Sent pics to warranty yesterday but no replies yet. Any ideas? This is a new courtyard villa in Phillips Villas.

It is for the folks living in the basement down there.

Looks like it broken

I looked in search, above and came up with this. It could be a property marker? https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...ticking+ground |
Is it anywhere near your ac unit
|
Technically property markers are metal so they can be easily found by metal detectors

Most likely just scrap left behind, try pulling in out. Looks like you had some landscape work done, if they moved a sprinkler head they may have left something behind. The irrigation piping is purple when your home is built, but a landscaper may have used white and left a little behind that finally worked it's way out.

I understand that China has renewed its deep-sea mining operations.

Called warranty office back today and the woman checked with someone and replied that I should just pull it out. Unfortunately it was too long to pull it out. I cut it at a couple of feet and just replaced the sod on top. Whatever the hell it was for, the remainder of the pipe will be there for a very long time. Thanks for the replies from this great forum.

I doubt very much that Warranty would know what that piece of white PVC is, just by looking at a small photo. I wouldn't have been be so quick to cut it or pull it out without checking with your builder or the person who did your sprinkler system. It was obviously there for a reason, even if the purpose is no longer valid. |

In the pictures, the curbing and maybe the concrete do not look like they were original from the building of the house.
I suspect that the pvc white pipe was used to by-pass sprinklers that were covered by one or the other after either the curbing or concrete were installed. In fact, if the curbing and concrete were done at different times, then the white pipe could have been a sprinkler fix for the first job that was then re-by-passed during the second job. Concrete and curbing guys would use pvc rather than the purple pipe that sprinkler guys use. Just an possibility. |

The drip lines are usually poly (black or what ever they are installing now). the pop up sprinkler lines are sch 40 PVC which are white 1/2 inch pipe with Main line feed of 1 inch PVC (at lease in my yard).
I don't know how old you house is or if you had any irrigation work done. If you don't have massive water leak when you turn you irrigation system it was junk pipe that someone left in the ground as stated by wiotte. I uncover crap all the time when digging in my yard. IMO they take all the junk trash and bury it under your yard from you house left overs after the build. I can explain how all the junk I find when digging? You would be surprised what mess you find when working irrigation system and crap under ground. |
I woke up this morning and found these pink flamingos sticking out of my lawn. Thoughts anyone ?
