Trump Disrespects the Flag and the Military
Trump was being interviewed by Sean Hannity when retreat sounded. During retreat, everyone is expected to stand at attention and face the flag. Even I know that because I was at a driving range near Peterson AFB, in Colorado Springs, in the parking lot. Another man was there putting his clubs into the trunk. Retreat sounded, he stopped, went to attention and stood ramrod straight until retreat was finished.
Watch the different reactions to retreat Unlike Donald Trump, Robin Williams knew what to do during the military 'retreat' The Poke However, to me, the worse part was when Trump heard the bugle he said it was a nice sound and they must be playing it for Hannity because his ratings were up and then that economic growth was going up as well! Also, check out the faithful Trump crowd who also disrespected the flag and the military. COPUFF...... |

He disrespects the Oval Office, almost on a daily basis. He has disrespected our judicial system. He has disrespected our intelligence system. He disrespects our electoral system; actually calling for a senator to resign because he disagrees with Trump (forgetting these senators are elected within their own state) or by claiming illegal voting. He has also disrespected our military by personally demeaning a war hero AND a Good Star family. Can you even imagine the reaction if ANY past President came even close to doing what he has done. Speaking of doing things....almost one year if this presidency, and not one legislative victory, and he is basically just signing executive orders to "study" things. This is simply the most phoney patriot of all time. He is more anti American. |

Fox News CEO Admits That The Network Is Not In The News Business | News Corpse Hillary is NOT now nor will she ever be the President of the United States. We are talking about the President who sent the Vice President cross county to walk into the NFL game in Indy. Just to wait for the NFL players to take a knee and have the VP walkout in protest. And all you got is Hillary? Be Serious, we are not in grade school anymore. COPUFF |

Now if you were asking a more obtuse question like did I support her for President? I wholeheartedly supported her the first time she ran. But she did not get the nomination. This time I did not want her to run but a Republican I could vote for was not running. I'm thinking that should do it! COPUFF |
Did you drop your crack pipe before or after you posted this? How sick and little you must be as a person to come up with an idea like this. Imagine if you were not such a distraction and your head popped out of your butt and you got with the program. Get ready for at least another 7 plus years of this. It's gonna be rough on you. I understand. Take another puff.

I did not belittle the President or Mr. Hannity but then one of your friends insulted my intellect. So I tried to answer the question perhaps he was asking...Did I support Hillary for President in this election, that answer simply is no. I did NOT want her to run but the train was already fired up and it roared out of the station. Did I vote for her, of course! I am sorry if I used words that you didn't understand, but that is no reason to hurl insults like a schoolyard bully! I have never done recreational drugs and I did not support the legalization of marijuana in Colorado. I voted NO! But I must say it has worked out quite well for our schools. All the money generated from the sale of those products goes to funding Colorado schools. (They are heavily taxed) Men are so thin skinned... COPUFF |

Remember, there was a book written accusing Hillary Clinton of killing Vince Foster. I remember it, sold a lot of copies, no proof just conjecture! COPUFF |

After he had repeatedly railed against professional athletes over perceived slights to the American flag and military, President Trump joked on Wednesday about a bugle call that is part of the armed forces’ time-honored tradition of showing respect for the Stars and Stripes.
The bugle call occurred during Trump’s interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, conducted in an airplane hangar used by the Pennsylvania Air National Guard in Harrisburg and before the president’s address on tax revision. “What a nice sound that is. Are they playing that for you or for me?” Trump said before turning to the audience. “They’re playing that in honor of his ratings,” he added, referencing the popularity of Hannity’s news program. [President Trump has made 1,318 false or misleading claims over 263 days] Trump went back to speaking about economic growth as several audience members behind him stood up. The bugle call was “Retreat,” which signifies the lowering of the American flag on a military installation. Although Trump attended a military high school, the commander in chief appeared unaware of the music’s meaning. Trump rips the NFL for disrespecting the flag. Then he jokes about a military flag ceremony. - The Washington Post |

We wouldn't? HOW do you KNOW? A laughingstock like we were when we elected a black? EVERYTHING must be shipped to PR. The ports must be made operational before the ships can arrive. That's the breaks when you live on an island. It's NOT a state...it's a territory...BIG difference. How do you know? How do you know? NO child goes hungry in America...unless his mother is taking his/her SNAP benefits and spending it on partying. Kids get 2 free meals a day at school. I could go on.... |
The thread is specifically about the President disrespecting our flag and military traditions.
This is not about preferences, but about the single most phoney patriot that ever existed. Trump disrespects, not only the flag and military but so much of what makes this country great. How someone who says he studies the military, attended a military school, is a President who spewed his phony patriotism, could be so disrespectful sort of is baffling. To demean the use of a freedom to demonstrate peacefully, and then do this, about 24 hours after saying there should be no free press is truely unamerican and objectionable. |

Colorado legalized marijuana, not cocaine or crack which requires a pipe. My screen name here since 2008, is cologal, but recently some people have used drug terms like stoner and crack-headed as insults. I believe it is best to embrace those types of things rather than resist them so I now sign everything at the bottom as COPUFF |
AGAIN, this thread is about the President of the United States, not an athlete, not a common citizen disrespecting the flag and our military traditions. Same person who from the oval office said he thought free speech was "disgusting"
NFL or anyone has ever gone that far in showing vile disrespect for our country. |
The way the thread has veered off into who knows where and devolved into an all too often pi$$ing contest for a couple of participants.

