Trailwinds Village Adding More Shops

3 Attachment(s)
Trailwinds Village has submitted plans to build two buildings facing 466A. If plans that were accidentally leaked about a year ago can be trusted, Building A will house a First Watch and a Starbucks. Building B will be a Heartland Dental.

So, going eastward from the traffic light on 466A, potentially it will be:
Circle K (open)
Wendy's (announced)
Taco Bell (announced)
First Watch (not announced)
Starbucks (not announced)
Heartland Dental (not announced)
Burger King (under construction)
VyStar Credit Union (under construction)

A Publix will be built behind Circle K. The construction of the building has been announced, but the tenant is a "secret" and is referred to as Market At Trailwinds. However, the plans clearly show Publix.

466a

Great, but I hope there's a plan to build a fence on the golf courses side of the street. It's already very loud over there. More so, a sign alerting drivers to low flying objects is needed to warn them about all the hooked drives.

Happinow 03-13-2019 09:43 PM

Let’s build it already!

No Hobby Lobby yet....😢😢😢

Starbucks! You just made my day!

Good luck to First Watch .. Darrell's will crush it ..

2 years after Costco & Trader Joe's.

There are only two cheesecake factories in Florida both in extreme high traffic areas one in Winter Park and one in Orlando. Within opening there is a 45 minute wait that increases as day goes on everyday pretty much stays consistent until close. TV could never support their business plan. But it’s always a nice thought.

Up north we live within 30 minutes of one. If we are not there at opening, we skip them, or just order online pickup a to go order.

Are u kidding?!? I’ve been to two in S. Florida. One is in Aventura Mall in Miami. As far as I know...Miami is still a part of Florida. (My home town.). Then there is the Cheesecake Factory @ Sawgrass Mills, which is western Broward County, Ft. Lauderdale. Last I heard Ft. Lauderdale was still in Florida. My last hometown in S. Fl was Hollywood. I was the Library /Media Specialist at a school in Ft. Lauderdale. :)

There are 16 Cheesecake Factories in Florida.

I’m not at all surprised. I’ve been to several. Why would anyone say there were only two? Just shows how incorrect info gets started.:MOJE_whot:

Sorry, but there are MANY Cheesecake Factory restaurants in Florida other than the two you mentioned:

2 in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Naples, Jacksonville, Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Boca Raton, Brandon, Sunrise, Palm Beach Gardens, and Pembroke Pines.

I've eaten in many of them and never have I ever had a bad meal.

Don't agree with your comment at all. First Watch is great, their food is a cut above most other breakfast/lunch places and their prices are excellent. The one off Spanish Springs is always busy from opening to close.

Completely agree - been to Darrell's a few times, nothing special at all. First Watch, a few times - and wonderful all around. Can't wait for their new location.

Perhaps the person responding earlier, extolling Darrell's, was... Darrell.

7 of us dropped in on Darrell's, Pinellas Plaza, 4 out 7 ordered Cheeseburgers...etc..guess what all of the Cheeseburgers came out " Exactly " the same...just like like the frozen kind at most Supermarkets........hmmmmm

Chatbrat 06-11-2019 12:08 PM

It would great if there was a restaurant that offered something besides breakfast & lunch--we never eat breakfast and or lunch out--just go out for dinner 3 times a week--something different would be appreciated

No big surprise regarding what you said about Darrell's.

At best, while I know they do have a following (which I will never understand), what they "turn out" is very mediocre.

They win the prize for portion control, what they serve seems to taste as though it comes out of a pre-fab package and their bread is . . . . meh!

Chatbrat 06-11-2019 12:26 PM

Price and convenience, IMHO, is what drives most restaurants in TV, quality is a distant 3rd--after hearing people praise mediocrity, time after time--all I can say is , nothing--they'll never get it

Darrell's can't hold a candle to First Watch. I hope FW opens one in Trailwinds.

I think they can coexist, I am very fond of them both and happy they will be near me.

Tweety Bird 06-12-2019 02:35 PM

They are two different types of food. First Watch is healthy fare. I do like my Darrel’s though.

I loooooooooooove First Watch, but I don't think it's particularly healthy food. Check out their menu, especially the calorie counts. You could do most of your 2000 calorie per day in one sitting.

What I like about FW are the many different options you don't get at your everyday diner breakfast. It's an occasional treat for us, but then, going out to breakfast is an occasional treat for us, so we like to go somewhere that has more creative dishes.

If they come to Trailwinds, we would probably go once a month.

There is one in the Boca Raton area in South Fla. also in very high traffic area.
