Dog Friendly Restaurants
Can anyone recommend restaurants in The Village that allows you to eat with you dog? The dog is not a service dog.
Thanks |

Having said the above... I know Square One in Pinellas Plaza allows dogs outside.

Do you mean a restaurant where you can eat with your dog, or a restaurant where your dog can eat with you? I can hardly wait for this thread to take off. ::Zoom Zoom:: Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro |
I would also like to know about these restaurants so I can stay away from them.

Just disguise your dog, no one will know .

Most restaurants that have an outdoor area will allow pets. But always call to confirm.

Do you also sit down outside next to a smoker and gripe about it? |

In your kitchen or dinning room

Johnny Rockets at Sumpter. They have a dog menu if you ask. Bob Evans at Colony. World of beer at Brownwood. Gators at Sumpter.

I wish it were true; and that dogs were allowed on all patios.
A special license is needed, but some restaurants allow dogs on the patio without a license, and "look the other way". Last time I checked, Cody's at LSL had a license that allowed dogs in an outside area on the east side of the deck. I didn't know the new Bob Evans had a pet-friendly patio, thanks for that information. |

The real question is why do you have to bring your dog to a restaurant in the first place?

Why would you want to take your dog to a restaurant? We have a dog and would never be that inconsiderate to other people nor would I ever eat in a restaurant that allowed dogs inside or out.
|
Up next, what movie theaters and doctor offices allow you to bring Precious inside with you.

However, anyone can ask out of curiosity and IF the dog owner is honest, they will not put up a stink but will tell you. Big difference between service dogs and "emotional support animals". The teacup Yorkie I saw at Spanish Springs whose "service" was barking at the doorbell for a hard of hearing owner makes me question the service dog vest at an outdoor venue. If that was told to a restaurant owner, the dog would NOT be allowed in the restaurant. |
no one has mentioned the fact that when our dog was alive, at home, he used to sit in the corner and stare at us eating. We would allways feed him first before the family sat down to eat.
I disliked him staring at us and would always make him go into another room. Not that I disliked him, but I dislike eating in front of anybody who is also not eating, or not waiting on their food to be served. Dogs sense of smell is so good that I would think that, if I were a dog, in a resturant, with all those awesome smells around me, and I just have to sit and watch others eat, It would be horrible for me, as a dog. So why put your beloved pet thru this. why not just leave your pet st home, where he knows the food smells and has a potential for bite of that smell. Personnally, I think this is cruel and unusual punishment. |

I wasn't suggesting anyone take their dog to lunch or dinner; although if a deck is licensed for animals, I see nothing wrong with it. If I were offended by the thought of eating with a dog, I'd check whether the patio area allows dogs. |
