How many people are at the new Walmart grand opening?

By safe I have to guess you mean not crowded. As to how many go you can not get a legitimate estimate from a post here so it being safe at Colony will be chancy at best.

Mike was in the area this morning and said the parking lot at Walmart was full....I asked him about Colony and he didn’t really look....rats because I was wondering the same thing....:laugh:

You have waited this long, why go now with the crowds? The “newness” will wear off in a few days. Then it will be safe. Whatever that is all about.

We just got back. Lots of people, but parking spaces available. Long lines for checking out, but they seemed to go fast. No negative vibes for me. I’m glad I don’t have to go to Buffalo Ridge now.

But, was it safe??

We stopped by late afternoon...got gas (no lines or waiting) then parked and went in the store to pick up a few items. It was pretty busy but we got in the self-service line to check out with no issues. I think it might be a busy store for awhile but choose your times and it will be fine.

My fur babies and I took a cart ride this afternoon and drove through the FULL parking lot; unleaded was $2.44.

Had lunch at Bob Evans on Thursday, place wasn't crowded at all, no waiting to be seated. Had lunch Friday at McDonalds, place was packed as usual. What really hurt them was the PDQ lot before it was built was a great place for landscapers to park. There was one landscaper yesterday with his big truck and trailer blocking the back exit. It looks like PDQ didn't take away any of their business, in fact that place is usually empty.
