Why is it that intelligent thinking people have to revert to expletives in order to express themselves? Do they really believe that expletives have more power than civil conversation.

Its like that old saying of "you are yelling so loudly that I can't hear you."

speaking is about using words that gain the positive attention of the listener.

Expletives mean the speaker has no filter.

Expletives mean the listener views them like its static interference and annoys rather than invites listening

Using expletives tells the listener right off that I could care less.

And then the listener should submit to the speaker then why bother to speak at all?

That I guess because I posted about the loss of our beloved Pepe during the time that gtandfinch lost his furry one. I did not think much of it, and even did some searches to help grace to find busters owners (grandfinch). Now after reading this, although I see no connection to me personally, I can see a possible very evil minded person in grace. I like and respect Graciegirl but she does mis-step once in a while as I do as well. I have not met her yet though. I have met many of the Regulars on Talk of the Villages however at least those who came to the Crispers' meetings in 2007 through 2010 or so.

And there are people in here who used a different name before and then show up with a new one. It is hard to tell who is who though.

“I think there is an easy answer to this. Gracie posted the meanest in 2008-2009-2010. There were different administrators then. They were constantly deleting her posts and she would get mad and quit. Everyone would be happy but she could only stay off a day as she is so addicted. They banned her a couple times. I think her meanest posts were deleted.
The administrators now have a very good handle on posts and her nastiness is not showing or when it does, it is aimed at just certain people like Mickey100 Also it is in a very passive aggressive way.”

Wow, some of you seem to have it in for one of the female posters. I did not realize that vulgar language was allowed a pass on a forum down there in The Villages.
