The first and second amendment
 

I find it scary that Christians want to replace the first Amendment with the Bible yet they want to fight to the death to overprotect the second amendment. If you love the 2nd, then please respect the 1st.:shrug:

We lost those rights a long long time ago...at least since the 1960s.

TRY to speak the TRUTH about minorities or women and see where it gets you.

TRY to go to school with ONLY those you CHOOSE to associated with...you can't. Try to HIRE only those you CHOOSE to hire...you can't. Try to keep your neighborhood full of ONLY those you WISH to live among...you can't.

We've already LOST two of the the most important "rights" we had.

Many Christians do not believe Donald Trump speaks for them so both the First and Second Amendment are very much alive.

Would you mind sharing with us a specific reference to each of the claims in your opening sentence.

My guess it is more one's own opinion and conclusion based on their politics and bias than any real undertaking by any groups in particular.

And there is the ever present broad brush generalization referring to "...Christians want to..." which is just not realistic.

I find it scary that progressive rant about inclusiveness unless of course your Christian, white, pro-life, conservative, believe in a hand up but not a hand out, application of the rule of law to everyone, the historic definition of marriage, the nuclear family, traditions, patriotism, practiced reticence. All of which are being removed, diminished ignored by the radical left leaving many to understand that that possibility is ever present and hence the 2nd amendment never tampered with.

Women treat real life just like they treat games they play with men. The rules must be tweaked in their favor...so they CAN have a chance. That is why we HAVE affirmative action and quotas. It's like spotting them points...or playing with your opposite hand...to "give them a chance" since they'd be destroyed if we didn't...if we competed "full strength" against them. Same as in business...it's NOT sexism...it's their inferiority.

I almost wish I'd be around in 30 years when the women wake up one day and realize just what they've done...the horrors that await them...the destruction of civilization as the country becomes 80% minorities. Go watch BET and Univision for your future ladies...you're going back to being property...and it WILL be socially acceptable...especially for white girls who will be treated as second class people...used and abused. Talk to a white girl going to a black school...ask her what it's like. EVERY one of them has been deflowered by a black...willingly, by intimidation, or by rape. You don't report it when you know they WILL kill you if you say anything. Girls are raped by schoolboys all the time. And it's MOSTLY the blacks.

The First Amendment is First for a reason. The Second Amendment is qualified by the beginning part: "In order to provide for a well regulated militia"...inferring that one must belong to a well regulated militia to own a gun.

Supreme court doesn't agree with you.

Most people are unaware of the Everson vs. Board Supreme Court decision, which is critical to that part of the First Amendment regarding religion's place in the US. I've heard many Christians with a complete misunderstanding of this.

The Everson vs. Board (unanimous) decision makes it clear that there is, in fact, a "Wall of Separation" between church and state. Therefore, it is completely unlawful to lead prayer on public grounds, in public schools, in fact, any taxpayer facility. Roy Moore with his Ten Commandments statue at the courthouse, was in violation of the First Amendment and got bounced out of his job because of it.

I'm not exactly sure about those "prayer groups" that Trump and Pence were showing off at the White House, because that seems to be a private (ha, ha, with the press on site) gathering.

Well I guess all us gun owners consider ourselves as a well regulated militia...

The First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

However, the Christian Right has held the belief that Christianity is the de facto religion in the US based on the numbers. The sad part is although they want to their religious beliefs to be respected, they turn around a try to impose their beliefs on the rest of us! We get slammed at the holiday time if we say Seasons Greeting!

They oppose abortion but don't want to prevent pregnancies by providing access to birth control options to their employees! In the recent past, they have been promoting the heartbeat test... If you can hear the heartbeat of the fetus then you cannot have an abortion. The heartbeat starts up pretty quick so this law would stop 90%ish abortions. They make the claim that they are pro-life but actually they are clearly only Pro-Birth. After the birth, they oppose the social safety nets these mothers need. We hear about welfare queens.....Not mention 2 Republican Senate candidates made these statements:

“It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.”

Dec. 6 (UPI) -- The House passed a bill Wednesday that will allow concealed carry weapon permit holders to conceal their weapon in any other states.
The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act passed 231-198 in the House with six Democrats voting for it and 14 Republicans opposed.
