Reporting/tracking Irma power outages

SECO is currently showing a little over 1900 outages in Sumter Co.

Everything's running smoothly so far for us in Summerhill.

Bjeanj 09-10-2017 07:31 PM

Fine in Santiago.

Hemingway fine. Street lights on on 466A.

coffeebean 09-10-2017 09:02 PM

10:00pm - Have power in Mallory Square.

Halibut 09-10-2017 09:03 PM

Summerhill: Getting brief blips -- electricity goes out, then it cycles back on in a couple of seconds.

mixsonci 09-10-2017 09:04 PM

OK so far in Collier, but lights are flickering a bit

John_W 09-10-2017 09:07 PM

Power went out 3 times at 2 minute intervals about 3 seconds each time in Tamarind Grove off St. Charles Blvd.

NECHFalcon68 09-10-2017 09:08 PM

Just started to flicker in Buttonwood.

2CopsMom 09-10-2017 09:10 PM

Thanks for the updates. We are watching from Kentucky. We have friends and property down there.
Stay safe and God bless!

Halibut 09-10-2017 10:41 PM

Summerhill: power out 10+ minutes now

Soxman 09-10-2017 10:49 PM

Occasional flickering in Charlotte

patfla06 09-10-2017 11:05 PM

So far so good in Gilchrist.

paulascorpio 09-10-2017 11:05 PM

We have power in Pinellas..... in an hour/half expecting the eye with very strong winds. Hope the power holds on!

John_W 09-11-2017 12:11 AM

Florida now has 4.3 million customers without power. Sumter County has the lowest numbers compared to all the other counties in the Orlando viewing area. One reason is probably because so much of TV was built with underground utilities. If you go to the SECO outage map many homes in Wildwood and Fruitland Park have no power, but yet TV have almost no outages. The counties around us like Marion and Lake are reporting 50,000 to 100,000 or more without power.

Anyone know about Sabal Chase?

Henryk 09-11-2017 02:00 AM

Hadley 9/11/2017 2:55 a.m. Lights blinked three times; modem and router re-booted.

Ragman 09-11-2017 03:24 AM

 in Buttonwood

Only lost Direct TV signal at about 2:30 and it goes off all the time in a thunderstorm.

blf130 09-11-2017 03:28 AM

Power in creekside landing

ednetdl 09-11-2017 03:29 AM

Ragman, one of my concerns from afar was my DirectTV dish on the roof. Hoping it was not ripped off and took part of roof with it. Hoping everyone in TV stays safe and sound with minimal damage to property!

Neighbors dish on the roof with an eastern exposure is fine. Mine is ground mounted in a corner.

lewie 09-11-2017 03:38 AM

Any word on the Village of Sanibel?

ednetdl 09-11-2017 03:40 AM

Thanks Ragman, hopefully they are good and sturdy

coffeebean 09-11-2017 05:30 AM

No loss of power here

Woke up this morning at 6:15 and discovered we have not had an interruption of electrical power.

OK, everyone.....start reporting in.

LAshby50 09-11-2017 05:36 AM

I live in Sanibel on Fenwick Loop on the large retention pond facing Charlotte Court. The water from the pond is almost in the lanai. Our street is in 3 ft of water. So not driveable. Woke up at 4am to check and was surprised by the rise in water levels. Waiting for sunrise. No water in house yet.

LAshby50 09-11-2017 05:38 AM

Still have power

In Sanibel almost surrounded by water but still have power.

nova12 09-11-2017 06:05 AM

teseross 09-11-2017 06:09 AM

Anyone in Hadley? How'd we make out?

New Englander 09-11-2017 08:58 AM

Anyone in Pinellas? My home is in the Perdido Villas and I'm concerned.

Twodogs 09-11-2017 09:05 AM

We have downed leaves but not trees. Even our new Crepe Myrtle trees, planted 3 weeks ago, look fine.

Aloha1 09-11-2017 10:51 AM

No joy in Pine Ridge. Power out since 9:24 PM last night. Leesburg Electric says no crews will go out until it's safe and they only have 13 crews for 23,000 customer outages.

Arctic Fox 09-11-2017 11:43 AM

power still off in De La Vista (Tierra)
