putin joke, it seems apropos. After all, Trumpf is Putin's b-tch, isn't he?

Some people are upset about remarks Colbert made about Trump and some people are upset about remarks they viewed as being homophobic.

The First Amendment Free Speech is guaranteed to offend someone but it is a sacred right that should never be lost and has been guarded by many and with their lives

The side issue with free speech is whether it is of sound judgment fairness or civility, etc. Too many Hollywood people and politicians, in my opinion, act in poor taste, judgment and fairness

People like Colbert and Baldwin resurrected their careers and owe Trump their thanks .

Colbert may have demonstrated poor taste and judgment but he shouldn't lose his job over it.

Colbert's career seems to be doing quite well with or without Donald John Trump.

I really doubt if he will lose his job over this.

Sorry Rubi, but this is one of those rare times when I disagree.

Colbert used vulgar, nasty language on pubic TV and it did not matter whether it was related to Trump or not. Apparently, many on here did NOT hear the whole spew. I can't even type it on here because it will be censured. It was more nasty than what the libtards got all bent out of shape about Trump saying in private a dozen years ago.

Colbert has lost it and is out of control. The only thing missing is foam at the mouth.

Jesse Waters made a perceived innuendo and he will probably be fired for it. Colbert actually said several nasty things that no one would want their family to hear.

Colbert vindicated Trump by making a worse vulgar PUBLIC statement, whether supposed comedy or not. NOT is more like it because even many Democrats thought he was out of line.

Sorry, did you say something sissy? Perhaps some larger fonts and some more of those cute little emoticons?

I really knew you would appear but thought you would be the second hypocrite to respond. Although, I almost believed that manure you pass around about defending the bullied. That was no comedy. The end of it was exactly what he said it was, when he told you that he was going from jokes to attacking Trump to his face. Try to defend that Mr. Liberal. Talk your way out of that one. And do me a favor and put me on your invisible ignore list.
And you had better have your head examined if you REALLY think that Trump's private conversation was anything more than two guys joking. Colbert did not say he was joking. And he directed the assault directly on Trump. That was nasty and cheap. It would not even have been funny had he been talking about Obama.
But, I did expect you to pipe up. You just couldn't resist. By the way, how did you significant other/partner feel about it? Sorry, rhetorical question, not requiring or desiring an answer.
By the way, this is only comedy and I am just joking, so when I talk to you as if you are an idiot, it's all in fun...

Stop the pontificating. You are in no position to pass judgement on vulgarity. Trump had a verbal spanking coming for being a total jagoff. Watch the video.

the point of ANY comedy is to first set up a scenario that would have a logical ending, then show that the ending is different......so, what is the real problem? Trump set up his situation, and then instead of going to a logical ending, he did differently.....nothing wrong with comedy, but something is definetly wrong when a politician, or any of his/her supporters want to silence the comedian. Perfect example: Lenny Bruce

Wrong Chi. Go back under your stone until CNM tags you for your turn in the ring.

Trump did nothing but refuse to answer a question and when that jerk pushed him by attempting to agitate an answer from him, he broke off the interview. The guy was attempting to get Trump to say something that he could use as news. He wanted to MAKE news instead of report.

Colbert was not joking and said so. He was deadly serious and abused his comedian position to rant. He said he attacked Trump because his boyfriend was insulted by Trump. It was vulgar and in very bad taste. If he would have done it to Obama, he would already be off the air and would never work again.

But, you are entitled to see it your way, even if you refuse to acknowledge the truth.

Colbert vindicated anything that Trump may have said in private a dozen years ago that you libtards insist on crying about.

Do you have any idea of what you are TRYING to say? Do you even know what anyone is talking about?

Trump was being interviewed. He refused to answer a question and was badgered and disrespected, so he ended the interview. I respect the fact that he did not allow the idiot to taunt him into responding spontaneously like he has on several times in the past. Colbert took that as an insult to his friend and decided to use his comedy show forum as a vehicle to retaliate in anger. He admitted this after he received a lot of static over his vulgarity and disrespect. It was not comedy, it was personal.

MSM has never had such a prominent person defy their imagined Fourth Estate mentality. They recognize that the days are now over when a reporter would ask a person for an interview and if that person refused the reporter would reply then I'll print what I want, which they usual did anyway. Advances in technology changed all that.

The interesting thing here is that people in this nation now hold the news media in disdain.

Colbert's antics reinforce the need for the Legion of Decency . Movies and television have become incubators of some of the worse filth ever put out on the airwaves and young minds are being destroyed.

Agreed...

They show minorities as equals and often better than whites. They show women as equals and often better than men. The show gay's as being completely normal.

The young and impressionable actually BELIEVE the propaganda.

Rap and Hollywood inaccurately portrays the average citizen as vulgar mouthed cretins, including children. The first movie I watched that had an instance of a child talking vulgar was E.T. I couldn't believe it. And I had taken my children and nieces and nephews to see it when it first came out. You will be hard pressed and dismissive to find the instances in the film but I know of at least two places where children are vulgar in the presence of adults, in that movie. No one would take notice of it now, and may even consider it cute, but at the time it shocked me. It was or is rated PG for language. I guess many overlook that, thinking that the language would be coming from adult actors, not children. I take the blame for not noticing the PG rating at the time. It was still a good movie. Now, we hear worse on primetime TV.

Did Trump pass himself off as a goody two shoes? He's no fake. He is what he is and he does not fit the politician profile. Obama was a good suit model as an advertisement of what a Politician should look like on TV, but he was inept and failed. He actually made Carter look less of a failure. And that was some doing.
Trump says what is on his mind before thinking it out whether it's PC or not. And I believe he doesn't have time to worry about it. He has a job to do and he is doing it. As far as he is concerned, if you are not part of the solution, then get out of the way. Whether Dem or Repub., makes no difference.

He offends the sensibilities of the left, and yet they immortalize scumbags like Rap pretenders, Hollywood empty headed pretenders, so-called (not) comedians and other celebrities that are filthy mouthed and nasty. But, that is just the hypocritical way of the left. They don't like what Trump says, but celebrate scum like Colbert. But say Obama's name without reverence and they will rain down on you with accusations of "racism."

Liberals are always making excuses for their failures and casting blame on everyone else. No responsibility and guts. They are only tough when in crowds or anonymously.

Inaccurately? That IS what America is now...entertainment is now geared to the lowest level. The minorities...the new majority. It will only get worse.

Because liberals are inferior women and minorities. What else CAN they do? They CAN'T fix it...that takes a while male. When something "hard" or "complicated" breaks...who fixes it? A white man. It's not a woman, it's not a minority...it's a white guy who comes in and saves your day.
