I assume you’re referring to The Lofts at Brownwood, so far there are only partially built elevator shafts. I think you’re safe as far as selling out.

That being said, maybe you’d want to call the sales office.

There is no guarantee, but, I would suggest that you contact an experienced Villages sales agent, and ask them to keep you informed of any updates and changes related to The Lofts, and then follow up periodically by email with them. I am also on The Lofts email list, and have never received any updates.

As far as I understand, they will be leased and not sold.

News Flash: No need to worry regarding being Sold Out, All of the Units will be Leased or Rented.

OK so without any info or knowledge of timing and intents for The Lofts they may well all be leased/rented before one can respond.

Does anybody KNOW the economic target of The Lofts??

There is a dire need of affordable housing surrounding The Villages to house the multitudes that work and serve in the businesses here.....even before the impact of the hundreds if not thousands to be employed in the burgeoning evolution Southward.

I suspect the target for the Lofts is the same as the target for the designer level home buyers. Wildwood is working on lower priced housing to service the business community that is here and is coming. I believe they have also approved an area for a tiny house community. The need exists in many areas of the State, lets hope the surrounding communities can find a solution since I don't see the lofts targeted for that role.

I can almost guarantee these will not be classified affordable housing.

The target is retirees who want o live in TV, don't want to buy a home or do upkeep.

There are always rumors, but noting the location the lofts are not going to be inexpensive. We are on the email list and am not surprised that no information has been released given the fact that only the stairwells are in place.

There will be a dog park, gym, and pool. Since rumor is there will be a one year lease and no sublet, we are thinking at least $2000.00 and up range.

mulligan 04-29-2019 07:47 AM

Those are not elevator shafts. Those are stairwells. Isolated by block walls from fire.

bilcon 04-29-2019 07:56 AM

OH Goody, some more people renting in TV, and getting alllll the benefits of ownership.

vintageogauge 04-29-2019 08:19 AM

When they first announced these it was noted that the price range was estimated to be in the upper teens or higher. However if demand is high the rental rates I'm sure will go even beyond $2,000.00/month. If there is going to be a dog park for them dogs must be allowed and I couldn't imagine living in an apartment with the possibility of having dogs above, below, and on both sides of me but there are plenty of people that don't mind them barking.

mschrief 04-29-2019 08:20 AM

I wonder what the rent will be on the Lofts...

New Englander 04-29-2019 10:53 AM

Do anyone know if these lofts will have a garage and will they be a second floor to each unit?

Oh geeze. Every big city has multiple high-rise apartments in their downtown that take dogs. The dog owners even become a community within the building, meeting at certain times of the day with their dogs.

Pets are a thing. They're here to stay.

Normally what happens with apartment rentals is that the first year price is pretty good, with increases every year thereafter.

I know, I have a dog, I'm just a very light sleeper and I did acknowledge that there are plenty of people that would not be bother by the dogs.

mulligan 04-30-2019 07:08 AM

When these were first announced, they were all second floor walk up with office/retail on the first floor. I don't believe that has changed.

You must be thinking of another project.

Looking at the (minimal) website, the picture shows a three story building, all apartments. No office or retail. For that you would go into Brownwood itself. This area is purely residential, with a swimming pool and rec center.

I think there is now a sign up to call the sales office if there is an interest so they are available.
