Okay, this has been going on for 70 years, even longer if you subscribe to ancient aliens theory. Now, here we are in the age of leaks and disclosures. So, I wish the ETs would just show the heck up and tell us what they want. Like Fox Mulder, I want to believe, but I'm getting impatient with the whole thing.

Most of the extraterrestrials are biding their time hiding in boy bands. They are waiting for the signal to abscond with Earth's entire inventory of our most precious resource, oysters. Just as others have said, life other than on our planet is possible, but there would be no reason to keep it a secret.

In fact with the howling Main Stream Media that would not happen.

On an August day with blue skies and plenty of sunshine at (3:00 PM) in 1969 I was on a road that cut between two state highways in Central New York hence referred to as Short Cut Road.

I noticed what I first thought was a plane but a closer look told me it was something entirely different.

In my haste I pulled my car to the left shoulder of the road and got out. In that short time the object was now hovering over a small hill and it was so large it blocked out the horizon.

I did not notice any openings nor light nor sound on this object. it was a if I were looking at the bottom of a aluminum kitchen bowl. I stood gazing at this object in complete awe

it suddenly occurred to me to reach in my car window for my camera to take a picture. In that short time and before I could focus the sight of my camera this object in a backward Z motion disappeared from view and without making a single sound .

I never repeated this story not even to my wife until 1973 and her only comment was please don't repeat this to anyone. I replied that if I had not witnessed this with my own eyes I would not have believed it either.

Occam Razor applies here but some people simply cannot wrap their minds around the concept of others occupying our universe. Indeed some reading this will discount me as less than credible and illogical and so I share this at my own peril.

Is the document real? Who knows. Could it be? Sure. However if you don't believe in life on other planets you are very naive. According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe. They've counted the galaxies in a particular region, and multiplied this up to estimate the number for the whole universe.

In just our galaxy, the Milky Way, each star is a sun or some type of burning object. If in the Milky Way galaxy one in every 100,000 starts were a sun like our sun. And if one in every 100,000 of those had planets revolving around it. And if one in every 100,000 of those plants had the capability to sustain life. In just the Milky Way galaxy there would be 100,000 plants with life.

Now maybe that life is a million years behind us and still a probe or a germ of some type of life form, or maybe it's a million years more advanced than ours. But if just one of those planets had life like ours and was maybe 10,000 years advanced from us could they travel here? Probably.

Multiply that possibility by 100 billion galaxies. There has to be other life out there more advanced than us. Statistically it's not possible there is not life on other planets.

I have a very similar story that I never told anybody. I still get goose bumps when I think about it. I was with 3 other Troopers, and we all saw the same thing, and agreed not to talk about it to anyone. Made me a believer.:22yikes:

This document is very controversial. And you can see why. Those who call it a hoax can only point to the date formulation and Truman's signature. They say his signature is by autopen or was pasted on the document. It's just their theory. And a weak one. The date some say is not the way the government would use. But this too was proven to be a wrong. As other dates on government docs were the same.

There is one study that says 70% believe that UFO's are real. And 50% of them believe the government is hiding the truth. Google "world war 2 foo fighters" for another example of their existence.

I do believe that we are not alone in the Universe and have come into contact but there are a lot of people out here who will take advantage of people as much as possible. So it is better to really dig into these subjects even if some people in the government also often want to hide things especially if it makes them look bad.

People who see these things do not want to be called a fool or nutcase. There are also documents showing how the government uses that to discredit witnesses. Every week NASA finds more habitable planets. It's only a matter of time before people realize the truth about them.

Wikipedia is not to be trusted for reputable information. Even colleges don't accept their input. Their always short on the most important points.

BUT WHY would ANY government want to hide any information about any visit from any thing or person from outside our known world? What would be the point? That isn't logical.

I suggest you read the book "A D After Disclosure" by Richard Dolan and Bryce Zabel. This book goes into great detail as to why the truth embargo has been in place since the 1940's. Two quick reasons are the effect on our religious beliefs and our current energy needs. Let's face it, UFO's are not getting here on unleaded gasoline and a can of Redbull. They are using alternative energy. Energy that would mean no need for fossil fuels. Then people will start to look at the wars fought over oil. They would never have been necessary if this new fuel source had been available all these years. Think of all the lives lost and other costs that could have been prevented. A giant can of worms right now is closed. But, when opened, watch out.

They have actually upped their estimates to from 500 billion to 1 trillion galaxies with an average of 400 billion stars each. If you plug that into the Drake equation, there could be upwards of 40 TRILLION civilizations as advanced or more so than us out there. However, given the distances, you need to travel many times faster than light to get anywhere, so Einstein has to be wrong, or there have to be wormholes or the ability to artificially create them, or warp drive, or hyperspatial travel, or something. Add to that our location in our galaxy and in the universe as a whole is somewhat less than prominent, it's hard to believe any of them have ever visited us-----they would have 40 trillion other destinations, most of them probably more interesting than Earth.

