Family values are neither Democrat or Republican and while they have an undertone of religious teachings they are not necessarily only practiced by people of faith. Customs which are laws and the practice of civility in living are handed down from one generation to the next.

Those who claim family values and act otherwise are simply hypocrites, deceivers, and what they do under the guise of an association with any group has nothing in common as to whom they make claim.

Family values have been under assault by people whose intentions and actions are obvious and harmful to this nation's existence.

I am Catholic and I condemn those pedophiles and those who covered up their vile acts and not the church as a whole because I separate God's message from the frailty of mortal men. God is much more than the church

The minorities ARE taking over...they WILL be 80% of the population in 30 years. THEIR "values" are what we'll soon be living under...watch BET, watch Univision to see Americas future...visit an inner city neighborhood, visit a minority majority school to see America's future.

We are f@cked...America is f@cked...

That is true.

We really need our religious institutions in times like this. Especially when their leaders can think critically and speak out. The current Pope is a wonderful change for the Catholic Church.

The ONLY way the Catholic church and the Pope are going to save anything is to declare a crusade and take back America/Europe from the black/brown onslaught.

The PROBLEM is white people...the smart "humans"...the TRUE "sapiens"...are being bred out...and as a consequence...the "civilization" that we bring/brought to the world is declining.

As well as he knows his Bible, Roy Moore never quotes from the more than 2,000 verses that exhort us to care for the poor, the sick, and the stranger in our midst. He has apparently overlooked the prophet Isaiah, who said to men like Moore in his own day: “Doom to you who legislate evil, who make laws that make victims — laws that make misery for the poor, that rob the destitute of their dignity, exploiting defenseless widows, taking advantage of homeless children” (Is.10:1-4).

It's funny how two versions of the SAME "book" can be so different...

Submitted for you perusal the MSG and KJV of the SAME Is.10:1-4:

Isaiah 10The Message (MSG)
You Who Legislate Evil

10 1-4 Doom to you who legislate evil,
who make laws that make victims—

Laws that make misery for the poor,
that rob my destitute people of dignity,
Exploiting defenseless widows,
taking advantage of homeless children.
What will you have to say on Judgment Day,
when Doomsday arrives out of the blue?
Who will you get to help you?
What good will your money do you?
A sorry sight you’ll be then, huddled with the prisoners,
or just some corpses stacked in the street.
Even after all this, God is still angry,
his fist still raised, ready to hit them again.

And KJV:

Isaiah 10King James Version (KJV)

10 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

You mean a drug USER war between different herds? Different tribes? And WHY ARE they disadvantaged? Because THEY have the DISADVANTAGE of NOT being "fully human" because they LACK critical ancestors that distinguish "us"...EVERY other race...and them? They are disadvantaged because they're not as smart? Not as motivated? Have no ambition? WHAT disadvantage DO THEY HAVE other than themselves? They get first crack at everything. They get quotas that lets them come in 15th place and get promoted to 3rd and a trophy ONLY because of the color of their skin.

Yes...it COULD be people of any race...but it ISN'T...it's ALWAYS the blacks the low of the low. THE most violent wherever they live.

Yes again...but NOT any more. EVERYONE else rose above the discrimination by PROVING they were as good. WHY CAN'T the blacks do the same? Why can't they prove themselves as equals? Because they are INCAPABLE of self governance, self rule, self determination. Look what happened when the blacks are given the keys to the country...it turns into sh!t...ALWAYS...every single time. There is not one successful black country.

I don't like them because I've seen too many MLK Blvds...I've SEEN the 99% and I want as far away as I can get.

What? You think Jews aren't white?

Were there any gays? Or were they killed because of their behavior right along with the pedophiles? Jesus never said anything about them either...should we allow that too? Condone it? Encourage it? Because that is what you're doing with gays.

Jesus was on the road...preaching...he didn't have time for a wife...besides...he was getting the milk for free...he had Mary.

Correction...they hung out with HIM...not the other way around.

Do you EVER get ANYTHING right?

I'm not even a believer...I think it's all made up bullsh!t from the mind of Saul (Paul). He created Jesus. Jesus is a "best of" amalgamation of several of the Prophets of the day. Look at what Paul did...the GREATEST con ever...he got how many billions of people believing his story? Though Muhammad is closing in with his Islam farce. "God talked to me! Told me how YOU must live...under my direction. Now...where are my concubines?"

Would love to talk about issues....start a thread

I think a thread on FAMILY VALUES should begin with an examination of our leaders

Rockyrd 11-19-2017 02:37 PM

Rubicon said "family values" are neither Democrat or Republican.

