Radio Stations You Listen to in TV
 

Just curious what you folks listen to around TV. I'm not talking about something you can only get with fancy equipment, or even streaming online. I'm talking about the good old-fashioned way...just cruising around town in your car that only has a decent AM/FM radio.

I'd like the stations you list to be clear. I don't want to have to battle static. Other than the local station, I know we're not in a radio station nirvana here. Heheh. But I'd like to know what you listen to when you want some...

I love 40's music. I also love Piano songs from the 40's. I enjoy that kind of music when I'm cooking or working around the house. But, I also love 50's as I'm a child of that era! I usually ask Alexa to play it for me. She does a decent job of providing what I like.

99.7 from Ocala or stream music from my iPhone

I only listen to Amazon prime, even in my car and my golf cart. I find radio stations too cluttered with advertising...I don't have fancy equipment. I own an Android and a Bluetooth speaker...not very high tech at all...

Amazon Prime and XM in car only and basic package.

I listen to my own playlist through my cars bluetooth speakers. That way, I only have to listen to the songs I like.

Clark Howard podcasts can be streamed on a phone or tablet and help to put me to sleep. He is a consumer guru.

102.7 FM, which is z88.3 in Orlando. The Central Florida contemporary Christian music station with no commercials. I've been listening to them since they came on the air in the 80's. They are also one of the first stations to broadcast Emergency alerts during bad weather.

AM 650 in the mornings.

97.3 the sky --only good conservative talk radio in the area==6-10 AM--when I'm in the car only

Amazon Prime at home and Sirius/XM in the car. WVLG is almost unlistenable at my home in Lake Deaton due to a loud (60 cycle) hum.

K-Country, WOGK, 93.7 FM, Ocala

In my later life, this NYC boy has come to appreciate drivin' around listening to good ole boys (and gals).

Not many good choices for over-the-air radio for me in The Villages area. 97.3 (Sky) and 96.5 (WDBO Orlando) are my usual choices for talk radio and news (with a fair amount of reception issues). NPR at 90.1 sometimes. There was also The Boulevard at 89.6, but that seems to have disappeared from the airwaves. If you are into rap or country, (I'm not), you may find a few more. Sirius XM must do a good business around here considering what is available over-the-air.

North Central Florida's only Classic Rock station WIND Ocala/Gainesville 95.5

Actually, I listed to that station when in the yard or garage. In the car I have XM and 10 stations present. Everything from 80's New Wave, 80's Hair Bands, 90's Alternative to Classic Vinyl and Ozzy's Heavy Metal Channel.

Pandora in house off smart tv, Sirius in car. Radio stations are passe.

90.7 WMFE, Orlando (NPR)

97.3 WSKY but they took off their INTERNET feed so listen to WFLA Tampa on iHeart, Only listen to Internet Radio on my Home Audio. Listen to 97.3 on car, 60's on 6, Patriot, and Fox News and Business News in car over the air and on Sirius XM. My wife likes The Blend.

Have had amazon prime for years. What do people listen to on amazon and how?

PSA- just discovered Paribus.co (free)two weeks ago and have already received a free month of amazon prime.

Sirius XM in golf cart and car for smooth jazz,CNBC, and FOX News. 105.9 Sunny FM Classic Rock from Orlando great tunes plus their morning show is one of the best with Rick Stacy.

Might listen to WVLG if they ever come into the 21st century and do an internet feed.

I guess I am a news junkie.

I love NPR, but I also listen to CNN and FOX via Sirius. I enjoy listening the their extreme points of view and then go back to NPR to get a bit of sanity.

Thanks for the suggestion, I had believed that WIND 95.5 Ocala/Gainesville was the only classic rock station in these parts. However they seem to have grown stale. I've sent them about 150 suggestions over the past two years and they've only added about 25 of them.

After looking at 105.9 Sunny FM website and their playlist, they seem to have a better variety. For example, 95.5 would never play Prince Purple Rain followed by Guns N Roses, then REM, then Kiss, the Police then Human League. Overall, it is really more like the 70's and 80's radio that I remember.

Sirius XM for me and Apple CarPlay for my set lists and podcasts.
