Flippers Pizzeria Dine-in, carryout and delivery. Our pizza philosophy remains simple to this day. Fresh, all-natural ingredients combined with time-honored artisan methods make a better pizza. Period. You won’t find artificial colors, flavors or preservatives in anything we serve. Our dedicated pizza chefs take pride in handcrafting fresh dough, daily, using unbleached artisan flour and extra virgin olive oil. From our fresh-packed, San Joaquin pizza sauce and crushed imported DOP San Marzano tomatoes to our 100% whole milk Wisconsin mozzarella cheese and Belgioioso fresh mozzarella, we obsessively seek out the best ingredients. Our meats are all-natural. Our spices are hand-picked, and our vegetables are hand-chopped, sliced, diced, and roasted in-house. Baked at 600 degrees in our brick oven, Flippers is pizza perfected. The website does not allow you to order gluten free pizza. Also, you only have a personal size pizza for gluten free. :(

We love your pizza! We are from Chicago and know good pizza when we taste it. Yours is right up there with Chicago.
|
Only been there once, but really liked the your pizza the time I had it. The place was very busy.

Basic pizza is fine. However very skimpy with ad on choices.
|
Good pizza. We love some of the specialty pies.
|
We know, it is a pizza place. But have you tried the salads? We love all of them - huge, fresh, reasonable and no long waits no matter how many are wating for pizzas.

I did like their salads............but last time I was there, people were feeding their dog at the table. Gross in my book (yes I love dogs, but). Yes management was aware. Not returning. :ohdear: |

We have tried the pizza at about a dozen eateries nearby and so far, Flippers is our favorite. It's the closest in taste to the pizza we used to get when we lived on Long Island,.
|
I agree coming from Long Island also..Flippers is the closest pizza to a Long Island Pie...we always order from there..
|
Good Pizza, but the place needs some cleaning up....

Flippers: Do you still allow dogs to be fed from the table???
(Brownwood location) Liked your pizza, this kinda killed it for me. |
Got one free from doordash. It way okay but not worth paying for
|
Flippers is our go to pizza place in TV. Every time we’re down we eat there at least once.
|
Can you just get a slice instead of a whole pie?

We like the Spanish Springs location. Good pizza, it is hard to find pizza that we like in Florida.

It's Florida pizza. Weird crust, sauce made with San Marzano tomatoes which is trendy, but inferior (because people who don't know any better get suckered into believing that trendy = better - like putting a lime in Corona beer, which is Mexico's version of Pabst Blue Ribbon), their mozz is made in Wisconsin with whole milk instead of part skim, resulting in a greasy, messy, and less tasty affair. Their pizza is made with a cooler temperature than it should be, which means fewer crust bubbles and less charring. A big crust bubble, charred in the middle on the edge of the crust, is one (of many) signs of a properly made NY/New Haven style pizza. The crust isn't thin enough to need folding or cutting. It has the consistency of the cardboard Amazon uses to make its shipping boxes. They claim they use a "brick oven" but don't mention what is firing it. If it ain't wood or charcoal, then it doesn't matter if it's brick, ceramic, or metal. It won't come out right. |
Pizza
Flipper is Closest I've found to NYC pizza; Chicago pizza; Queens pizza; Jersey.
Not the 'toast' from New Haven which infiltrated parts of upstate NY and L.I. If you want a slice or 2 go to Bravo and tell them you want soft foldable crust. I'm 85 , grew up in the city and know real NY pizza. |

Crust consistency
n to eat it?[/QUOTE]
st Ive always ordered home delivery by phone and requested "crustier"crust and my request has never been granted but I continue ordering because they are good tasting plus the convenience of home delivery. I would definitely not like being there with dogs as much as I love canines. :doggie:::ohdear: |
Love Flippers! So far we've only had takeout but every order has been on time, ready to go and hot when we picked it up. I'm no pizza connoisseur but it is as good or better than anything else we've found so far in TV. Add to that the fact that their Spanish Springs restaurant is pretty close to where we live and we've become more-or-less regular customers.
Haven't eaten in the restaurant (or at any of the sidewalk tables) but there's never a lack of customers at them. And yes...I've seen dogs with customers at the sidewalk tables. Not inside. Outside, doesn't bother me. |