I agree.

Seems not everybody is on board

Amid a growing number of sexual harassment allegations against Roy Moore, White House officials tried to walk a fine line — acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations without outright calling for the Republican Senate candidate in Alabama to step down.

Nine women have accused Moore of a range of inappropriate conduct, including pursuing them when they were teenagers, groping and assault.

President Trump — not usually one for holding his fire — has not tweeted or spoken publicly about Moore since The Washington Post first reported on the accusations against him. His sole comment on the subject came through White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who said earlier this month that Trump believes that “if these allegations are true, Judge Moore will do the right thing and step aside.” Later, Trump told reporters, “I’ll stick with my statement for now, but I’ll have further comment as we go down the road.”

Let me begin by stating that I abhor hypocrisy. By family values I do mean the 1950's version. I do agree that some people ignored or failed in their attempt to live up to the moral code of that time. My wife and I are not among them

However look at what passes as moral and ethical behavior today.

I disagree with the pornographic and perversion depiction as normal generated by Hollywood and accepted in our educational, governmental and corporation as the new normal.

I disagree with the Supreme Court legalizing murder of the unborn and in fact that 9 unelected people have the right to speak for an entire nation on this issue.

I disagree with the logic that says we might as well legalize marijuana because we can keep the criminal element out of it. The criminal element won't be kept out anything and that includes selling cigarettes on the black market, running off track betting and casino's
all that is being done, and done for tax revenue by politicians is providing legal cover for criminals.

the same logic permeates dating today. For far too long true romance and proper courting have been lost. One night stands and hook ups have an adverse affect on true love and romance. Actually the physicality of Jesus never enters my thoughts unless of course it is brought up by someone such as yourself. My thoughts of Jesus go to his sermons and to his actions in response to those who believed and did not believe.

I don't cherry pick bible verses but there are bible verses I favor because they bring meaning to my life.

My views on sex do not stem from religious teachings but as an understanding of nature. Men and women compliment one another in every way

My views on abortion do not stem from religious teachings but from science itself and the social implications of interfering with mother nature.
the more scientist study this subject the closer they come to understanding that the unborn feel pain much earlier than previously believed . a recent premature birth of a 21 week old fetus survived and survived well

Simple sated I believe that at conception we have created a person with moral value.

And I do not believe the trope that its a woman's choice.

Pro-choice is a false narrative that feminist pushed because they had no other way around answering nature's intent and purpose for women. to them how could a woman be equal to a man if she were always obligated to give birth. they viewed getting pregnant as if it were a virus rather than a gift

As to men and women my belief is that they need not complete they should compliment one another. complimenting one another is what men and women do in successful marriages.

The Roy Moore issue is a dog whistle started by Mitch McConnell and now engaged by a number of politicians and news people who want to use it as a weapon to destroy Moore's chance of being elected.

I do not know if the allegations are true or untrue. However I do know they were raised as a political weapon against Moore. I know that because the allegations go back 40 YEARS.

We have members of Congress and Presidents who have actually and recently committed what Moore is being accused of. While the acts are disgusting do they really have relevance to the election of Moore today?

and if they do why haven't the very people bearing witness against Moore not engaged in removing other congressmen and women , etc from office.

Its hypocrisy at its worse driving this issue

you can place anyone of us in a spot light and make us appear as the worse human being on earth.

It is crime what Moore enemies are doing do to him just to ensure he doesn't get elected because it has been very painfully damaging to Moore's family and his family's families

You DO NOT ABHOR HYPOCRISY. YOU EMBRACE AND PRACTICE IT.

I have preached since before the election, to your VERY STRONG OBJECTIONS, the sheer and total hypocrisy of this entire presidency.

This morning you actually spoke of a poll on Twitter that is/was obviously the work of somebody's bot and you used that poll in exactly the manner they want you do...to divide.

Then, you come on here and profess values. You are a hypocrite of the highest order.

You PERSONALLY AND WITH GREAT EMOTION call me the victim of some made up syndrome because I object to a President who lies and deceives, yet you come on here and preach how wonderful you and your wife are.

Do you value honesty ? NO, YOU DO NOT. You actually with great vigor defend lying. You use people like Alex Jones, a valueless person who serves no purpose but to politicize with non truths. But you still tell everyone on here about your honesty. Sorry, you sold out and you did it for a man who defies every single thing you say you are against.

You speak of hypocrisy, but you practice it every day on here, and you do it with enthusiasm.

