KUDOS to the POWER CO.!!!

Wow! rode thru the entire storm time (so far) with NOT A BLINK OF LOST ELECTRICITY!

We are in Gilchrist/Sumter Co and have SECO. Expecting the worst, but - phew for now.

Same kudos so far for our TV builder - only isses as of now, a bit of rain water seeped into front bedroom (took the brunt of the wind-driven rain--- and a ton of that) Did not come in thru windows but under the wall into carpeting. Extends in about 6" for about 8' wide. Perhaps leached in from above the concrete slab and under the first layer of block...).

And a few smaller trees dumped over from winds. Other than not- and not been out yet... phew.

Hope everyone here fared as well....

I have a house near Spanish Springs, but I live in upstate NY.

Glad to hear this.

hoopsterdad 09-11-2017 06:32 AM

FMF Doc 09-11-2017 06:34 AM

Same here in Lynnhaven. Some very heavy wind gusts right now and we had some flickering of lights last night but everything still works.

russtcc 09-11-2017 06:46 AM

Spent 2 weeks in Houston without electricity due to Hurricane Ike. This is fantastic we have power.

socrafty 09-11-2017 06:48 AM

Aloha1 09-11-2017 06:58 AM

golf2140 09-11-2017 07:06 AM

ColdNoMore 09-11-2017 07:35 AM

Still having electricity is a huge sigh of relief.

Power still out on Chula Vista?

Mudder 09-11-2017 07:59 AM

No power in Chula Vista area, out since about 4 am. Wind still very very strong. But at least our big trees are still standing. It's a mess outside tho, branches and leaves all over the place!

BeetleBailey 09-11-2017 10:19 AM

Huge Shout for SECO Electric!

14 years in The Villages, and words cannot express our sincere appreciation to SECO for the excellent service they have provided. Thank you SECO!

I'm happy I got power back before I lost all the stuff in my freezer. Kudos to Kitchen Aid

ficoguy 09-12-2017 04:49 PM

Leesburg Electric no kudos. Power was out 21 hours. Finger pointing at Duke was their response
Hate to see what happens with a category 2. This was a baby storm

pooh 09-12-2017 05:38 PM

We have SECO, power stayed on....first time in any hurricane I've been in. Some power stations have been damaged.....not sure which companies, and they will have to be rebuilt. Going to make it difficult for many, including those who are working tirelessly to get everything up and working. It's hard to be patient when you have no power....remember, those working to help you may be in the same situation at their house.

Power Back On

Our house in Rio Ponderosa has power again.

Congratulations, what power company, how widespread was the outage?

pauld315 09-12-2017 07:18 PM

It wasn't only SECO, the northern part of TV is serviced by Duke Energy and our neighborhood never lost power. Our house had no water intrusion and only lost a few shingles. Kudos to all
