Interesting house

If you go to the Villages website look at resale homes.
This house is a Seabrook and is listed at $819,495.
Probably the most unusual house I’ve ever seen.

Goldwingnut 05-29-2018 02:23 PM

We'll they weren't afraid of using a little color. Not the plain white walls like you see in many houses.

Wow, that is by far the most interesting house that I have ever seen where color is concerned. When I see houses like this I often wonder if the owner is an artist. It may not be everyone's taste but it definitely flows and is well put together.

I agree!! Whomever the homeowner is they're not afraid to express their love of color. Some folks would rather play "safe and boring" with neutral. If it's not to the buyer's taste, they can always re-paint it!!!

The ceiling in the master bedroom was very interesting. It looks like piped icing.

waterlily 05-29-2018 07:23 PM

A Jimmy Buffet Fan or just loves Parrots?

This one has tons of color as well!

what happens when the wife thinks she is an interior decorator

am sure the realtor tried to make gentle suggestions but was overruled.

msendo 05-29-2018 07:57 PM

It is interesting with the colors combination used- right down to the washer/dryer.

Bogie Shooter 05-29-2018 08:13 PM

Sold in 2014, $655,800.

Bjeanj 05-29-2018 08:16 PM

The house has good bones. As my mother would say, “bless their hearts, money doesn’t buy good taste.”

Meow.

manaboutown 05-29-2018 09:35 PM

I like the blue but the green, not so much.

redwitch 05-29-2018 10:17 PM

Dramatic! Not my taste but I think I’d enjoy visiting here.

Specialized houses are rough to move but there is a buyer for ever house. (No Mean Jokes). It will go.

patfla06 05-29-2018 11:16 PM

Just when I think I’ve seen it all......☺️

How many coats of paint do you think it will take to cover those paint colors?

Same as the bench, must be the same material

asianthree 05-30-2018 03:37 AM

Well couple of coats of glitz will cover up some of the dark colors.
It’s the mirrors in the kitchen on cabinet fronts, that have me confused. But if you will notice the entire house has mirrors of some sort and every room whether it be the desks, on the walls, nightstands, kitchen island front. Must have to buy windex by the gallon.

pbkmaine 05-30-2018 03:47 AM

I think the green tray ceiling is supposed to look like malachite:

I wonder if that was before the paint job.

I wonder who they got to paint their bathroom cabinets. I've always wanted painted kitchen cabinets but don't know who would do it.

OCsun 05-30-2018 06:45 AM

I see a house where the owner has a love of color and enjoyed the beauty of each area. I love the bathrooms and can feel the peacefulness of working at the desk in the Lanai.
The colors are obviously louder then most people would chose. Many home buyers come in and re-paint a house to their liking no matter boring or bright. Mirrors on kitchen cabinets are a problem. JMHO

Bay Kid 05-30-2018 07:01 AM

Very cool

I agree with you. However, it would cost thousands to cover that up with a neutral color. Hopefully some buyer will just love it, or love the house enough to factor in the painting cost.

You almost have to buy it turnkey, furniture and all!

Too bad the view of the lake is blocked. Might want to take out summa those trees. (OH wait...:evil6:)

C4Boston 05-30-2018 07:23 AM

Hideous. Will cost $80,000 to bring it back

Marathon Man 05-30-2018 07:26 AM

Love it, love it, LOVE it.

inda50 05-30-2018 07:32 AM

Exciting home. Wonderful in coordination of all the different colors elements and mirrors in the kitchen. This is not easy to do and certainly not for bland tastes. I love it.

Yes, the mirrors are the only thing that would really bother me.
I believe you should decorate your home to your lifestyle and taste. When it is time to sell invest in making it more neutral, it will pay off.

Taltarzac725 05-30-2018 08:04 AM

I wonder what kind of personalities the owners have?

Lots of different colors inside that home.

Chatbrat 05-30-2018 08:18 AM

Trying to match all the fixtures and paint for a potential buyer will be an interesting project

I would have nose prints on every single one. Not a house for pet owners.

Chatbrat 05-30-2018 08:25 AM

Imagine looking up a that MBR ceiling after a heavy night of drinking--wouldn't take much for the room to start spinning

I agree, I love it too but would never do it, nor do I think I have the talent to pull it off. The one that also uses a lot of color but I really like it is #VLS 225756 in Duval. That's a very HAPPY house to me, would love to live in it but its above my budget.

zmarkp 05-30-2018 09:02 AM

I will bet the owners are very interesting people!

Bill32 05-30-2018 09:02 AM

May attract some buyers but chase off others....great location though....

Kenswing 05-30-2018 09:09 AM

This wouldn't bother us at all. The first thing we do when we buy a house is paint it anyway.

Tom C 05-30-2018 10:24 AM

It would be like living in a 12 year old granddaughter's aquarium - Lots of bright colors and most of the neon variety! Very interesting use of mirrors in the kitchen (around the bar base and on the cabinets).
