Major discovery in nazca peru
 

I heard about this strange discovery on Coast to Coast radio. Some archaeologists while working in Nazca, Peru. Found this in a cave. What are your thoughts on this?

What a load of baloney.

If it's a hoax how do you fake Carbon 14 dating to the 3rd century? This is a strange one. It would be an easy manicure since their are only 3 fingers to work on.

Well Gaia is a gooney "consciousness raising" site.

And this has no validity that I can find.

When you google Nazca, Peru, there is nothing about a scientific discovery.

A team composed of researchers from 5 countries concluded that the mummy of the humanoid discovered in nazca is not related to current human beings and is 2400 years old! The Global presentation will be in Lima on July 11!

Sure has a bunch of experts in many fields from all over the world looking at it. If it's a hoax it has a very high price.

I should also add it is Megabunk and Snopes who are saying it's an alien. This not mentioned in the discovery. They are saying it is just some species that is not of human origin. Those two web sites took it a step further.

I can tell you Coast to Coast will be featuring this on their stations across the country this weekend. So, it sounds like their really interested in this story. But, like most stories like this, mainstream media won't go near it. There is an expected announcement schedule for July 11 before the press in Lima, Peru. We will know more then.

This is a story from a couple of years ago. It is not related to this latest finding. Elongated skulls is a interesting topic. BTW how does one explain an elongated skull on a newborn baby? They won't go near that......

I for one am not Nieve enough to believe everything especially when come to governments. nor am I nieve enough to think we are the only high intelligence planet in the universe. Evidently most don't watch the ancient aliens on the history channel.:jester:

While I agree that the likelihood that we are alone and unique in the universe is pretty low, recent events have led me to question... whether we should be included in the "high intelligence" category. :D

Lottoguy, you should have seen my nephew after my sister-in-law had a long labor, he looked like an alien for at least a year! His head was elongated from the pressure of being in the birth canal so long. It gradually regained shape as he grew.

Well, the moment was lost in time. Anyhow. Coast to Coast is entertaining.

There actually is a lot of "serious" material on this question. On one side are theologians who say as neither Adam nor Eve were ever attached to a placenta they would not have had a navel. This biology thinking seems to be out of place in a theological discussion.

Some have taken the side that Adam had a navel because later Jesus would have a navel and that this is the image being copied. And Adam had nipples too, which certainly were not needed for his biological success. So the "fact" that Adam had nipples is not disputed supports his also having a navel as both would be features not of biology but of copying the image of God. Theology tops biology if you have faith.

so now that you have "thought about it" do you still feel the certainty that Adam did not have a navel?

Adam/Eve navels in art. Really simple explanation -- they were paintings, not photographs and subject to artistic interpretation. I doubt the people of Michelangelo's or Reuben's time would have accepted Adam and Eve without navels. And let's not forget that witches had red hair, the evil eye could ward a witch off, the plague was caused by evil spirits, not fleas. All verifiable medieval facts.

As to the Peru discovery, who knows? The sources cited certainly aren't mainstream or scientific sites. When living in SF, I'd listen to KSFO for comic relief when it changed to talk format. So glad to hear it hasn't changed. I'd be seriously surprised if there weren't other life forms in this universe, some with more advanced technology, some with less. Could they have visited and died here? Entirely possible. However, unless a living alien deigns to visit and reveal itself to the world, I doubt we will ever know for sure until we travel to the stars. Until then, it is all conjecture.

Your dismissing something before it even gets tested. Yes, it may be a hoax. But then again it might be something truly amazing. It's interesting how people go straight to SNOPES for their opinion. And I stress the word OPINION. How would they know it is fake after just 48 hours of announcing the discovery? That should tell you something. Imagine if King Tut's tomb was opened today and we are shown all of the amazing items in gold. Not doubt SNOPES would sake it's fake and photoshopped. Let's at least wait for answers on this.
