Chemtrails, your thoughts
 

My husband has, on two separate occasions, with two different people, become engaged in a conversation regarding "chemtrails" and how our government in poisoning us...... The conversation was not started by my spouse. Having spent most of his life as a licensed pilot he was attempting to dispel their fears of being attacked by our own government but his explanations were falling on deaf ears. I was incredulous listening to him relate the conversations. Any thoughts on the subject?

If someone tries to talk to me about any chemtrail conspiracy theory, I will offer to listen to them if they go unicorn hunting with me first.

Chemtrails is the slang term for weather modification or geoengineering. Actually this is taking place. Surprise surprise!

I've been told that this is taking place all over the world. How can they get Russia, China, Iran, N. Korea, etc all on this program? Nothing but a modern fairy tale.

Is Hannity aware of this?

I simply tell them my fellow citizens from my planet are seeking the answer as well and we're on top of it !

Contrails
 

Contrails have existed since airplanes have been capable of flying high enough to produce them. They are created by the heat and moisture from the combustion in aircraft engines coming in contact with very cold air. The duration of their persistence is related to the weather conditions at the altitude at which the aircraft is flying at any particular time.

I assure you that the Germans saw a lot of them during WW II. (See below.)

The theory that there is a conspiracy to introduce harmful chemicals into the contrails to produce "chemtrails" can be avoided by wearing a tinfoil hat at all times.

Change the subject, logic will probably not work.

I have found a larger percentage of folks here, are prone to believe fake news and conspiracy theories...than most other places I've lived.

Just tell your husband, that although it's mostly a thankless job...trying to educate them is still worth it. :shrug:

Art Bell is gone but Coast to Coast Am is still going strong. George Noory took his place. If you have the TUNEIN APP you can listen to them easily. You can also listen to good conspiracy shows on KGRA Radio. They have podcasts as well.

There seem to be some persons who simply must glom on to every conspiracy theory any lunatic spawns. It sound like your husband found some. The word is "contrail" as in "condensation trails". Chentrails is an invented bastardization which those ignorant of physics use. Recent photos of "chemtrails" are just the contrails left under certain atmospheric conditions by high flying aircraft, jet and reciprocating engines alike. You would have seen the exact same patterns, but many more over Europe as the B-17s flew to Germany and (fewer) flew back. It isn't new, it isn't Chem anything, other than H2O - It's water vapor.

Unfortunately both conversations involved Villagers. The initial conversation took place out of doors with the person pointing to the contrails over TV and trying to tell him that it was "chemtrails".....

We lived in the flight path of Newark International Airport in New Jersey for 55 plus years and we all seem to be fine so far. Some lady in the pool who is normally very reserved was really worked up over this Chemtrail issue. I listened for the first 20 minutes very respectfully then made an excuse to get away from her. She was passionate about the whole thing. I had never considered it before or since.

Now I find out its Contrails jeez. Should I tell her?

Filled with tachyons and antimatter?

Reminds me of the Y2K hysteria. I remember someone telling me there were "concrete" plans in place to turn the Delmarva penninsula into a concentration camp and that there were 500,000 Russian and Chinese troops that had infiltrated the country already. The sad thing was this was an educated person.

Then there were those who never worked in a NYC office building arguing that explosive charges were placed in the beams of the WTC to make them collapse. Anyone who ever worked in an office building knows that no one can simply tear out walls without the office managers all over them.

Some people are just conspiracy nuts.

I can't tell if it's because I retired to down here and didn't pay attention to wild theories while I was still working, or if there are actually many more conspiracy theorists down here.

So long as it's harmless, I guess I won't worry about it. If they start talking about taking action against "them", I'll change my alert level.

Chemtrails/contrails causes global warming (aka climate change) areoplanes should be banned, also all gambling casinos and horse tracks should be ban, bad very bad for mentally weak. Might as well throw alcohol, cigarettes, and expensive foreign cars in the mix as well. Next on the list fake sugar, big gulp soda, and coffee. Anybody want to add to the list?:0000000000luvmyhors
