The Jets were staying right with the Colts the last time they played. I thought the Colts were the better team but I also thought the Chargers were the better team a few hours ago. Shows what I know.
San Diego was the team nobody wanted to meet in the playoffs. They just had too many weapons. The Jets had some problems in the first quarter but made some adjustments and turned it into a great game, especially since we won.

Do you think the Colts would rather play the Chargers instead of the Jets - I don't.

It's the Bankers vs the Longshoremen. Common sense tells us that the Colts will take this one, but the Jets play a rough and tumble game that may prove to be upsetting for the "desk" set.

JUREK 01-18-2010 12:20 PM

Colts for sure

I do like the Jets defense but they won't have a chance against the Colts.
I'll give the Jets credit they got past the Chargers. Good thing the Chargers Kicker missed three field goals.
Go Colts

Minnesotalyn 01-18-2010 04:59 PM

Of coarse I'm cheering for the Vikings, but in our neighborhood, we have a game where we all put $10.00 in and pick a team and we have the Jets. So I'm cheering for both.

That's the way it is with football. You need all three units performing. Offense, defense and special teams can win games for you and lose games for you. Jet fans will remember the 2nd Dolphin game this year when the Jets special team didn't show up.
Another way of looking at it is if the high powered Charger offense had done their job the kicker's poor performance wouldn't have mattered that much. It's a team performance.

Love the Jets coach

Bluedog: Believe me I wouldn't be upset if the Jets win. Give them credit they did much better than the Giants for sure.
The Colts are my first choice and Probably Saints second. I watched Brees play about a dozen times at Purdue.
I have to Watch NFL because in NHL my favourite team is the Leafs. The worst team in Pro hockey. Shows you what I know. LOL

Bosoxfan 01-18-2010 08:00 PM

Let's see, the Saints, Indy, the Vikings and now the Jets. Who do I despise the least? Payton, Brett or the whole Jets team. OK I guess it's GO SAINTS from here on!

I know what you mean JUREK. There are four good, classy teams going into the playoffs this weekend. If the Jets go down I'll be rooting for the Colts.
I've been a Jets fan for many years. That's not always a popular position in my area. Not as bad as being a Patriot or Red Sox fan, which is as low as you can go, but I live in Giants territory. Funny, but I don't hate the Giants like many Jets fans, I just prefer the Jets, even though I'm usually ridiculed whenever I'm out and about when wearing my Jets garb. Not this year though!!!!

I went to the Jets send-off bash at their Florham Park facility yesterday. What a crowd!
Last time they had a real send-off was before the Houston game early in the season. That time there were just a few hundred fans there. Yesterday there were several thousand. Traffic was like going to and from Giants Stadium on game day. I guess a lot of people suddenly became Jets fans. If they don't win today I wonder how many Sanchez jerseys will end up in attics or Goodwill bins.

Any team can be beaten on any given day, but my husband, myself and our dog Peyton (named after guess who) will be cheering hard for the Colts

That's a classy attitude. Root for a team not against another. I like that.

bluedog103 01-24-2010 06:16 PM

Great game. Congrats to the Colts. They definitely deserve to be in the Superbowl.

annie2 01-24-2010 06:25 PM

It was an exciting game. Looking forward to the Saints and the Vikings next.

Would love to see the Colts play the Saints in the Superbowl

North Bay eh? I lived in Kirkland Lake for almost 20 years. Way back when they still had some people. Go Colts.

annie2 01-25-2010 07:17 AM

Hi Jurek:
Yep! Born and raised in North Bay and have spent most of my married life here also.
My husband is from Washington, Indiana
Small world

JUREK 01-25-2010 08:46 AM

Very small world

Annie2: Very small world. My wife's dad is from Washington Ind.
I'm still trying to talk some friends from the Great White north to come to TV and visit. They're all afraid of the Gators . LOL

Indy-Guy 01-25-2010 08:58 AM

Before moving to The Villages I was a 20 year Indianapolis Colts season ticket holder I am thrilled that they are in the Super Bowl.

As a season football ticket holder for the Purdue Boilermakers during the Drew Brees era I wish the Colts were not playing the Saints because I truly like Brees and the Saints. If the Saints do win it will great for the city of New Orleans and their fans.

However I will be yelling for the Colts. But I will not get upset at the many many people who will be pulling for the Saints because if the Colts weren't there I would go out and purchase a Saints hat and yell like heck for the Saints.

Looking forward to the game. GO COLTS!

Indy

Baltimore Guy 01-25-2010 09:12 AM

Go colts

Love the name "COLTS", lived in Baltimore for 60 years, still love the old Colts.:beer3:

Sally Jo 01-25-2010 09:25 AM

I graduated from Tennessee and my husband from Purdue. It is going to be a battle royal. Thiis is the match-up I was hoping for.

JUREK 01-25-2010 09:27 AM

same mixed feelings

Indy Guy:

Never had season tickets to Colts or Boilermakers but I am lucky enough to go to many games. I'm waiting for the outcome and then I'll buy my hat. LOL
It's a win win situation. GO COLTS. :agree::agree:

I followed the Baltimore Colts before the moved to my home town of Indianapolis. In fact when I get into some conservations about the Colts with my friends from Baltimore I know more about their team than many of them do.
I remember Unitas, Moore, Berry, Donovan, AlanThe horse Amachie, Big Daddy, Bert Jones, Gino Marchetti and many many more. They were great teams with a great deal of personality. I would be great if some of these teams today had the old Colts personality! Donovan was really funny! and I loved him when he was on Johnny Carson.

As an Indianapolis Colts fan I respect what you folks had in Baltimore.

Go Colts!
