Why did you think it was private?

However in TV the Daily Sun has a wealth of information, for about $60 a year it will be delivered to your driveway everyday.

Agreed ..... but it's $80 now if you pay for the year. :)

Actually it is now $80 per year, an increase of 45% since 2012.

Worth every penny to us to keep us informed of what’s going on in TV. Though it’s not the Arkansas Gazette or the Kansas City Star, it is a good local paper.

The newspaper where I came from was about $450 a year and it was unreadable. I cancelled it after having subscribed over 20 years when I just couldn't take it anymore. The Daily Sun is a great deal.

Northerner52 02-17-2019 09:41 PM

Worth every penny.

The private event at the polo field I referred to occurred on Sunday. The golf fest ended on Saturday.

Signs at the entrances stated 'private event' and security people in orange shirts were either letting people in or turning them away. I believe I saw horse trailers in the distance.

I suppose I should have pulled in And asked what was going on, But I was headed for lunch .

And while I'm not hungry anymore I'm still curious.

Is it a pre-polo get together, since you saw horses?

The golf fest ran Friday and Saturday. I was there both days. It was a month earlier than last year's festival. Anybody can buy tickets at any of the country clubs for 8 dollars or 10 the day of. Check it out next year. Lot's of fun.:a040:

Sunday's private event was Da Family throwing me a huge birthday party.

My apologies to all...that weren't invited.

I subscribed to the paper when still in The Villages, and I felt it was an excellent "small town" newspaper. Coverage of local events and activities was well done, while national news was mentioned but not the center of attention.

I also did all of the puzzles on the comics page to keep my mind alert. I enjoyed this paper far more than the Tampa paper, to which I no longer subscribe.
