Map of TV
 

Hubby and I are considering a move to TV. I would love to have an old fashioned, fold out map of the entire TV area since we don't know yet if we want to buy a re-sale or new construction. I contacted the developer and received a map of only the new areas. I know I can access a map of the entire area on-line (and I have) but I would really like the convenience of looking at a full, fold out map. Is there anyplace that sells what I'm looking for? Thx for your help.

Yes, you can purchase the map for $5.00 or so at the gift shop in Lake Sumter Landing. There may be other locations as well.

You can buy maps at any of The Villages sales offices, which are located in all three of the town squares.

Also they are building new sections so rapidly the map of the new area you received is most likely not showing all of the streets that are down here.

NOTE: some of the maps of the new sections are very misleading as they show roads and golf cart paths that do NOT currently exist. For example a recent map in the Villages magazine showed all 3 golf cart bridges over 44 and the turnpike, the first one has not been installed yet. It also showed Megision road form route 44 to route 470, and this road is not even under construction yet!
I have GPS that is updated quarterly, and it still does not show the new areas. IMHO, use the Sumter County GIS system, and print out the areas you are interested in.

Since you are out-of-town, I believe you can simply call The Villages Banner Mercantile and order the map for $5.00. (I don't think they charge shipping, if I recall.)

Thanks so much for all the helpful replies : ) Also, can anyone personally recommend a Real Estate agent that they've been happy with? My contact with TV sales office resulted in a mailing that wasn't very helpful since it only had new construction and we're leaning towards a re-sale.

We used Priscilla Hart a few years ago, and she was very helpful. If you call the sales office, she remarried and I do not recall her new hyphenated last name, but they will have her contact info. We highly recommend her.

I am not sure, I know she does new homes, and resales could be through the villages, for sale by owner, or Multi-List realtor, so if you are looking for a resale, you need to contact 2 agents, one MLS and on Villages as they will have different listings.

I just received the street map from AAA today. It's very detailed and even shows the names of many of the villages within TV. The map has the following borders: 42 on the North, 44 on the South, 209 on the West and 25 on the East. I'm expecting another map or two from other sources that you guys suggested and I'll let you know if it's the same one. Thanks again!

The villages goes much farther south than route 44, and the only source of information I have found for this area is the Sumter County GIS system, and NO printed maps....

The newest sections of The villages are almost down to route 470 and across the turnpike, as least these are the planned areas, as I have not ventured that far, I do not have first hand knowledge of what roads have been completed.

Living south of SR44 we found that the Waze App was the most up to date mapping available.