And it appears that nobody cares. I say again...the Republican party stands for NOTHING AT ALL and they used to...... PEOPLE who feel this is unimportant continue to talk as if they were proud Americans....patriots..... They allow a sitting President to do this publicly for the entire world to see and think nothing of it. Dont tell me that we are not at a crisis point in this country. |

Best line on this forum so far from someone you all seem to enjoy kicking around and beating up with your unkind remarks. |

We have a thread with no "fake news" as anything bad about Trump is called, showing his disrespect for free speech, the flag and military traditions, and this becomes a race to completely avoid the subject. His stupidity and hypocritical stand on the NFL is mentioned on here and the main board as if it has any lasting effect. You ignore the ethics complaints, the money being raked in behind our backs by the Trump family, the hypocrisy of usung private computers, his demeaning comments about a disaster area, and so much more... Ignoring all this especially his trashing of free speech and on national tv dishonring our flag and tradition sort of puts you in a certain niche |

Carry on your all doing a great job straightening out our country. I can feel the difference already. Last time I checked, the President is Republican, both the Senate and the House of Representatives are controlled by Republicans! My party is totally out of power..... but the difference is obvious! And why do you continue to try and label me or put me in a group? What is that all about? |
Quote:
Most times, those who are praised by your group, or if you prefer, folks with like minds, you get from folks who are then praised for their substantive post is a rant that will say "all progressives this" or liberals are this or that. Followed by compliments for being so into issues. I have tried to begin conversations over the past year on Syria, foreign relations, ISIS only to immediately turn into OBama bashing, or Clinton bashing. Trump is the President. You begin a thread showing me even one attempt at uniting the country, but if you are fair, you must include the divisive comments. He is the leader...he is supposed to try but he does the opposite. Protestors, whomever they are are not "sons of bitches". People with brown shirts marching in the name of Nazi' do not have good people. It IS all about Trump. HE IS the President...he sets the tone, and he has. When the President of the United States talks, it should be measured as the entire world will hear every word he says and react. When he accuses his predecessor of wiretapping him, the world listens, when he engages in teen rhetoric with North Korea, the world listens and worries. He is not in a campaign and hasn't been for a year, yet he continues to mock anyone who disagrees with him. He recently called for the resignation of a duly elected US senator (Corker) who happens to head our Foreign Relations because he disagrees, and the President gets support on her for that. I suppose the term loyal opposition is archaic now, or actually any opposition. He has had many opportunities to at least try . His behavior with the Boy Scouts was beyond deplorable. How can a political forum avoid this kind of behavior ? In addition, as a long standing (original member) of the political forum, threads begun about OBama, many from me were certainly met with resistance, but factual or reasoned discussion....not, the media is lying (even in the face of video or exact quotes). Seems you have given total rein to Trump to pick and choose what is truth. You have to someday come to terms with the fact that he WANTS to control the media and thus his followers. When he says he finds free speech disgusting, and he did, or does what he did with our military and the flag just the other day, that is news. OR would be with any other President, but on this forum, it is ignored. My bottom line is, if the only answer avaialable is the media lies (WITH NEVER SUBSTANTION) or some diatribe on Clinton or OBama then you are simply avoiding facts. Have you, in your life, ever heard any other President mouth the false, mean spirited, self serving things that come from our WH ? Actually, you know business....how long would a CEO last talking as he does ? Not long for sure. This is not a television show. The world listens and they react. There is a reason that over 70% of our own citizens feel he is mentally unfit for office. How can his actions. Lies, accusations from our Oval Office NOT BE discussed ? There is no defense of him, thus there is no discussion as the subject is changed. I am tired of the "media lies"...each time I see that, and this includes you, I ask for examples and never ever get one. I am speaking of news, not commentary. Having a President so unstable, he sees fit to PERSONALLY attack anyone who disagrees is unnerving and worthy of discussion. Oh, if I labeled you, I am truely sorry because I hate labeling, but only react to your support for people who are simply trolls or filthy mouthed posters. I say SUPPORT, because you suppress your criticisms of them, actually praise the labeling of some who simply chant..."all progressives bad" or refer to them as a libtard. I used to be a Republican, but from here I have no idea what the Republican Party stands for,. It is surely not morals, standard, small government, lack of government intervention as it used to be, and it appears from the "discussion" on here they are simply anti anything or anybody who even hints at disagreement with the President. |

You gotta admit he is a piece of work. Let him do his thing and if their is a country still here we may be better off. I wouldn't take any **** from these nuclear countries either. Screw those countries let's do this right now and get it straightened out now. Gonna go, time for the tic medicine. Hey Chi, when I congratulated you on the Cubs win last year it was a tic, I was lying because they suck. Smile it's just a joke. :1rotfl::1rotfl: Go Yankees. |
