:ho: How are the other senses? Hate to see the sun shine and blue sky? Smell of fresh brewed coffee? Taste of a home cooked breakfast? Feel of your significant other?:blahblahblah::blahblahblah::blahblahblah:
It's chirping not churping ..... try a 12 ga.!!!!:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: |
You could try some plastic owls in trees but that doesn’t always work. Earplugs may be your best option.
If there nests in the trees, do nothing. It is against the law to disturb active nests. |

Thank you for correcting my misspelling. BTW...I LOVE sunshine and coffee. I considered your suggestion but it seems a bit drastic. Chopping down the trees might be another option.

Earplugs
Redwitch,
Thank you for your suggestion. I use earplugs but they aren't able to block these noise makers.:( Quote:

White Noise
CFrance,
I think these birds chirp in every season. Your solution sounds good...I think I'll ask someone at the Bird Store in Lady Lake. Thank you. Quote:

VillagerBB, I wouldn't be surprised if noise was from sparrows. They have invaded (nesting) our palm the past two years and have driven off the bluebirds from our nearby boxes. We have gone from 2-3 broods of bluebirds a year, to zero nesting the past two years. And the sparrows are really noisy at times. The other day while out working in the yard, they were even extra noisy. I looked over and spotted a squirrel, the first one we seen, climbing the trunk of our palm. The next day I noticed a dead sparrow chick under the palm. Don't know if was connected to the squirrel sighting but squirrels love to get baby birds. Maybe you could do something to attract squirrels to your tree(s). For us, no big deal in the whole scheme of things. Don |
Get a white noise machine...it works wonders!!! We had the same issue a few years ago so we got one of these.
|
You can always scare them away by going out in your pink furry slippers.

I'll definitely check into getting one. Thank you.

Northern Mockingbird
Might one of these be the "birds" that wake you? Sounds like a lot of birds, but nope, just one.

I do know the sparrows are an invasive species brought from another country and causing havoc to the native species, but I did not know they make a lot of noise. I think OP's only option is to drown out the noise somehow. |

Buy one of these stuffed cats...and put it in the tree. :D

Wake up and enjoy their joyful noise! If God’s blessings are annoying to you, change!

You can try hanging cd or dvd discs from strings in the tree. The movement and light reflections will scare the birds away.

We get woken up every morning about 6:30 by a very loud cardinal. I just consider him an "urban rooster". Complaining about the birds singing is like complaining about rain, or leaves falling, or the Florida heat. What's the point? Maybe you could try going to bed earlier? :girlneener:

We had a pair of owls that used to sound like they were inside our bedroom...and became annoying after a while. The last couple of years though, they haven't come back...and I miss them now. :( |
I know of a nice high rise in the middle of the asphalt jungle where the only animals that live there are your neighbors. Oops, they make a lot of noise also. Sorry, I guess you're stuck with the birds.
|
I dont really understand. I moved here from NY so that i CAN hear the birds singing in the morning.
|
Got one of those as well. Mine squawks at 3:00 AM now. I just throw a cup full of ice water into the tree.
|
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I much prefer the noisy birds to noisy neighbors...:)

If the birds are mating that's a problem (Noisey) if the humans were mating they wouldn't hear the birds. Either way, I can't hear any animules except these damn frogs.
|
My sister is very much disturbed by noises and I have always just tuned them out. She was amazed when we were in school that I could listen to music and do my homework and not be distracted.
|
All birds chirp. If the chirp at night, males are protecting their territory from other male birds. This is especially true in mating season. As with all wildlife, just deal with it. This is one case where the males make more noise that the females...chuckle chuckle.
|
Got to a gun store and get ear plugs.
|
See if you can find an alligator that can climb trees.
|
Try hanging a disc they reflect and will scare them

Couldn't resist......

Ronald Saracino in Cape Coral got the surprise of a lifetime recently when he walked out his door and saw this in his yard: an alligator in his tree.

I am a Villager who is staying in Santa Fe and just had the honor to see a band of Bighorn sheep. You are granted the ability to hear the birds; what a gift. Go to bed earlier and try not to be a curmudgeon.
|
I guess I have to experience this problem to understand it.

Many people are mildly annoyed by other people eating noisy food. |
Be glad you can hear them and enjoy their mating season. You could move to the desert !,,,,
