It Takes a Village to Gag a Bully.
 

Bullies should not be coddled but shouted down.

It is more complicated in various situations in which a bullied kid in school might turn to violence to get back at his tormentors.

But we are dealing with Seniors or other Villagers or want-to-be Villagers sitting at the computers.

We can do better than what is on Talk of the Villages' Political Forum.

Bullies should not scare other posters away.

And the ladies shouldn't be shouting down the truth either.

It goes both ways Tal.

And don't forget the bullies where ever they lurk are the minority group.....far out numbered by the majority of us who have learned to not be intimidated by words.
And who know most bullies do their best anonymously or incognito.... what ever constitutes best.

The only thing bullies have going for them is that they are discussed, unfortunately, as though they were a general, effective entity.

They are not. And they know it.

Mine is the typical story of its time. confronted with a playground bully don't go home and complain because your Dad would turn you around and demand you knock the bully on his hindquarters. I did and I did.

Today its often internet bullies and the best choice is a lasting commitment to the Ignore List. a village should not be taking a bully down that's called a lynch mob