A few hundred years ago it took you months to circle the globe. Then a little quicker by balloon. Then a little faster by airplane. The faster by commercial jet. Then in only 90 minutes via the space shuttle. All this speed in just a couple of hundred years. Now imagine an advanced civilization somewhere in the galaxy thousands or millions of years ahead of on Earth?
The speed of light is often mentioned when it comes to interstellar space travel. But we have only learned about that in just the last century or so. We have so much to learn. Wormholes are a possibility to shortcut the distances. So is folding space and time much like folding a piece of paper to short the distance between two points.

Just the advancement of technology in my few short years on this planet, I believe anything to be possible. In fact we have advanced to the point that it's possible that we could very well destroy ourselves and our planet too. As far as ET'S are concerned, common sense tells me that if they are real and pay a visit to our planet, we (all of us) will undoubtedly know about it. Fore!

The aliens that landed here and survived are living with big foot out in the woods somewhere. They have a magnetic shield of sorts that prevents all the big foot followers from taking clear photos. Their way of thanking big foot for taking them in was to give him a similar shield thus no clear photos of him either. If they would not have had that technology we would have seen hundreds if not thousands of photos of both big foot and the aliens. Darn.

you want an answer to your question Just go back and review some of the responses by posters. also consider the fact that if Roswell was a reality the advantage given the USA viv a vis other nations as to the advances in technologies, consider the concern by many citizens.

I locked my observation down tightly to conclude I did not know exactly what I was observing. I asked myself, why would they fly down and allow me such a good view? why did they not try and approach me? why did they not want me to photograph them? This was a bright sunny day with hardly a cloud in the sky and the sun hit that metal object and caught me eye. This vehicle could have simply moved on why did they drop down to just above this hill?

When they saw me reach in for my camera before I could raise it to my eye in a Z motion starting at the bottom of the z going right then straight up and then a zag to the left they were gone.

there is not to my knowledge any vehicle that can move that quickly and quietly even today..unless of course the military is hiding it.

There is a very good reason the government kept this a secret. Remember the time this happened. Also recall a radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" and the absolute panic it caused when a few folks didn't realize it was a show. Just imagine the panic if they had not kept it a secret. Also remember the timing in history. This was just after our first nukes were dropped.

Do you suppose that this caused those folks from other planets to say "just what is going on down there? And how advanced are they? Lets check them out."

I think our planet has been subjected to stress about equal to finding an extraterrestrial in the last year. At least this country is more divided and angry than it has been in my lifetime. I don't accept that as a plausible reason.

Both you and Rubicon, one of you we know personally, are people I respect very much, and would leave our house keys with and trust in all ways.

I don't think the government would keep proof of aliens from us.

I don't know GG, I think the revelation of proof of extraterrestrial visitation would be so disruptive to our religious institutions and social order that it probably would need to be kept secret, at least until society could acclimate to the possibility. Hollywood and the media have been producing movies that do this for 70 years, both good and bad aliens. I'm at a point that I would not be surprised if an alien ship landed in my backyard. When enough people feel the same way, maybe we'll have a big revelation, maybe not.

There are about a zillion things about our ancient history that we don't know, and I'm pretty convinced that the timeline of man's activity on this planet is flat out wrong. Why does that Hawasi guy continue to insist the great pyramid was built as a tomb for Khufu over a 20 year span around 2470 BC? It fit the traditional timeline of man just starting to form permanent settlements and switching from hunter-gatherers to agrarian settlements around 4-5000 BC. However, discovery of megalithic sites such as Gobeckli Teppe dating to 12,000 BC should pretty much dispel the traditional timeline, but so far it hasn't.

The ancient alien theorists can spin a lot of evidence and mysteries to make their case, but none of it is anywhere near conclusive. My main problem with it is threefold:

1) You have to be able to travel much faster than light, and then find us at a time that we had no electromagnetic footprint to follow

2) With all their advanced knowledge and technology, which would included extensive knowledge of material sciences, why would they choose to build structures out of 50 ton slabs of stone? I doubt they built their spaceships out of stone.

3) We are asked to believe that an alien race that can navigate the stars at FTL speeds, avoid stars, planets, nebulae, black holes and God knows what else, would come to Earth and have dozens of UFO crashes, a safety record worse than US Air.

The testing of the atomic bomb and the like could have drawn their attention as another poster pointed out. And they may be studying us by taking samples rather often of our DNA and the like.

Who knows about the pyramids and the like. Better to just train some of the ancient Egyptians in this science and then leave. But why? They would probably have ten thousand year plans or more though if they are very advanced.

This is why I post these subjects. To open the closed minds that are out there. And enjoy good conversation. Here is one to ponder. Why are the pyramids not mentioned anywhere in the Bible? Surely they knew about them in that period. Giza is about 270 miles to Jerusalem.
