Looking for recommendation on pool builders
 

We are building a new house and will have a pool. I am looking for a good, local, builder of pools that is reputable and good! Thank you in advance.

T&D and Vera is the best Sales person and one of the nicest humans I have ever met.

T&D is my recommendation also. I worked with 5 different contractors to get a pool built earlier this year, pricing was competitive between all but it came down to more than price. T&D was turnkey, everything taken care of as part of the package price, the others I would have had to take care of the fence, sprinklers, lawn, etc. Some it was like buying a car with all the discounts and deals, etc. T&D is straight forward, it's in their pricing spreadsheet, and is what it is, no "special deals".

T&D are difficult to get an appointment, 2 month wait, but worth it.

Look for complaints on the various builders on TOTV, few and far between, not so for others.

Construction on our new pool started last week and is expected to take 10 weeks, weather permitting, which as of today isn't.

Hands down T&D. Their customer care and responsiveness is excellent. Each day the workers accomplished quite a bit of work. There was no down time, or waiting for a sub to do his/her part.

Ten weeks to build a pool though? Is this common?

It depends. How much pool and cage you contract for.

T and D also added pool bath for us. Two different brothers and two different operations in one company. T and D.

We too used T&D. We also highly recommend.

Our neighbors used another local company that specializes in pools. They gave a deposit at contract signing, then waited three months for the project to actually begin. They were surprised by three stops during the project, where they were told they would have to hire another contractor or contractors to do parts of the project that weren't included. After starting, lots of days and sometimes weeks where no work was done. They got a nice pool. About 90% of what they wanted, the way they wanted. But a long, less than satisfactory experience.

We used Fiesta Pools. Very pleased with the price, quality and timeliness of installation.

A reputable installer can be done in 8-10 weeks for pool and screen enclosure. There are horror stories on this site of installers taking WAY LONGER.

Make sure the company was not in business under another name. If it was sunshine pools, walk away!

We had Fiesta Pools build ours and they did a first class job, on time and on budget. :bigbow:

They were a lot cheaper than other quotes we had and they worked extremely hard, coming every day, except for a weekend off after the concrete was poured.

They are a small specialist family firm, started by the current owners mother and father years ago and now even have the grandsons in the business. :bigbow:

Did ours in 6 weeks. No problems. Family business over 40 years I believe. 2 brothers actually do building along with family members and employees. T & D did our birdcage extension a year later. They are good too, but I would say comparable, not better.

Does anyone have a fiberglass pool??

Price was outstanding and great job.

You got to weigh out the differences, You can pay for higher price to include sodding the yard, and irrigation repair, Or get the pool done and contract that your self at a much cheaper price.

We also had a great experience with Fiesta, would highly recommend them. Our pool is nearly a year old now and they have been continued to make us happy.

We just put in our pool and used Fiesta Pools. They did a great job and had no issues with them.

T&D did our pool and were fantastic. I have to say tho that their pool service is quite expensive for the time they spend on it. They come every week on the same day but only spend 8-10 minutes on the pool. Just sayin'. I think the chems do most of the work if you can do it yourself.

We built 2 homes here with pools. Both were done by T & D. Great company!

We interviewed four pool companies and for various reasons chose Fiesta Pools out of Ocala. Everything about them was first class. They did a terrific job and their customer service is wonderful. I called T&D today. The first available appointment was in DECEMBER!

We went to T & D in the beginning and they wouldn't even return our call. We then went through Fiesta Pools and are totally satisfied. Family owned and operated, very nice guys and willing to please!
