I have been witness to PLENTY of examples of poor driving (car or golf cart) throughout the whole summer. I thought snow birds came down during the late fall/winter? Ever consider that maybe, just maybe, this is an example of a full time resident who should not have the privilege of driving any longer? Or could it be an inexperienced driver? How about (gasp) one of the "entitled" who live here and feel they can do whatever they want whenever they want?

If you are going to blanket blame the negatives on the snowbirds, are you also thanking them for paying amenity fees for services they don't use as often as a full time resident? How about thanking them for spending money supporting the businesses here so a full time resident doesn't have to pay much more for goods and services?

Good grief!

I don't doubt that it happens but it is a stretch to say that THIS owner is a Snowbird because SOME people claim homestead. IT is about time to stop beating down on seasonal residents who pay fees all year long while occupying their homes for 1/4 of the year.

Get used to it Joe it happens every year. Thankfully, the majority of residents appreciate their seasonal neupighbors.

Give these full timers a break. Some of these old folks are over 70 and still dragging their carcass behind the wheel.

You may, IF you are lucky, live to be one of us old folks over 70 dragging YOUR carcass behind you.:pepper2:

I sure hope so. I also hope no one will care if I park bad or roll through stop signs with my cart, or even after I forget about turn signals completely. It is a fact that over 70 means slow thinking, so let's lower speed limits and stop trying to get us old farts to drive like professional race car drivers. :pepper2:

A great thread! In less than two pages we managed to air out bad parkers, old people speeders, 70 year old drivers, blame the snowbirds, rolling stops, no turn signals, retired cops, and an apparent miscreant neighbor. That's my fill for the month. Now back to enjoying all the good things that surround us and are provided for our enjoyment.:024:

its seems that bad parking comes up more when the snowbirds start flying in? why. Parking is at premium during this time. IMO it had nothing to do with snowbirds, Actually, IMO it's worse during the slow season. We can talk about it, take pictures of it, cry for law enforcement, But bottom line it will always be problem. So, if we finely narrow it down and that one car out of 10,000 parks bad. WE HAVE BAD PARKING Still!:loco:
