Talk about talented!!! Let me guess on the common names of the birds: American avocet, snowy plover, and killdeer?

You go girl! :coolsmiley:

Betty.

There are a lot of people who do faux painting, some good, some not so good. You have enormous talent and absolutely exquisite taste. Your bird and sand scene is so beautiful. You would have more than a side business with this ability.

My hat's off to you.

GG

I didn't know what "Tatouage" meant.

I looked up "Tatouage" on the net and there is a company by that name that does applied wall murals. Was yours hand painted or premade and applied?

It is beautiful, either way. I applaud your taste.

There was no deception meant. Tatouage is a pre-made rub on wall mural/picture application. It, when done, has the looks of a real hand painting. The "rubbing on" process is a labor of love, for it takes great patience Mrs. Handie is a very talented woman, IMHO, however she did not hand paint the picture. We only meant to show what can be done with a blah wall space. We have decided to add some puffy clouds to the picture and a few distant seagulls. The back ground paint on the counter wall is a very pale blue flat washable enamel. Google "tatouage" for tons of ideas and companies selling this product. Thank you all for your kind comments.

What a coincidence!! I knew of Tatouage and love a few of the designs, but I was AFRAID I wouldn't know how to apply them. NOW I have a good girlfriend who can help me!! Wow!!! Thanks Mr. & Mrs. H, I'll order my designs immediately!!! Good job, Betty, you are very creative and I love your design.

The artistic part of tatouage comes into play when selecting a number of individual pieces and then arranging them in an attractive way to create a unique mural as Mrs. Handie has skillfully done here.

Applying the tatouage is actually quite easy to do. Here’s a youtube video that shows how it’s done. Note that in this video, they are applying the tatouage to a very rough textured wall which is the most challenging surface. On a normal flat surface it’s a breeze:

Here’s one I did over the slider to my deck. It might have taken me an hour or so and I have absolutely no artistic talent.

I did a border on my oak floors here in NY about ten years ago. Polyurethaned over it and it is still in good condition. I love Tatouage. ome of their products can be found on EBAY as well at www.tatouage.com