Listen, Rubicon, what makes you even more objectionable to me is I am a conservative.....I have criticized the Clinton's harshly and often on this very forum.

YET, I could not ever trade my values and/or morals in to see a political victory. My values supersede that stuff.

With you, your values, your truth, your honesty, are something you give up easily. You are bowing to a dispicable human being, and do not tell me that you don't love Trump, your posts are in adoration of every lie and every dollar he is robbing from us.

Never, on a forum or in person, have I ever encountered someone like you. You worship and defend a liar, while preaching honesty. For what reason ?

If you are driven only by your hate for Clinton, progressives, OBama or black people, then I suggest you examine closely your conscience.

You are a very very conflicted man.

It amuses me how many Americans would be horrified to realize that Jesus was a dark skinned, Middle Eastern Jew who never said a word against homosexuals, never married, and hung out all the time with 12 other guys...

And you know this? Or just what you want to believe? Anything written down is someone's opinion (even the quotes) Only the people actually seen son of GOD knows anything. Everything else is hearsay, lies, or opinions.

How do you square your "values" with a man who would say this ?

This is Trump in January, 2016.

How do you defend such a person with your stated value system ?

You do defend him, and you ARE a hypocrite

"Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump continues to confound political and media watchers with his unconventional campaign. After getting an endorsement from Sarah Palin, who delivered a bizarre and rambling speech, Trump has gone on to brag about the size of his manhood.

I’m all man,” said Trump in an interview with WEHW. “I’m also as big as Lexington Steele. I could have gone into the porn business, if I wanted to. How do you think I’ve been able to keep marrying these hot women? I will be the most well-endowed president in history.”

Lexington Steele is a porn star known for his 10-inch *****.

This is not the first time Trump has bragged about his manhood. He once told TMZ that attorney Gloria Allred would be impressed with the size of his *****."

How do you square yourself with " I never had sexual relations with that person? Or I only have one device? O I see they were little white lies under oath nothing more?

Only Saul (Paul) knows what is true and what isn't. He's personally responsible for what? 1/4, 1/3...or more of the NT? He IS Christianity.

Paul is to Christianity as Muhammad is to _____ ?

You sincerely have a problem if that response is it ?

What any Clinton has to do with an immoral and deceitful, mean spirited man in our White House, making a total and complete fool of you and me escapes me.

Bill Clinton was wrong, and he was impeached.

You dredge up history as if that wipes the hypocrisy we are experiencing ?

As I said to Rubicon....you can hate Clinton, or OBama all you want but to sell your soul for political victory, is inexcusable.

If political victory for you exceeds honesty, and country, then you win.

I was a GOP for many years, and would not sell my morals for our President. You can, and obviously have, but I will not.

Your lack of mentioning what has occurred in your country the last year tells me a lot. Your only defense, and it does not serve you well is a trip back to Clinton, and frankly....and this, for me, is difficult. The lying and deceit, the lack of openness, the sheer dishonesty of Donald Trump far exceeds...FAR EXCEEDS anything they may have done, and I am sure they have done a lot.

My time on this forum, which I thought might be a discussion of actual policy has opened my eyes. The Trump followers on here are in that minority of extremists who share the philosophy of the white nationalist in the alt right.

They delight and enjoy using the internet to defame and attack other people. They are the suckers for the bots, as mentioned in the congressional hearings. They do not, cannot, love this country. They are victims, and shills at the same time to a lifetime immoral person.

When posters spout the same thing over and over and are even unable to discuss the person in the White House, they have become captive victims.

My sincere apologies.

In my anger and haste, I made a serious mistake. This is a satire and I will apologize to Rubicon and the board.

I should never allow my anger and frustration do that.....

I am sorry.

Thanks at least for getting me in facts, and not simply skipping facts or posted words and immediately attacking Clinton

No problem. Didn't mean to call you out, but I know that is not your style. Appreciate the quick response and follow-up.

TO RUBICON

my sincerest apologies to you.

In my anger, haste and frustration, i cut and pasted something from a satire site.

I should never have done that and sincerely apologize, not only to you but to anyone offended.

While i was wrong, terribly wrong, in doing that, i still stand behind my words in response to your posts.

I usually check sites, because as you know, i surely do read them to check validity. In this case i was very wrong.

This is especially uncomfortable for me as well as being so very wrong. I am terribly upset at the use of some of these websites that are being used to support arguments. So, I cannot apologize enough because it is easy to id sites, if you are not angry and frustrated.
