So far this season it is a bit slow in developing action sequences.

This season is only one episode so far. It was laying the groundwork for what's to come. Hold on to you hat; I have a feeling the ride is just beginning.

We are binge-watching, started on season 1. Finishing up season 2 this evening. Gory and do the women not own clothes? (;-0 )

I really like it! So much plotting and strategies. Oh, wait; that’s the same thing, right?

Chi-Town 04-28-2019 07:25 PM

Tonight's battle is supposed to be the longest battle scene ever filmed. Turn up the volume.

Quite the battle but was a lot more upset by the outcome of last night's Game of Thrones episode.

-Spoiler Alert-

It was quite sad to see the Mother of Dragons lose one of her children. It was quite disconcerting to see the Kingslayer return to the dark side. It was quite disturbing to see that Missandei will never be able to enjoy the beaches of Naath. All I can say is Dracarys!

Spoiler alert

That was quite the massive battle in Episode 5 of Season 8 of The Game of Thrones. Things just got very dark for everyone.

One more episode. Daenerys definitely became the "Mad Queen" of the family Targaryen.

That she did. I hope she survives along with her dragon. Those slave trading cities will slide back to their evil ways without dragons. Or a dragon. Where do the eggs come from?

Daenerys proved herself to be unworthy of the throne, and I'm hopefully someone will make it right. I'm hoping my favorite character, Arya Stark, who has survived the carnage, will find a way to use her sword, "the needle", on her. I know, that sounds bad, but Daenerys must have killed thousands of innocents in the last episode.

Probably hundreds of thousands of townsfolk. I do hope Arya makes it out of the series alive.

Next Sunday....final show. Trust me on this.....Tyrone will kill Dany, with his crossbow, while she is on a toilet. Sansa will become Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and Ayra will be at her side.

Well that is an interesting take on it.

That theory seems too "wrapped up" to me, but would probably be satisfying. I'm expecting an unsatisfying ending, so they can have a big budget movie in the future. Keep in mind that the ending (and most of this season) was written by the show runners, not the GOT author, George R.R. Martin. I just hope that Jon Snow goes back up north and doesn't get a sniff of the iron throne. What a wimp he's turned out to be.

He is in love. It might wind up that he sends Dany back to deal with the slavers with some extra dragons in tow.

There is a prequel in the works for GOT but now sequel that I know of anyway. Game of Thrones prequel: expected release date and cast list for Bloodmoon

Tyrone. That's a hoot. I know you mean Tyrion, but the last person shooting that crossbow was Bronn in episode 4. Where has he been since?

Yes, thanks for pointing out the typo. I just knew there would be one person to tell me that I spelled Tyrions name incorrectly.

He was in one of the last episodes negotiating with the Northern Lannister brothers for High Garden if he gave up any of his promises to Cersei.

Taltarzac725 05-18-2019 03:31 PM

The Blu-Ray/DVD for Season 8 of GOT comes out just after Christmas 2019.

Potential Spoilers.

Kind of disappointing.

I will wait a few days to go into it.

wine5465 05-20-2019 08:25 AM

After last night's episode, I smell some sequels in the works. What an ending.

There sure can fit sequels into that ending. Some people may not have watched it yet so I am holding off more detailed comments.

I'm looking forward to the Drogo sequel. He had the best and most touching scene in the finale.

Me too. Or maybe George R R Martin will address in somehow in the books. I am way behind in the Game of Thrones books only being about 3/4 through the first one.

Chi-Town 05-25-2019 09:44 AM

Jon and Dany happy together with their little Targaryens, dire wolf pups, and baby dragons. And, of course, Tyrion by their side with a glass of wine in his hand. I'm with Disney on this one.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...963040ee90.jpg
