Anticipated $.25 per gallon increase coming soon.
|
In Illinois gas prices have gone up in certain communities from .25 to .40 a gallon from what they were prior to Harvey.
|
Yep it was on the news tonight that there was going to be a big jump in gas prices because of the problems in and around TX.
That is what no doubt started the "stampede". So the thinking is to get this cheap tank of gas NOW and then what? As long as they have gas we will pay the price; the past has proven the point. Remember those almost $5 per gallon days.....$100 fill ups? |
Yep. Also remember gas for $0.25!

Remember gas wars of the 50's? The lowest price I can remember is 18.9 in a so called gas war in the middle 50's.

Time to use the Golf Cart more. How lucky are we to have that to fall back on.

Welcome....

Hope we never have to see the "even/odd" days again.

Oh People...........a little too much drama.
Gas prices will increase less than $0.75 for a couple of months. Do a little research and you will be happier than reading the drama on ToTV. There are millions of people hurting in Texas, don't focus on the cost of gas in TV. :ohdear: |
Reminiscing.

They had gas about an hour ago. I got some.

So the sky is not falling.
That was close. |
I just heard that the oil refinery in Humble shut down. They normally produce 3 million barrels a day which is about 16% of all the oil consumed in the US. Expect gas prices to go up soon. I'm thankful that I'm not longer in the northeast where home heating oil is sure to go way up this winter.

I remember $.25 a gallon and a free glass with a fill up of 8 gallons or more. I'm getting old.
|
I remember that, too --19 cents/gal. in Plainfield, NJ, in 1955 -- for my first car, a '47 Plymouth Club Coupe.
