As the majority shifts I fear we will witness more of these types of attempts at erasing the culture of our country.

These kinds of issues have been around since the founding of our country, so why are we now seeing the movements against historical events/monuments/names of significance
across the country?

Because the mix that is America has been drastically changing. Facilitated and supported by those who would have a less free country than we have had and still enjoy.....for now.

Could the result be another civil war of sorts? Will the dwindling majority finally stand up and state enough is enough?

We can only hope and that it won't be too late.

From #1 and 90% white...to current day #25 and 49% white. It's causation. There isn't a top 25 country in the world that is anything but Asian/white.

If we become Mexico II it'll have nothing to do with our ethnic mix, it'll have to do with the scumbag bankers and industrialists that have moved our jobs overseas so as to line there greedy pockets. It'll have EVERYTHING to do with it. The border counties and increasingly the entire border states and becoming more and more Hispanic and more and more like Mexico.

Ask the over-trained and over-educated white guys about affirmative action and quotas. America is coming apart but not because of racial make-up, it is economics. The last 20 years or more have change us so hard work won't get you ahead in many or even most cases. The real money and biggest increases is in unearned income like the stock market. Money makes money not work. Yes you do need money making money as it drives capitalism but the balance between earned and unearned has skewed badly. Share holder value has rocketed by moving manufacturing out of country eliminating earned income here but maximizing shareholder holder value. Look at what is going on with market now during worst natural disaster this country has ever seen. Salivating over a tax cut that will produce very few good paying jobs and deficiet spending but give a big boost to unearned income. We will be seeing a very hard landing, I believe sooner then later. IMHO.

It's more gratifying to kick around a scapegoat than address the real problem of which there is no solution. The powers that be will do what they do and force a deflection to race as the primary cause. Only a revolution on the magnitude of 1917 will force real change. But alas, the sheeple have their toys to pacify themselves and nothing will change for the better.

Corruption aside because it COMES with every government...is Chicago BETTER now...for your granddaughter...than it was...lets say in the 1950s? Has diversity made Chicago a better place. A safer place. A friendlier place?

Why do you think the villages advertises "Friendliest"? Because in mixed...diverse...neighborhoods...nobody is very friendly. What do we have in common with a black? What does a black have in common with a Mexican? A Mexican with us? Nothing. No common culture. Different values. It's why diverse neighbors don't talk...nothing to talk about.

The villages is what it is BECAUSE it's filled with successful, affluent, white people with common interests and values. Sports and nice neighborhoods.
