He just doesn't grasp that when you are the leader of a country, your job is to inspire, to commiserate, to lend hope to those in need. Crowd size? You've got to be kidding. As others, have said, WHY? Why, because he is a narcissist. Same reason he tries to brag about the size of his inauguration crowd (which was smaller than Obama's), and his pen-is size during the debates. I think it is worth noting, that he was not speaking to flood victims, he was speaking to a small group of supporters that had somehow snuck under the ropes and got near him. That probably explains the I love you remark.

Typically a president will wear a firefighter, policeman or military cap when doing this kind of stuff. This tool wears a white cap with his presidential position number on it's side. Are we to be surprised ?
